I’m looking for help with HTML and CSS, JavaScript etc. I’ve learned some basics before, but I’m struggling to retain the information and apply it on my own.
I work full-time, so I’m really looking for structured, hands-on guidance where we can build projects together and you can explain things in a simple way as we go.
I want to get to the point where I can confidently create my own web pages and eventually transition into a tech role.
Do you offer in-person sessions or a more structured plan for beginners who need extra support?
- Posted by Kaila,
I have started creating a wordpress site and need help. The website will be a reference place to give visitors information (not sell anything). The home page needs two different search boxes:
- A "lookup" box that will search and self-populate from post titles. The purpose of this search box will be to find the one specific post the user is looking for. All posts will have unique titles. Ideally, the search box will self-populate as you type (for example, if I have a post titled "Forest" and the user types in "Fore" the box will self complete the word "Forest" because it knows that is the post the user is trying to find.) but that feature is not necessary if it is hard to do. Then the user clicks “go” and will be taken to the single-post page for that post.
- Advanced search box that will full-text search all posts, but I want the interface to also have a list of checkboxes with the various tags, so the user has the option (instead of searching all posts) to limit the search to only posts with the selected tags. (For example, the user could just find every post that mentions the word "Forest", or the user could search for the word "Forest" only in posts that have Tags “Games” “Paintings” and “Green”.) There should also be a way for the user (without searching for any word) to just be able to say "show me all posts that have this Tag or this combination of Tags".
