Great Experience
WyzAnt was extremely helpful. I was having a really hard time in my statistics class and my tutor helped turn it around, I went from C's to A's! I emailed a few tutors in my area that fit my needs and I heard back from them all within a few hours. Once I chose a tutor, she was more than happy to work with my time constraints and went above and beyond to make sure I understood the material. Overall this was a great experience that I would recommend to everyone. Thanks WyzAnt!

The importance of tutoring
One on one tutoring is more time and cost effective than classroom courses. Students will still only get out of it to the level that they put into it. They need to be completing the homework given and ask questions. At first it might be uncomfortable for students since they cannot hide their misunderstandings or lack of knowledge when it is obvious to a tutor what they need help in. The student needs to be honest and ask questions so the tutor can get to the root of the problem. If you are not having trouble with a particular topic, then it will be obvious and you can quickly move onto another topic. This cannot happen in a class full of students. Just because a special class costs a whole lot more, does not mean it is better. Many of these classes are taught by the same people that would be tutoring. I am certain I could get hired to teach these classes, but I prefer a method that is better for the student. I am both a tutor with WyzAnt with over 500 hours, as well as the parent of a student who uses WyzAnt tutoring services. I have never heard any complaints from anyone I have met through the entire process. Happy tutoring!
Great Tutor And Helpful Customer Support Reps.
I was in search of an Algebra 1 tutor for my son for the next month to prepare him to re-take the Algebra 1 EOC. I narrowed my search by reviewing the credentials, experience, and subject knowledge of the tutors and whom would be the best match for my son. I felt like I needed a little reassurance on my selection because of the limited amount of time we had to prepare for the exam. I contacted a WyzAnt customer support rep and he was extremely helpful considering I was in a panic to find the right person. He emailed me the names of tutors that best fit the criteria I was looking for. I was so excited that his list included the tutor I was considering and she was at the top of his list too. Her name is Kathryn Valentine. We have had 3 sessions together and still have another 5 more. My son is very happy and making good progress thus far. We are looking forward to a successful tutoring completion as he passes the Algebra EOC at the end of July.
Broad Selection
I liked being able to read about many different tutors in one spot. It made selecting one easier. I was able to email back and forth with the different tutors prior to signing up, and I really liked that as well. I didn't actually have to pay anything until I had chosen a particular tutor and we had agreed on terms, location, etc. The quality and experience of the tutors varies greatly. I ended up selecting someone who is a retired school principal and has a masters in the field in which my son needs help. I am very satisfied.
Great Tutor Search and Selection Site
WyzAnt is terrific. It's easy to navigate and you can choose from many different tutors to meet your child's needs. My son, who hated math at school, now says he wishes he could see his tutor every day! She's wonderful!
Great selection of tutors
We are so happy we found Cindy!!! I was so tired of paying people who were not really helping my children, some of the tutors I had would act so unprofessional and like they didn't want to be here. The tutor I found on WyzAnt (Cindy), is so professional. She comes ready to tutor, with such a positive attitude, and prepared with what she is going to help with. Great & Encouraging Experience
Our daughter is 10 years old, and will be entering 5th grade this school year. She did not grasp what she needed to in math while in 4th grade, therefore we felt she needed some extra help before moving forward. We contacted WyzAnt online, and quickly located a local tutor that we felt would be compatible & helpful with our daughter. We certainly made the correct choice! The tutor has been professional, patient, encouraging, & an excellent teacher. Our daughter really looks forward to, & enjoys the sessions. She is learning!!! Many Tutors To Choose From
When I searched in my area and then sorted by highest reviews, I could pick the writing tutor that looked like the best fit for my teenage son. He needs help with writing strategy, so I found a tutor whose education was a good match. It turned out to be a great decision. The billing is easy and my son is building his confidence this summer with the help of an excellent tutor.
Positive Experience
I appreciated the thorough descriptions for tutors. It made it easy to study their profiles and select one that met our needs. Payment has also been easy. I like that I don't have to pay the tutor directly and that the only discussions we need to have are regarding the lessons he is covering with my children. The tutor is great, and we are happy. Great success finding tutor during summer travel!
Through WyzAnt I was able to find a tutor for my youngest child in the location of a three week sports tournament in which my older children participated. It is a struggle to meet the needs of all the members of a family. This could never been accomplished without the broad network of WyzAnt.
Much easier and better than I expected
I had heard of WyzAnt before and had a general idea of the services they provided, but when I really checked them out I was very impressed. The process of researching and finding a tutor in my area was simple and quick! My email inquiry was answered within minutes and from that first step everything went very smoothly. I had control of when and where to meet, and didn't have to make a commitment up front. It was easy to decide to work with the tutor, however. She was a perfect fit for my son who was struggling with algebra. He has had 3 lessons with her now, and is beginning to look forward to his math sessions. He shows much more enthusiasm in understanding math and making great progress. After seeing his progress, I called customer service to take advantage of the discounts they offer for purchasing blocks of credit. A very helpful person answered right away and took care of it for me immediately. I have loved everything about WyzAnt since I took that first step.

Great Tutor, Smooth Transactions!
It took a little longer than I thought it would to find a tutor and get them approved by my company's benefit plan but once we found the tutor and she started the sessions with our daughter, everything has been going very smoothly.
