Easy and efficient site
Met with Chris for the first time today. He spent time getting to know me and how I process. I split the hour with my son. We didn't have much time together but we're able to formulate a plan for my success. I felt Chris was supportive and encouraging. WyzAnt was easy to use. I'm not one that has the greatest computer skills so for me to get around the site and explore the potential offers and feel that is was "friendly" is huge. I have considered tutoring before but was put off by the site being too complicated. Even though I knew who I wanted as a tutor, I received many responses to my inquiry. I looked up the profiles of the tutors who responded and decided to stick with one that I had already chosen. Because I am in a program that will take me a few years, I opted for the largest plan and was happy to get the discount. My children have done other programs and I have never been offered a discount even when having multiple children at the site or being a repeat customer. I also like that my tutor sends an email after we have met summing up the work for the day. It helps me as a parent to monitor the work my son and he are doing (even though he (tutor) is awesome at communicating with me in person also). I can also send my own comments and questions to him via email. I found my tutor to be flexible, available and proficient and am looking forward to the next time we meet. Knowing I have someone to help me through the things I find challenging makes me feel much more confident as a student. We all have our strengths and weaknesses. It's great to have someone support me in the trenches.
Awesome System for Introducing Tutors to Students
WyzAnt is able to clearly provide you with the specific information you need regarding your tutoring needs. I was able to type in the subject and zip code, and immediately a list of options appeared. It saves you time by giving a personal introduction by the tutor, as well as a list of their qualifications/experiences/certifications and the tutor's rate. This way you can easily shuffle through the list and find what meets your needs and budget conveniently without having to go through an awkward negotiation. It's great that they guarantee the first hour, that way if it doesn't work out with that first tutor, you can find another one without feeling like you have lost money. I was surprised when I started getting emails from tutors that located ME offering me their services-- making it even easier on me! It's a great system that I personally found to be very helpful and reliable. I would definitely recommend it to others. In fact, I already have!
Great tutor!
Our son was struggling with Geometry and were in need of a tutor. Joshua R's bio sounded great but we weren't sure how he would connect with our son. We are so glad we picked him because he has made math fun and easy for our son. Our experience has been nothing but positive. It's nice that he can accommodate our schedule when needed. I love paying via computer for our tutoring, it convenient and never having to deal with money with tutor.
Great Tutors
WyzAnt offers great tutor selections at your fingertips. I am taking Pre Med courses in Chemistry and Physics and am using WyzAnt tutors for both subjects. The tutors are friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I am now more confident in the applications and mechanics of both subjects and feeling overall more comfortable in these subjects. I will be using WyzAnt for my future coursework as I find it better to be well equipped than not prepared.

Excellent website. Many experienced and qualified tutors to choose from. WyzAnt made it easy to find help for my child. All you do is browse the site to find the best individual that meets all your needs. Once you submit your choice, you contact the tutor to set up the time. All payments are made on line directly to WyzAnt. It is easy and convenient. My child has had six tutoring sessions and all have been very beneficial. His confidence and interest in the subject have increased.
Great Tutor Search
WyzAnt is very helpful for me. It gives the easiest way to search and choose a tutor. I am very happy with my tutor and I am looking for other tutors to help me with other things. The price is reasonable with the discount offer, but if we could have a payment plan, it would be much more better for students. Overall, I am satisfied with WyzAnt and I would recommend this website to someone who needs assistant in their particular needs.
Helped me find a great tutor!

Great tutor options and selection
WyzAnt has an extensive selection of knowledgeable and eager to help people on the roster. During my search for a math tutor for my 5th grader, I was supported with good customer service and a large pool of applicants offering their services. I finally chose someone with an engaging personality and a wonderful knowledge of math to help my kiddo. I look forward to more sessions with the WyzAnt tutor.

WyzAnt - A Pretty Wise Move
What a find WyzAnt has been for me and my granddaughter! I looked at other options and not only were they extremely expensive for these tough economic times, but they also required that we go out to their facilities, (another expense). In addition, that would mean another night or two out of the house when she is only four and she already has pre-school during the day and classes on three nights. So far this has been a perfect solution to my dilemma about tutoring my granddaughter in reading. I taught my own children to read, but my work schedule has become increasingly hectic making it impossible to devote the needed amount of time to tutoring her myself. I also got to choose someone I thought would suit her personality and learning style. Where else would that be possible? I appreciate the ease of paying for lessons as well. The payment is posted in a timely manner so you don't forget about it and they send you a receipt immediately. WyzAnt: It just makes sense, economics-wise, time-wise, personality-wise, needs-based, WISE, common sense. My wise old aunt would be proud.
Pleasant surprise with tutoring experience
I needed a Spanish tutor for my son and I wasn't sure how to go about finding one. I found WyzAnt through Google. Once I put in my request for a tutor I got a response within a day. She lives in our same town so we don't have to drive far to meet. I also worried that my son would not want to go each week, but that has not been the case. The tutor we found is not only excellent at speaking and teaching Spanish, she seems to relate well to my son which seems to make the sessions enjoyable and fun. He brought his grade up from an F to a C in just 3 weeks, and I think it will continue to rise. His class participation grade is also much better, as when the teacher calls on him in class he is able to answer the questions. He comments after each session that it was good and helpful. Payment for lessons is very simple. I bought a lesson package in advance and a day or two after each lesson, I get an email stating the date of my last lesson and the cost and what the remaining balance is on my account. Overall I'm very pleased with our experience with WyzAnt and we'll continue to see our Spanish tutor. If we ever need a tutor in another subject, we'll definitely seek one through WyzAnt.
