Great Tutor Sessions
I have used WyzAnt to find two tutors. Both experiences have been very productive. The tutors have been prompt and extremely helpful. I will be recommending WyzAnt to my friends.
This is a good website to find a good tutor
It is a efficient way to find a good tutor help yourself. I highly recommend it. They have qualified the tutors or tested them already, maybe. The tutor is very responsible. But I just have a corporate experience with one tutor, I do not know others.

Tackling The GRE
I have been lucky in finding a reliable, responsible, and competent tutor for my journey in taking the GRE. My tutor has surpassed my expectations and knows how to simplify complicated material. I shall continue to access WyzAnt for all my tutoring needs and patronize my tutor, no matter where she is! There will be many more opportunities to use her abilities in math as I progress in my academic career.
Great Tutor Search and Selection
WyzAnt has been a very valuable tool for me. I was able to fine a wonderful tutor, Amanda T. for my son. The first tutor that I reached out to did not respond to me. I was amazed how WyzAnt was able to notice that after a couple of days and sent me an email apologizing for the non-response and suggested a couple of other tutors of which Amanda T. was one. It worked out great!
Wonderful tool for finding a qualified tutor
My son was not doing well in Pre-Calculus. As a college-bound senior, it was VERY important for him to keep up his grades. I found WyzAnt through a Google search. It was super easy to find qualified tutors living close to our home. I emailed several tutors and got a great response from all of them. Once the tutor we chose started working with my son, his grades improved dramatically. In fact, he got a 100% on his first quiz after he began meeting with the tutor. The pre-paid aspect of WyzAnt is great too. If I am not home, my husband doesn't have to worry about how much to pay. I would recommend WyzAnt to anyone looking for a tutor!

I am so relieved to find this student service on-line. I was skeptical, but thought I would give this a try after reading reviews from other users. The payment methods are very easy and convenient, no exchanging money and checks at the time of service are necessary. My son's tutor is fantastic! My son was failing before his tutor stepped in to the picture. He is a fantastic tutor who is easy going, knowledgeable, and patient. His ability to explain my son's class/home work has been phenomenal! My son scored high in his End Of Grade tests, and pulled all his graded up to A's and B's! I recommend the use of Wyzant for the quality of the instructors available and the price range. Very personalized, not anything like those 'centers' who charge way more than most can afford and do not focus on the individual needs of the student. Thanks so much for this innovative service!

Only wish I knew about it earlier!
WyzAnt is great. I used it to find a tutor for my son in Organic Chemistry. Of the four tutors who we initially connected with, all were very honest about their abilities and availability. The tutor we ultimately selected worked well with my son, enabling him to "come form behind" and score well on the ACS Organic Chemistry final exam. The detail of the tutor descriptions was very helpful in initial screening, and the care and professionalism of the tutors affiliated with WyzAnt was excellent.

Great Tutor The Next Day
The response time to get a qualified tutor was fast. The selection of potential tutors was beyond what I would have expected. The tutor was very friendly and was able to quickly hone in on what my son needed most. The experience was easy and I wouldn't go elsewhere for a tutor.
Great Tutor Search and Support
I was very skeptical at first but the quick responses from many tutors was very impressive. The WyzAnt process is set up to protect both student and tutor; it is a safe procedure and I would recommend it to anyone. My tutor made me feel very comfortable when he chose the UNCW campus library for lessons; I think this is important when you are meeting people for the first time. I am also impressed with WyzAnt's screening process and payment process once a tutor has been chosen; I wish I had known about this web site sooner. The quick responses from Wyzant during the set-up process was also very helpful and overall I was surprised with how quickly I was able to get started with tutoring. Great tutor search, selection etc
I am impressed with this site. The tutor search and quality available teachers is good. Customer Support was helpful and friendly. Payment easy and appreciate a discount pkg. I have had 4 sessions with my tutor and have also tried another via Skype. I like that I can meet one in person and one on Skype as their teaching styles are different and helpful to my style of learning. I have referred a great tutor to this site because I like it so much. Great tutor selection but some are unresponsive
I finally found a great tutor after searching for 3 months: the first selected was perfect but withdrew due to lack of compliance with background check, then several others were located too far outside of my area; I finally located a tutor that was within my area that would work for me and had the qualifications I was looking for as an adult learner.
Excellent Resource for Tutors
We conducted an online search for a local tutor for refresher courses for career purposes. We found your site, and the website was easy to navigate, which is very helpful to us. Everything we did was simple and efficient. Wyzant's set-up of profiles and bio's of tutors is extremely helpful in determining which one to choose, and it took us not very long to do so. The tutor we picked is excellent (Marc R in Providence, RI), and continuing to provide wonderful lessons. The method of payment is professional, safe and secure.
Finding A Tutor and WyzAnt Follow-up
I received a response from a tutor in my area within my area the same day of my request. I placed a call to the WyzAnt 800 number one evening and the call was returned promptly the next morning. I have been very pleased with the response of the tutors and WyzAnt team and the overall experience.

Great company and great tutors
I started using this service about a month ago and so far I have been very impressed with the service and the tutor. At first I was hesitant but I have not had any problems. When I called in to ask questions about the company, the staff was very polite, courteous and friendly. They were able to direct me accordingly. Our tutor has also been a blessing to our family and my daughter adores her.

finding and working
I happened to find WyzAnt though google search. I could easily find what I was looking for, before I even had to sign up. I liked that. I could make myself a picture of teachers - with actual pictures!! This helped me a lot as well to find the right tutor - offered by Wyzant. I was impressed by the number of qualified tutors in your network. As it seems that some of them have been working with/through you for quite some time, I get the feeling that your system seems to work well. I liked the idea of your checking on tutors to verity quality and reliability. It is my first time entering any kind of online "matching"-system, but I like it now. By the way, our tutor is great as well. So far a perfect fit!! I am a very happy mother now!!

Geometry Tutor
So far great. We found out about WyzAnt through a friend. I asked her who tutored her son and she gave me his name. I followed procedures and now he is tutoring my son. It has worked out great. I did not have to do much research on the tutor because I trusted her judgement. I would recommend WyzAnt to others.
Great Tutor and Website
We have an amazingly great tutor! It was easy and convenient reviewing the various tutors in our area, and so convenient to be able to communicate with the tutors to ask questions before choosing our first choice. Meagan is absolutely perfect for my son as she uses patient and picture to help him understand the work.
Quality of tutoring
The web page is great. It is clear that the student needs to be proactive on searching and analyzing the data provided by the tutor. In my experience, various of the tutors didn't respond within 48 hrs, took longer for them to respond. However, I called the 1-877 number and your representatives were excellent in providing support and follow up. I tried with one tutor that has 100+ hours of tutoring and has excellent reviews based on a good number of students. I gave her a try and after the second lesson I knew I need a tutor with a greater experience, knowledge, methodology and techniques to teach TOEFL. I already interviewed a new tutor over the phone and will give them a try.

My entire Wyzant experience, from tutor to customer service, has been above bar. My tutor, Mark M, has been accommodating, flexible and helpful. The Wyzant customer service reps talk to you and not at you, which is a refreshing professional deviation from the present day norm. And, algebra is finally making sense. Awesome Tutor Experience
My daughter was tutored for SAT and ACT exam prep. My only regret is that we did not use WyzAnt to find this awesome tutor earlier. We have received recently taken SAT scores with an unbelievable increase in her scores and ACT scores are pending. I have already told others about WyzAnt and hope those persons needing a tutor take advantage of the opportunity to find a great tutor. Great tutor, Easy to find, Great process
We were looking for a reading tutor for our seven year old and stumbled upon WyzAnt. It took no time at all to get a number of tutors that were close by and met our criteria. We found Emily (who is awesome!) and were able to get started within the week. She has met with our son weekly for three weeks and already we see tremendous improvement! I would highly recommend this site to anyone looking for a tutor.

Great Tutor Search and Selection
I used Wyzant to find a high school science tutor for my daughter. The process was very easy. I entered my requirements and was quickly contacted by several qualified tutors. I was able to communicate with them via e-mail to determined whether their schedules and qualifications would be a good fit. I ended up hiring Dean C and he has been working with my daughter for a few weeks. He is excellent. He knows the science material well and works very effectively with my daughter. She likes him too, which has not always been the case with other tutors we have had. I also appreciate the fact that I can handle payment for Dean's services online and do not have to worry about paying him directly. I like your discount packages too. You have a fantastic service! Very Helpful to find tutors that fit your needs
This site was really helpful to find tutors that fit our specific needs. It helps that tutors are accountable and have to write notes on their sessions. Very nice service. The background check also helps a lot getting a comfortable feeling.

Positive WyzAnt Experience
I have had a positive experience using WyzAnt. I received prompt responses from possible tutors, and the profiles were helpful in my selection. My daughter was really struggling, and we were able to set up her first lesson quickly. The payment method also makes things easier not having to deal with that at the time of her lesson.
Very satisfied with entire process
I needed a tutor for my 8th grade son and haven't been impressed with what I've seen about the store-front tutoring agencies. I did an internet search for tutors in my area and found the perfect solution through WyzAnt. I requested more information from the tutor we were interested in, Jay McTaggart, through the WyzAnt website on a Sunday afternoon. The gentleman called me early Monday morning, we met with him Monday night and he started tutoring on Thursday - my son's choice of day and time, although Jay would have happily done it anytime including BEFORE SCHOOL if my son wanted him to. At the end of each lesson we get an e-mail from the tutor with a recap and assessment and an e-mail from WyzAnt with a summary of the lesson as well as an opportunity to rate the lesson. Our tutor submits the time and we get an email letting us know that we will be charged for the contracted rate. It's only been 3 weeks but my son has shown improvement already and we have had no problems with the any aspect of the process. I would recommend this service to anyone looking for a tutor.
WyzAnt- user friendly WyzAnt tutor- reliable and helpful
I had to study for a test using a data analysis program I have no experience using, STATA, my tutor came over to my apartment building office center with the program on his lap top to help me study. After a few study session- I actually passed the test. Very thankful I had a tutor and was able to pass my test! Thanks WyzAnt!
Excellent Tutor Find
We are very happy with WyzAnt's service. The tutor we selected is doing a wonderful job, and we are very pleased with the online follow-up after each tutoring session. The selection process worked very well for us. We were able to view the person's profile, email them, and also meet with them for an in-person interview. Greatly impressed with tutor and process!!!
I was nervous (and embarrassed) about finding a tutor who would fit my "simple" refresher needs, but the brief biographies on the home pages were very helpful, and I found just what I needed! The process has been easy to understand,and I have appreciated the quick updates as far a lessons and payments due. I also appreciate promptness, so the immediate feedback gives me even more faith in the process and WyzAnt. My tutor has made all of the difference! She has been outstanding at meeting my needs. I hope that others have found the same success! She NEVER rushes and just assumes that I have understood the process, but evaluates and is more that willing to further explain and let me practice many times until I feel comfortable! Payment for lessons reduces awkwardness
My experience with WyzAnt has been very positive and I'm so glad this service exists (and that it came out of my home town Chicago!). I have been in DC for about 10 years and have used foreign language tutors on and off for almost the entire time, even serving as a tutor myself. What I like about WyzAnt the most, aside from the fact that it's quite populated with tutors which I did not expect (I expected Craig's List to have more), is that you pay the web-site and not the person. This helps create accountability and serve as a buffer between both sides. I committed to a number of sessions because of WyzAnt's payment structure, which I otherwise would not have done, and my tutor settles payment with WyzAnt, not me. Serving as the broker or agent between us frees us up to actually focus on the lesson and not worry about the underlying money exchange that often creates awkwardness or discomfort among both parties (particularly among international tutors, I've noticed). Anyway, thanks for this great service! Although I have only used tutors for foreign languages, I am now encouraged to seek other tutors (photography, cooking) and even have my husband post his tutoring services. Thanks!
Convenient, affordable and effective service
I tried finding a tutor by posting an ad at the local colleges, but due to the higher level of math involved, did not receive any responses. Then I found the website for WyzAnt, where I had access to many local tutors with experience, background checks and credentials. The site is easy to use, secure for payment and there are many choices so you can tailor your selection to location, experience, price, availability or whatever your selection criteria requires. This has been a great resource for finding a good match.
