Great source for finding good tutors
I'm new to this sort of search - I was very nervous about looking for an in-home tutor over the net. However, I found that WyzAnt's protections for the prospective student/family and for the tutor are comforting. The background check feature is valuable; I do wish that it had been done automatically as part of the tutor registration process, but I am glad that the feature is available. If the tutor doesn't pass the background check, WyzAnt refunds the cost of running the check to the requester. I highly recommend meeting the prospective tutor at a public library or coffee shop before signing on, to ensure that his/her style and personality matches that of the prospective student. I also like the availability of discounted rates via prepaid packages and that the packages aren't tied to a specific tutor.
Finding a tutor
Came across this site when googling. It was the first one I pulled up and I went with it. We had several good options and chose a tutor whose career field was in the topic area we needed. My daughter is very comfortable with her and she has proven her knowledge in the given area as well as being calm and connecting well.
Great Experience with Wyz Ant
I have had nothing but positive experiences with WyzAnt. Searching for a tutor was easy, Customer Support Reps were friendly and answered all my questions, and my tutors is fantastic. I wish had done this sooner.
Early experience
So far it has been very interesting and useful for both of us. I dare say, if she never has another student and I never have another teacher, it was worth it for both of us. WyzAnt was just the vehicle.
Best Geometry Tutor
Our initial selection for a geometry tutor was not the best fit. WyzAnt sent us a profile of their best tutors within our radius. Our second choice could not have been better, we scored a wonderful geometry tutor!
Most thorough and helpful site for finding a Tutor
I have been very pleased with this service. Katie is a GODSEND! I tried different sites l, but none were as comprehensive in the information provided without charge than Wyzant. Thank you for a great service and exceptional tutor selections. I just wish I could find a good Math/Physics tutor with availability that matches mine.
Great tutor
We have found the service to be great!! We found an excellent tutor, but have decided that our toddler needs just a bit more time before we pursue her language learning. We will use Wyzant again when we are ready to search for a tutor in the future.
Easy to find the Tutor that suits your needs.
I was very happy with the WyzAnt search and selection tool. I needed a tutor that my son would see some similar qualities in that he also has as a way to help him build his self image. It was easy to find someone not too far from where we live that fit the bill. We are very happy with our tutor.

We have had a wonderful experience with Wyzant! We were extremely lucky to find the most awesome tutor! She is wonderful! She is extremely knowledgeable regarding Algebra, She can explain several ways to work a problem, and does it in a way that is easy to understand! Very patient and very personable! Sooo happy to have found her! I love the ease of purchasing credit for our account! Wish I had found this site earlier! Thank you!

Very easy tutor search
I was amazed how quickly I found the WyzAnt site by doing a google search for Algebra tutors in our area. I read a few profiles and contacted my selected tutor. She replied via email within a few hours which was great! I entered my payment info which was very simple and we were able to schedule our first session within a couple of days. The tutor has been coming to our home and is friendly, punctual and a great teacher. I would recommend this valuable resource to my friends without hesitation.
