So far my experience with WyzAnt has been excellent! In the first week that I created a profile a student emailed me directly and we set up a total of 3 lessons. The WyzAnt customer service staff was extremely courteous and helpful when I asked a question about creating my profile. Posting a video has enabled me to show potential students who I am. I am also able to see how much my competitors are charging for similar subjects. Overall I am VERY satisfied with my experience with WyzAnt and I look forward to continuing to work with them in the months, and even years to come!
Wyzant is the private tutor's dream come true!
Wyzant delivers students directly to the tutors doorstep, allows the tutor to set his or her own rate and charges only a reasonable percentage for handling all administrative matters. After only six months working for Wyzant, my net percentage increased from 60% of my hourly rate to 75%. The support department is quick, knowledgeable and helpful and the service seems to be gaining in popularity in South Florida. I would highly recommend Wyzant to any person who is serious about offering private tutoring services.
I have been working with WyzAnt for over a year now and it's been a very good experience! My profile is always available online so it's easy for the students to find me. I have had many students this past year and I have been very pleased with WyzAnt. The team is always available to answer my questions but at the same time I manage my account as I want. I really recommend WyzAnt for all new or experienced tutors!

By requiring all teachers to certify themselves in the subjects with a short test and write a short personal statement, Wyzant provides a reliable interface for tutors to pitch & sell their expertise to students who are assured that they will get the best value for their money. In sum, Wyzant makes it easy for even first-time tutors to translate their talents & skills into cash while choosing their own hours/workload. Anyone can use it - highly recommended!
This website has been long overdue. It allows parents and students to finally be able to have access to professional tutoring for their children easily and conveniently. I've been tutoring for over 12 years. I only wish this website had been around when I started.
Wyzant, in home tutoring, has really helped me branch out to more students in my area. This service is very convenient for finding students, retaining them, and helps document the progress of all of the students you tutor. I find that students/parents like the fact that Wyzant has screened and has quality tutors within their system. Wonderful to work with
Wyzant is doing great!! If you have issues with customer payments, or other customer related issues the team of reps are always on hand to help you. I also like the feature that allows potential students to contact you directly, and not through a search pool.
I find WyzAnt to be a brilliant way for tutors to be matched up with potential clients and for clients to find qualified tutors. As a tutor, this eliminates the tedious process of looking for a steady source of clients. WyzAnt does all the work for you. All you have to do is create a profile and clients will contact you. It's a win-win situation for all sides.

I am so happy to find Wyzant. It has connected me to many students. I currently work weekly with two students. I have worked with others and they were good experiences as well.
I joined WyzAnt about a year ago. I have been impressed with how the web site was laid out. I loved how the home page gave clear and concise links to get everything I needed, and every page I viewed had the information that was spot on. The subject certification process really helped me gauge my level in a variety of subjects. The WyzAnt folks have always been very accommodating with answering my questions - I feel like I am a valued member of their team. I think my biggest joy has been that WyzAnt has helped me connect to many students in the Los Angeles metro area and help them and see how excited they get in our sessions. They are more confident in their subjects and the confidence shows in the results they are achieving in school and the tutoring sessions.
So far I have really enjoyed using WyzAnt! I think it's great that you have to pass quizzes to get certified in a topic. I'm looking forward to getting a tutoring job with WyzAnt!
I have had a very pleasant experience with WyzAnt. I found it very easy to create my own profile. I had to wait a while for my first student but it was worth it once I started tutoring. The payment process is very easy and working with WyzAnt is safe and secure. I would recommend this site to anybody who would like to teach or learn.
As a busy PhD student, I wanted to make extra money tutoring, but I didn't have the time to market myself. Through WyzAnt, potential students come looking for me. I have had more requests for tutoring than I can accommodate. Hence, I have the luxury of being able to select students that best fit my schedule and whose needs are closest to those areas that I teach -- thus ensuring that I am most able to help them. I also like that I don't have to discuss money with my clients, they see my rate up front and pay WyAant, which pays me, always in a timely manner. I think everyone is happy with this service.
Easy to Use
Great setup and system for students and tutors to be able to come together. It was easy to setup appointments and go out and do my job. I have had no problems on the job forefront. Thank you for a reliable source.
My experience has been good with WyzAnt. I picked up a student after a few weeks and WyzAnt has been very good about communicating with me on my student. They immediately e-mailed me at my personal e-mail address when my student first showed an interest in using my services. They also provided timely info on submitting lesson plans and other procedures specific to WyzAnt. Overall, a good experience.
I started tutoring for Wyzant at the beginning of August 2008. It is a great way to network whether students/parents find you or wyzant contacting you if someone might need your services. Everyone is very professional and polite. The best thing is your student gets one-on-one attention that he or she might not be receiving in the classroom. I use examples from class, and then I invent new ideas to make things more interesting and relevant to life that I then use in my classroom. I only wish that more people, whether they are students or adults, would inquire more about French!

I have been teaching for WyzAnt since the summer of 2010. All my paychecks have been by direct deposit. The website is designed to see how each penny earned is distributed to the tutor. One great thing about WyzAnt is the fact that I can find new jobs every day, and students often send me emails asking for my tutoring services. I do my best to make sure my students get what they need, and they are happy. WyzAnt does the same for me, and makes it so easy! All of my regular students have improved their test scores and grades, and most of them are getting A's and B's now. Thank you WyzAnt, for helping us find each other. WyzAnt is the best!
I just performed my first lesson, and I think that WyzAnt runs an excellent system. My student actually found me, and through the e-mail system we were able to set up a meeting. Things went quite well - and I hope this was just the first of many success stories to come!
WyzAnt - Top of the line organization, marketing, and technical support
When I first signed on to become a Wyzant tutor in November, 2010, I had absolutely no idea what would ensue at that point. All I knew is that I had a strong desire to increase my visibility to prospective tutoring clients in the widest possible fashion. What has transpired since April, 2011 has truly amazed me. In just a little over a year's time from that point I am currently closing in on 400 hours of logged in session time. I've always had a lot of drive and been detail-oriented, so to be able to partner with a national tutoring business that has an A++ website design in every sense of the imagination has been a godsend. The structure for supplying ALL different kinds of detailed information is in place and there is no limit as to what one can achieve with this. Technical and account status issues have been repeatedly resolved in a courteous and timely fashion, and ongoing website and program upgrades will only make reaching targeted audiences that much more effective. To borrow a line from the conclusion of my high school valedictory address, "To us there are no limits, our limit is the sky", describes the mindset that will continue to ring true with my WyzAnt experiences. I think WyzAnt is a very professional organization. They are very prompt in responding to us when a student has requested us as a tutor. Also they are very prompt in the procedure for payment. I have and would recommend this company to prospective students and tutors alike. I also like the fact that any tutor can respond to the prospective tutoring opportunities and we are not forced to accept any particular position. I am happy I found this outlet as a means of tutoring and helping students.

Great way to connect with students
What is great about Wyzant is it allows educators to easily connect with students. It has been a positive experience using the website and it is simple for students to see what each instructor is about by seeing their bio. The filtering feature makes it easier to see what potential jobs might be out there within your teaching scope. A mobile app would be a great addition for me and instructors who use a lot of mobile apps as their communication. Overall, a great resource to get out there to connect and educate the eager mind.

WyzAnt is King of all online tutoring networks! Not only can I advertise myself and my services as a tutor to a broad range of students, but students can do the same themselves to tutors all over the country via the valuable method of two-way communication-marketing both parties can take advantage of when trying to attract business. When a student (or their parent/guardian) is ready to reach out and touch the hand of the perfect tutor, the student can do so by advertising a gig on the network with a detailed description of what/who they are looking for in a tutor. Gigs of sorts are viewable for tutors "qualified to teach a certain subject" (you have to either A) pass a test to verify your core knowledge in a given academic field of interest and expertise; or B) submit your qualifications to tutor a specific subject via the business assets of your own professional background as an educator), and if interested, the tutor can "Apply for the job" by clicking the gig's link to learn more about the job's offerings, submit a cover letter introducing themselves to the student electronically via email, and then wait for a response from the student. This feature is extremely handy because it allows the tutor to make the first move when negotiating a business contact! As usual, a student can reach out to a tutor directly on the network via a personal email, stating their own business proposition, and inquiring about the tutor's interest in- and availability for carrying out the job at hand. Finally, perhaps the greatest means of communicative connectivity appears in the form of online lesson submissions on the tutor's part. Before money can be earned (deducted directly from student's previously-submitted credit card payment information upon hiring a tutor from the network), a tutor must provide a fairly detailed written description of the lesson carried out with their student(s) following the actual tutoring session. This is excellent for record-keeping on behalf of both the student and tutor! The tutor can keep track of what they have done with the student up to a point, and the student/parent-guardian can make note of how much progress their child has made over a given period of time! If all goes well, you will find yourself attracting multitudes of students, enough to possibly make tutoring your full-time academic profession for years to come! And in the event that you do a tip-top job as an instructor, your students will provide testimonials of your excellent service on your profile for all current and future students to read when selecting a tutor of their own. Thanks to the wisdom of WyzAnt, students can improve their academic performance, and tutors can expand their professional horizons!
WyzAnt is set up wisely to serve both sides of the transaction
After working with and for WyzAnt for only a few months I am convinced that this is the easiest, most transparent and most helpful tutoring service for both the tutors and the students. The site is super easy to work, heads-up come in my email about potential students, emailing through the site protects the privacy of both ends of the connection, and direct deposit with notice is fabulous. I have recommended WyzAnt to several possible tutors and will continue to do so. This is good part-time work for me that I can totally control. Big thanks to those in charge. Great idea!!
Great service
WyzAnt quickly sends me emails about new tutoring opportunities for tutoring Chemistry in my area. Without WyzAnt, I would not be able to effectively know about these opportunities. I have found WyzAnt to be excellent in their service and the website is very easy to navigate. The WyzAnt team is a great opportunity for me.

I have been working with WyzAnt for almost a year. I moved back to Conneticut from Spain, after being with my family for 5 years, so I did not know anybody in Connecticut. Thanks to WyzAnt finding new students was so easy. I am very thankful to WyzAnt. Every time I had a problem or a question WyzAnt was very professional helping me and answering all my questions. WyzAnt has been a godsend. I have tutored accounting, finance, and a variety of subjects over the last 10 years as needed. WyzAnt has provided me with a virtual home office and a venue by which I can match myself with students who want to be successful. From a business aspect, payments are made easier so I can focus on what matters: making my students the best they can be as they further educate themselves. I submitted my application to become a tutor on Saturday 9/25/2010. My account was activated by 9/28/2010 Tuesday afternoon which was extremely fast. I certified for my subjects by taking the tests which were very fair. I started checking for tutoring jobs and found some immediately. Some other tutoring companies that I have used don't get as many leads as WyzAnt. This proves to me that they are doing a great job with marketing and their tutors are happy. Another great benefit is that they will pay you by direct deposit, even every day if you choose that option! Most tutoring companies do not offer direct deposit. The website is very easy to understand and I have been getting emails from WyzAnt about new opportunities. I highly recommend WyzAnt for anyone that is looking for tutoring opportunities.
Simple way to build a client base
I have really enjoyed using WyzAnt. It has been easy to use and easy to get clients. I like that I've been able to make this work with my schedule and it takes the worry out of keeping financial records and how to arrange payment. The feedback option is great. I was flattered to see what my clients wrote about me and it definitely improves my reputation as a tutor to have positive feedback on my page. I've only been a tutor with WyzAnt for a few months, but so far, so good.

WyzAnt Tutoring
WyzAnt is very prompt and efficient at matching tutors with students. I like the freedom of being able to select clients in place of being assigned them from a regional representative. It gives the job a lot more of an independent feeling, and there is a lot of satisfaction in that. Over my past couple of months with WyzAnt, I have absolutely no complaints and only positive things to say about the company. It is great and I look forward to being in an continual business partnership with WyzAnt.
I was looking for a part-time job and found the WyzAnt website via a Google Search. When I saw the request for help from a mother of a high school senior needing a tutor to help her child pass Algebra 2 to graduate from high school, as a Chemical Engineer and tutor for Algebra 2, I quickly signed up and passed the certification exam to provide help.
