Why didn't I know about this sooner?
Tutoring facilities suck. At least in my experience. When I realized I needed a math tutor, I was SOOOOO irritated at the prospect of wasting my money on some tutor with a rigid teaching method that's going to rob me for all I'm worth. So I went to google and found WyzAnt. Since tutors vary in price it was a lot easier to find something in my budget, and the reviews help me determine if a tutor seems to be what I'm looking for. I was kind of nervous handing over my payment information, but WyzAnt has customer service policies that protect clients from being charged for services they either didn't want or weren't satisfied with. I spent about $100 on tutoring and placed two math levels higher than before, saving me about $400 in unnecessary tuition. THANK YOU WYZANT!
Lots of qualified tutors!
I've used two tutors so far for my son, one for AP calculus and the other for editing college application essays. What I like about using WyzAnt Tutoring is the ease of finding qualified tutors on very short notice. Both tutors emailed me back within few hours of my request and my son received the help he needed. Both tutors were knowledgeable and personable. I like that there is a tutor for every budget and there are plenty of tutors to choose from. I also like that there is no upfront fees or the need to purchase a plan in order to start service, the pay as you go works for me. I will definitely use WyzAnt in the future and will recommend this service to anyone who needs extra help. Thanks.
Great tutor search
So far I am very happy with the tutoring experience and how easy it is to use wyzant. I love being able to look at the tutors' profiles and have tutors contact me. I chose a math tutor I thought would best fit my son's needs but after three sessions I decided to try someone else and actually think the new tutor is a better match for my son. I like how easy it is to try someone else. I also like the "paypal" system and not having to worry about paying the tutor directly.
My Experience with WyzAnt
My experience has been very positive - my husband was the one who signed up for WyzAnt to find a Spanish tutor for me as a birthday gift! We are now living in Miami and my high school/college Spanish has not be used for a very long time. He went through the service to find several choices for local tutors. On my birthday, he gave me the list of eight people he believed were a good fit and then I went in and found the tutor who I thought would be perfect for me. The suggestion of meeting a potential tutor before beginning the process was excellent. We met for coffee and I very quickly knew she was perfect for me. One other plus of WyzAnt, when you have a problem with the site and need help, WyzAnt customer support troubleshoots and responds quickly with a solution. I highly recommend WyzAnt for motivated individuals who need tutoring support!
Helpful customer support
I found WyzAnt over google. I am from Germany and I stay in Chatham for holidays, so I wanted to improve my English and I was looking for a teacher. Grace to WyzAnt I found the next day a teacher, who lives in Chatham and worked with me every day. The organization of WyzAnt is perfect, fast ongoing and seems to be very confidence building. If I will come next time to U.S. I will already book a tutor with WyzAnt. They have highly qualified tutors and I can trust to be there in " ood hands".
Go For It!
Using WyzAnt has been the easiest and smartest decision I could have made for my 7 year old daughters tutoring needs. The customer service is excellent and the services are very user friendly and easy to use. You can research your prospective tutors education, feedback from students (or their parents), and get a background check as an added security measure to make sure you are comfortable. I recommend anyone that is in the market for a tutor to use WyzAnt, it's the BEST.
Finding a French tutor
This was a great experience. I received multiple contacts for French tutors in my area and the one we selected has been very easy to work with.

The only thing I would change is the part where you think you are emailing one person and it turns out to be a whole bunch or at least make the opt out part of that way larger so you know it is gonna happen otherwise.

I was astonished when I googled "AP Chemistry Tutor" and WyzAnt popped up. I found three excellent tutors with high credentials and all answered our need. One is a chemistry teacher and another is a Chemist. In addition, I was pleased to discover that WyzAnt has the tutors go through a background check. This made me feel secure as the mother of a teen female student. My daughter is comprehending her tutoring sessions with the tutor she picked that works best for her comprehension. It is easy to find a tutor with WyzAnt
My past experience in Finding a tutor for my child was always difficult and required talking to many friends that could or could not recommend one. WyzAnt has been a great site to find the right tutor, read the credentials of the teacher and read students' reviews. My child had a great experience so far with her AP physics tutor and i plan to use this site in the future should my child need one for other subjects.
My WyzAnt Experience
So far everything has been wonderful. My German teacher is an ace academic person and with a great personality. I look forward to coming to class and don't dread it. The path through the WyzAnt system is easy so newcomers will be able to take advantage of starting studies anew in life. It is refreshing to really wrack the brain again after all these years with studying!
Helpful Spanish tutor search
There were many tutors that were listed for Spanish tutoring. The price ranged varied extensively. I wanted to learn enough Spanish for good communication on an upcoming mission trip. I chose a tutor that was reasonably priced, she is a student in college. The payment method is wonderful since it is handled through WyzAnt, so I don't have to have a certain amount of cash on hand. This is the first time I have used this resource and is has been a pleasure.
Finding a Good Tutor
I found an excellent tutor and am now making progress in math. It would be nice if tutor scheduling was built into WyzAnt, because that back-and-forth can be a challenge. Overall, my experience with WyzAnt has been good.
Great tutor
Everything was satisfactory to me and my tutor was a big help. I had no problem working out meeting times with him and he was knowledgeable and had suggestions to help me in my writing project.

Very good tutor
Very good tutor. I have no complaints. Thank you for helping my daughter; she wasn't understanding pre calculos and felt helpless. After tutoring she has a better understanding of the subject.
Great Experience
I am very pleased with my experience with Wyzant to date. The ease in finding suitable tutors, opportunity to meet them and the knowledge of the money back policy for the first session is great (though we did not need it!). I especially like the payment options and ease of managing our account and quick and easy access to customer service for any needed assistance. The reporting policy and session reviews are also very helpful. I really can't offer any constructive advice because I haven't had any issues! I have worked with tutoring 'companies' and have not had very good experiences- Wyzant offers me all the benefits without the issues.
Excellent tutoring service!
We considered several tutoring services to prepare our daughter for the SAT and chose WyzAnt. We have been completely satisfied with the whole experience! Great Tutor Search
I needed a tutor to help our ranch foreman improve his reading skills. He is 48 and no one ever took the time to guide him and help him improve. mI Googled "tutors" and WyzAnt popped up. I put in my request and within 24 hours I had 5 people wanting to help our foreman. I chose one and we are so happy with the way she teaches. Our foreman enjoys the lessons and he is rapidly getting better reading skills. We are so thankful for WyzAnt, i would definitely recommend it.
Great Tutor
We were having so many problems with our 9 year old son who has a lot of homework. We were referred by another parent at his school experiencing the same thing. She had been very pleased with Wyzant. We found a tutor close to our home with a flexible schedule. I also found a tutor that was interested in similar things as my son. They really hit it off and now he is on the front door step waiting for him whenever we have sessions scheduled.

Great tutor and helpful customer support
Hi Guys, My grand daughter loves her tutor. She has been very flexible with her schedule, especially since my grand daughter has forgotten her work book twice now. She is very specific and clear regarding what they are working on and what improvements can be made. My grand daughter has already made some improvements within these few weeks. It took me a while to find the tutor but the wait was worth it. When I start to become concerned that I wouldn't find a female tutor, I contacted Wyzant and they immediately made several recommendations. Overall WyzAnt's customer support has been great. It is easy to find tutors. But some tutors do not reply or late to reply my emails or do not call back.

It is a efficient way to find a good tutor help yourself. I highly recommend it. They have qualified the tutors or tested them already, maybe. The tutor is very responsible. But I just have a corporate experience with one tutor, I do not know others.

Great Tutor Search and Selection
WyzAnt has been a very valuable tool for me. I was able to fine a wonderful tutor, Amanda T. for my son. The first tutor that I reached out to did not respond to me. I was amazed how WyzAnt was able to notice that after a couple of days and sent me an email apologizing for the non-response and suggested a couple of other tutors of which Amanda T. was one. It worked out great!
Wonderful tool for finding a qualified tutor
My son was not doing well in Pre-Calculus. As a college-bound senior, it was VERY important for him to keep up his grades. I found WyzAnt through a Google search. It was super easy to find qualified tutors living close to our home. I emailed several tutors and got a great response from all of them. Once the tutor we chose started working with my son, his grades improved dramatically. In fact, he got a 100% on his first quiz after he began meeting with the tutor. The pre-paid aspect of WyzAnt is great too. If I am not home, my husband doesn't have to worry about how much to pay. I would recommend WyzAnt to anyone looking for a tutor!

I am so relieved to find this student service on-line. I was skeptical, but thought I would give this a try after reading reviews from other users. The payment methods are very easy and convenient, no exchanging money and checks at the time of service are necessary. My son's tutor is fantastic! My son was failing before his tutor stepped in to the picture. He is a fantastic tutor who is easy going, knowledgeable, and patient. His ability to explain my son's class/home work has been phenomenal! My son scored high in his End Of Grade tests, and pulled all his graded up to A's and B's! I recommend the use of Wyzant for the quality of the instructors available and the price range. WyzAnt is great. I used it to find a tutor for my son in Organic Chemistry. Of the four tutors who we initially connected with, all were very honest about their abilities and availability. The tutor we ultimately selected worked well with my son, enabling him to "come form behind" and score well on the ACS Organic Chemistry final exam. The detail of the tutor descriptions was very helpful in initial screening, and the care and professionalism of the tutors affiliated with WyzAnt was excellent.

I was very skeptical at first but the quick responses from many tutors was very impressive. The WyzAnt process is set up to protect both student and tutor; it is a safe procedure and I would recommend it to anyone. My tutor made me feel very comfortable when he chose the UNCW campus library for lessons; I think this is important when you are meeting people for the first time. I am impressed with this site. The tutor search and quality available teachers is good. Customer Support was helpful and friendly. Payment easy and appreciate a discount pkg. I have had 4 sessions with my tutor and have also tried another via Skype. I like that I can meet one in person and one on Skype as their teaching styles are different and helpful to my style of learning. I have referred a great tutor to this site because I like it so much. Great tutor selection but some are unresponsive
I finally found a great tutor after searching for 3 months: the first selected was perfect but withdrew due to lack of compliance with background check, then several others were located too far outside of my area; I finally located a tutor that was within my area that would work for me and had the qualifications I was looking for as an adult learner.
Excellent Resource for Tutors
We conducted an online search for a local tutor for refresher courses for career purposes. We found your site, and the website was easy to navigate, which is very helpful to us. Everything we did was simple and efficient. Wyzant's set-up of profiles and bio's of tutors is extremely helpful in determining which one to choose, and it took us not very long to do so. Great company and great tutors
I started using this service about a month ago and so far I have been very impressed with the service and the tutor. At first I was hesitant but I have not had any problems.
