Great tutoring session
It's very overwhelming trying to find a tutor for your child to help them when they are feeling "under-able" to keep up in school. I was very happy to find WyzAnt and to know that they were researching all of their tutors and that I could feel confident that the tutors on the site would have the necessary skills to help my child understand his school work. I was also very happy to see that the fees were clearly posted and that I would be able to use WyzAnt to handle the interchange of payment. The process felt very "safe" as I first corresponded by email with our chosen tutor before exchanging phone numbers. Once we had scheduled our first session, the tutor was prompt and friendly when he arrived at our home. My son was apprehensive about the need to have a tutor and about what the tutor would actually be able to teach him (which is probably pretty consistent for teenage boys). I was happy to hear him showing signs of excitement as he worked problems with his tutor and learned the steps needed to solve his algebra II problems. After just two sessions, my son was able to obtain a high B on a quiz, having passed only one other graded assignment since school began. He also has gained the sense that he is able to solve the algebraic equations on his own and is now very happy to know that he has another session scheduled so that he can continue to supplement his classroom learning with one-on-one sessions with his tutor. Children all learn in different manners and finding someone who can relate to a teenager, share their knowledge and correct mistakes without making a child feel ashamed or belittled has given me hope that we may survive this year of algebra II. I am envisioning a year of weekly sessions which my son will look forward to and be open to being a full participant in the learning experience. I truly didn't expect such a quick response to just two sessions. Seeing results this quickly is amazing and I am thankful that I decided to take action when I did and that I was lucky enough to find WyzAnt and their vetted tutors. Having the option of prepaying for sessions and receiving a significant discount is a wonderful extra.
Excellent Tutor Service
WyzAnt is a great service for anyone looking for a tutor. You simply input your location and the subjects you need help with and WyzAnt will give you a list of local tutors who specialize in those subjects. The tutor we chose to work with is excellent. She comes organized and ready to work. She does a great job of coordinating with my daughter's classroom teacher so that she is always prepared to work on topics that are being covered in class. The website is easy to navigate and the lesson payment is automatic. WyzAnt takes care of the details, so we can focus on learning!
Awsome tutor and wonderful easy company to work with
WyzAnt has been a wonderful and easy tutoring company to work with. I just set up an account on a credit card and they debit my account once the tutoring session is over. I then receive an electronic report of charges and a chance to rate my tutor. If you are so inclined you can request a background check on you tutor. It's a really savvy company. The tutor we chose for my son is awesome. My son was really struggling in algebra 1. The tutor we choose, Sanjay, is dedicated and encouraging. In the first session my son felt more confident and excited about his math homework and tests. Sanjay has not only showed him the way it's taught in his class but tips and tricks for doing the problems so he recognizes and can set up the problems on his own. I could go on and on. I am so happy and glad I found your company. I give your company a A+ rating and my tutor a A+ rating. Thank you again WyzAnt and Sanjay. You are so appreciated.
Great selection
I love this website.. I am a science major in college and have used this site twice for my science classes I have struggled with. The tutors are knowledgeable and they know how to explain things in many different ways. I will be back for more help as I continue on. My first experience was with Physics and man did I hate that subject. The tutor made it so my math skills were better and he helped me understand the concepts behind the math. Right now I am currently being tutored in chem 2 for college and Its hard there's a lot of math and misusing the formulas was becoming an disaster for me. I found I tutor who was eager to teach me and shes doing a great job at it. I'm not dreading going to class every night and the labs are becoming fun now that I get the concept behind it.
very easy!
I was looking for a chemistry tutor for my college chemistry class. I searched Google several times and contacted people with personal tutoring websites. I came up empty handed every time. I was about to give up when I came across WyzAnt. I was able to find someone close to home who was willing to take on a college course. I found that tutors on other websites were not willing to help at the level I needed. I was able to contact Sally before I had to pay and fill her in on my situation. She replied very promptly and we were able to set up our first session in less than a week. I have been very happy with her help thus far. She is very patient and was able to quickly see where I struggled. I will continue to use Sally and have passed on the WyzAnt site to other students in my class who are needing help. In the beginning I was a little worried about paying up front for the tutoring time since there are so many scams online. Now that everything is set up and going, I really like paying through the website. I don't have to worry about having cash or remembering my checkbook. I simply pay for a few hours and I'm good to go for a few weeks. Overall, I am impressed with WyzAnt and will continue to use Sally for as long as she can handle me. :)

Easiest way to get tutoring help.
This has been the easiest way to get tutoring help for my kids. I have had two different tutors. One for Algebra 2, Pamela P. and one for Chemistry, Anthony B. Both were really great. It has been very simple. My daughter does not have to worry about paying the tutor or forgetting the money. It has been taken care of with our account. It has worked well for us. I will keep using your program.

My son has been using WyzAnt since last January and I wish I had found out about them sooner! I love how easy it is to find a tutor, read about their backgrounds and make the connection with them. It is so easy to pay for the lessons and I appreciate the discount if you sign up for a package. Annette is my son's tutor and I can't say enough great things about her! First of all, the level of her commitment and concern for his well being is amazing. She has gone above and beyond to rearrange her schedule to meet with him when he has had important tests coming up and always sends great feedback on his lessons. Great Tutor Search
I am a teacher and I often need to find a tutor for enrichment for my students. Finding tutors through your site is a wonderful experience. You have done all of the work, and when we hire a tutor, I feel like I already know them. Also, their education backgrounds are impressive. Payment is so easy and I appreciate the random coupons that you offer that help defray the cost. The charges are usually fair (some are overpriced) but there is enough of a choice that it is easy to find a tutor in our price range. I intend to use your site for all of my students tutoring needs.
