Very professional help acquired quickly

Great Tutor Search
Finding the right tutor was very easy with Wyzant. The information for each tutor included their location, experience and education. We narrowed are selection by determining who was closest to our home (for scheduling this just makes sense for both us and the tutor) and their individual experience. We heard back from the tutor within a day. She has been wonderful and our son has shown remarkable improvement in his math scores.

Tutor search made easy
It was quite simple to find a tutor. We have had 3 sessions so far, and all is going well. The ability to pay with my American Express card is awesome! I even get membership reward points! Wyzant is a terrific, easy, user-friendly service!
Pretty easy-to-use site
Although private tutoring is pretty expensive, Wyzant makes it easy to find the location, subject, and price range you're looking for. One problem I noticed was that when I searched for organic chemistry tutors a lot of general chemistry tutors came up as well (not what I was looking for). All around it's a pretty good interface but could use some tweaking.

Great Tutor Search and Selection
I found the process of hiring a tutor hassle free and I found a tutor who lives in my neighborhood. She has gone out of her way to find different ways to help my child understand math concepts. She is prepared and on time, I would use her again for my other children.

Great Tutor Search
Hi. I live in New Jersey but my Aunt is in Florida and I needed to find someone to help her learn an IPad. I googled a number of different ways to find people and finally WyzAnt showed up. I wrote to about 4 tutors and was happy to hear from them. We decided to go with one, because he was experienced in helping older people and also knew the IPad. He has been amazing with her. It's a slow process for her but she tells me how patient and kind he is and how much she enjoys the sessions with him. I can't thank WyzAnt enough for having such wonderful people on their site and for all their help. Paying is easy and I always receive an email after her session. Great Tutor Search and Selection
I was a bit nervous at first to use WyzAnt, but when my son was having trouble with a summer class - I was desperate. Helpful customer support
The site is very professional, easy to navigate and gives enough choices. What I like most though, is that there is no payment at the time of the lesson, as it is handled ahead of time (the customer service was friendly and informative in that area.) It is much easier to concentrate on the lesson than have to think about the "money". Also, a review of what is taught is submitted after the lesson and that is very helpful to track one's progression. Overall, a very functional and pleasant experience.
Great service & found the perfect tutor!
After shopping around at several brick & mortar tutoring centers, I stumbled upon this website. I was able to immediately find a tutor to help my daughter in Algebra and we have just been so pleased. She has made the highest scores in her class after barely passing the class last year!

Tutor search
Using Wyzant was very easy. It was our first experience with a tutoring service. We were able to view profiles easily and all the tutors we checked into contacted us promptly. My daughter and I were extremely happy with the tutor we chose. Her personality and teaching style meshed perfectly with my daughter. The tutor went above and beyond and emailed my daughter extra lessons etc. My daughter was able to easily bring up her grade from D to A. I would not hesitate to use Wyzant again and our tutor is outstanding.

Especially the rating system, the yelp-like (and Amazon-like) platform for education, it makes our experience in searching for tutor smooth and confident. I wish I had known your existence earlier. I have tried to go to yelp to find tutors, but they are not specialized in education.

Great Tutor Search and Selection
My experience has been great! I've been fortunate I found a tutor in our area who has strengths in the areas my kids needed. I very much appreciate his flexibility and his willingness to come to our house to work. My child has said he explains the material well and he has a better understanding of the subjects they've been working in. He's well-rounded and is able to help in all areas including those beyond his listed specialties. My only issue was having to give a payment form before agreeing to work with a tutor. I didn't see the notification, but perhaps I should have seen it. In any case, I wasn't excited about giving my credit card before committing to working with someone although I ended up doing it anyway. Overall experience has been great!
Very helpful tutor
I am grateful that I have found a very helpful tutor. It is wonderful that we do not have to worry about the exchange of money and just concentrate on the lessons. I have found a tutor that lives in the same area so never one of us is required to travel far for our lesson.

Love this website. Found a tutor in my area for the subject I needed. It was for my 16 year old daughter who would be meeting with the tutor without me so knowing I could pick one that had a background check done was comforting. I also like that I can pay through the website.
Very easy process
From the time we found Wyzant until the tutor showed up it was a very simple 1,2,3 process. The tutor has been great and the cost is a lot cheaper than the learning centers in our area. Your website is absolutely EXCELLENT; it listed several tutors in close proximity with background information, rates, and areas of expertise, having this information at my fingertips made it easy for me to narrow down my selections and made me more confident in my final selection, as well as knowing you all are thorough enough to do background checks. Good Tutoring Experience
Although we've only had 3 tutoring sessions, these sessions have proven very helpful. Our tutor is a good tutor and always well prepared. She seems to be able to approach math in a way that is best suited to each students needs. We've had a great experience with WyzAnt.

I have found great success in finding a local, experienced, and friendly tutor using WyzAnt. Motoko is really passionate about teaching my nine year old Japanese. They hit it off right away. The payments are very reasonable and very convenient. I always get a receipt and a rating scale for each specific lesson.

Easy to find Tutor
I was skeptical of finding a tutor online without knowing anything about the person, but we have found great success with our tutor from WyzAnt! Our tutor has been knowledgeable and friendly to both me and my daughter. Not only does he know what his biography says he does, he knows more! So far my daughter's homework hasn't stumped him, and he has really helped her catch up and stay up-to-date with homework and other projects. Thanks for the help in finding a great tutor! Only drawback is the account access to find balance and purchase more time with tutor is not as easy as it could be.

Finding a tutor made easy!
WyzAnt made our search for a tutor so much easier than I could have imagined. Within a few days of starting my search I had several emails from prospective tutors. I was able to email and meet my son's tutor within a few days and he was getting the help he needed the next week. Help with advanced math

Search and Selection/Great Tutor
I found searched for WyzAnt on Google and found WyzAnt because I wanted to get help for my daughter who was failing math the first two weeks into school. I used your search tool and found a tutor right away that met my needs. I loved the background check, that made me feel secure since one of the requirements I had was that the tutor be able to come to my home. The tutor has been GREAT! My daughter has already raised her grade from an 18% to a 76% in math and she absolutely loves having lessons with her tutor. Love doing math, did I just say that about MY daughter? I am so glad and thankful for the WyzAnt website locating and finding a tutor made easy with WyzAnt. In the past asking family and friends if they knew someone was getting old because often times you would get help, but not for someone who wanted to help all the time. With the WyzAnt website you find people (retired teachers who are willing to work with your schedule and work with you on a regular basis.) So far I am pleased with the service that I am receiving and would surely recommend WyzAnt to others.

Why didn't I know about this sooner?
Tutoring facilities suck. At least in my experience. When I realized I needed a math tutor, I was SOOOOO irritated at the prospect of wasting my money on some tutor with a rigid teaching method that's going to rob me for all I'm worth. So I went to google and found WyzAnt. Since tutors vary in price it was a lot easier to find something in my budget, and the reviews help me determine if a tutor seems to be what I'm looking for. I was kind of nervous handing over my payment information, but WyzAnt has customer service policies that protect clients from being charged for services they either didn't want or weren't satisfied with. I spent about $100 on tutoring and placed two math levels higher than before, saving me about $400 in unnecessary tuition. THANK YOU WYZANT!
Lots of qualified tutors!
I've used two tutors so far for my son, one for AP calculus and the other for editing college application essays. What I like about using WyzAnt Tutoring is the ease of finding qualified tutors on very short notice. Both tutors emailed me back within few hours of my request and my son received the help he needed. Both tutors were knowledgeable and personable. I like that there is a tutor for every budget and there are plenty of tutors to choose from. I also like that there is no upfront fees or the need to purchase a plan in order to start service, the pay as you go works for me. Great tutor search
So far I am very happy with the tutoring experience and how easy it is to use wyzant. I love being able to look at the tutors' profiles and have tutors contact me. I chose a math tutor I thought would best fit my son's needs but after three sessions I decided to try someone else and actually think the new tutor is a better match for my son. I like how easy it is to try someone else. I also like the "paypal" system and not having to worry about paying the tutor directly.
My Experience with WyzAnt
My experience has been very positive - my husband was the one who signed up for WyzAnt to find a Spanish tutor for me as a birthday gift! We are now living in Miami and my high school/college Spanish has not be used for a very long time. He went through the service to find several choices for local tutors. On my birthday, he gave me the list of eight people he believed were a good fit and then I went in and found the tutor who I thought would be perfect for me. The suggestion of meeting a potential tutor before beginning the process was excellent. We met for coffee and I very quickly knew she was perfect for me. One other plus of WyzAnt, when you have a problem with the site and need help, WyzAnt customer support troubleshoots and responds quickly with a solution. Helpful customer support
I found WyzAnt over google. I am from Germany and I stay in Chatham for holidays, so I wanted to improve my English and I was looking for a teacher. Grace to WyzAnt I found the next day a teacher, who lives in Chatham and worked with me every day. The organization of WyzAnt is perfect, fast ongoing and seems to be very confidence building. Using WyzAnt has been the easiest and smartest decision I could have made for my 7 year old daughters tutoring needs.
