A great web site
We found the perfect tutor for our son through WyzAnt. I was happy that they gave information on each person, so we could match up with the right tutor for what he needed. My son and his tutor get along great. Scheduling is flexible and he's gone from an F in Physics to a high B.

I was so happy when I found an organic chemistry tutor through your website. I will definitely recommend this site to others. My tutor was so helpful and knowledgeable it made learning a difficult subject a little easier. The concept she covered were just what I wanted and needed to help me through. WyzAnt to the Rescue
I want to thank you guys for your awesome service. Frankly I'm not from here and was so frustrated trying to find a tutor for my daughter. My husband told me to just do some google searches and see what comes up. I'm not a big computer fan and never google anything but was at my limit that I would do anything. Lo and behold I googled for a tutor in Utah and a bunch of places came up. I looked at two other sites and really couldn't figure out what I was supposed to do (keep in mind I'm not savvy on the web). You guys were like the 2nd/3rd site and as soon as I jumped on I knew I could handle navigating around. You made it so easy and not just that I could look at some of the tutors and read a bit about them and I LOVE that I could see how much they cost. I read about 10 profiles and choose Mikki because she seemed really energetic and was younger and guess what..her price was great. Not one to go on just that I sent an email and invited her to come over..she did a consultation and that was that. We love her and the billing system you guys have is so easy. Thank you so much. This was one more headache off of my plate. My child is flourishing and I'm able to afford her tutoring. I could not ask for me. I have already told friends about your site and my one friend is looking to see if she can afford it. I told her it was well worth it. Thank you.
I was desparate and there WyzAnt was!
My son was struggling with a few subjects in H.S. Being new to H.S., I wanted to get some help right away. I first looked into a national chain, but didn't get the kind of response I was hoping for. I logged into WyzAnt and 2 out of the 4 tutors I asked about wrote me back quickly and were ready to help right away! We love the payment options, too, because with pre-paying for our tutoring services, we were able to get a discount! The website was super easy to navigate through, and the gal we chose has been an excellent match for our son and we plan to share WyzAnt with others! Thank you!
Continues to be an excellent choice
After having 3 different tutors for my son, I was concerned about using a company versus someone we knew. I will never hesitate to use Wyzant or recommend it to a friend. Our tutor as exceeded any expectations. It is very easy to pay online so we don't have to worry about having the right cash. It also lets them go right to work, so it is money well spent. You also save money by buying packages which is also helpful.

College Calculus 1 Tutor
WyzAnt was referred by a friend to help me with College Calculus 1 in which I was having difficulty understanding some of the math concepts. Shannon L. was one of the tutors that I considered among several because of her good reviews and speedy response to e-mail me to schedule a meeting between us. She was very helpful in explaining her goals to help me with my math problems. She also was a good listener to get a better understanding of my situation. She is able to simplify and make math concepts easier to understand.
The Selection of Tutors is FABULOUS
I came across WyzAnt while searching online for a tutor for my son. The process was fast and easy. I was so happy that there were many tutors to choose from, enabling me to find the perfect match for my son's learning style. It was nice to be able to "interview" several tutors before I made a selection. We found a brilliant tutor that has really helped guide my son through improving his writing skills. His tutor was reliable and friendly and definitely qualified. I would recommend WyzAnt to anybody.
Awesome Customer Support Reps!
This site really caters to the average person because the layout is so simple and very easy to navigate. I felt very comfortable and safe in choosing a tutor, because WyzAnt is a very active mediator. I had conversations with several tutors starting out and they were all very helpful and knowledgeable, but not at all pushy. WyzAnt goes the extra mile in providing a safe environment for you by providing a background check button for you to check each tutor personally. That was very important to me – after all, this is my child and my home I’m putting out there. They are very very customer friendly. I had trouble leaving my feedback for my particular tutor so I had to email WyzAnt several times. They were so patient and courteous each time. I simply didn’t see where I was supposed to leave my review, but they were never belittling or curt. I highly recommend this site. Awesome tutors as well.
Wonderful tutor selection
My fiance Bill and I are so impressed with WyzAnt. My stepson Daniel has been struggling with Chemistry and he was getting an E in the class. Neither Bill or I had chemistry in High School and we weren't able to help. I did a tutor search for Brighton, MI and found the WyzAnt website. By the next morning, I received a note from Clark saying that he was interested in tutoring Daniel, if we had not yet found a tutor. We are so happy we contacted Clark. He is AMAZING. He has a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering and is patient, thorough and a wonderful teacher. Daniel has told me that Clark is much "smarter" than his own teacher. Clark sits with Daniel, goes over the problems with him and teaches him how to solve the equations for himself - for example: "The first thing I did was to derive a set of equations from these two formulas to find any quantity from any other. This was done by solving each formula for ?, then equating them. I left this set of equations with Daniel. When asked to solve this type of problem in the future, all he needs to do is look up on the list of equations to find which formula has the desired quantity by itself in terms of the given quantities." Isn't he amazing? We are so happy with Clark, our tutor, and know that Danny's grades will improve dramatically due to his help. Thank you, WyzAnt! We will recommend WyzAnt to all of our friends and co-workers. We love you!
Great Tutor Search and Selection
I had tried to get a Spanish tutor through the high school my son attends with no luck. I went online and googled for tutors which is how I found out about WyzAnt. Immediately after I signed up I got at least 3 emails the first day. I contacted the person closest to me after speaking to him and coming to the conclusion he could help my son. He is now tutoring my son in Spanish once a week and he does a great job with him. I thanked the others for their interest. I am glad I chose WyzAnt to find a tutor.
Great tutoring session
It's very overwhelming trying to find a tutor for your child to help them when they are feeling "under-able" to keep up in school. I was very happy to find WyzAnt and to know that they were researching all of their tutors and that I could feel confident that the tutors on the site would have the necessary skills to help my child understand his school work. I was also very happy to see that the fees were clearly posted and that I would be able to use WyzAnt to handle the interchange of payment. The process felt very "safe" as I first corresponded by email with our chosen tutor before exchanging phone numbers. Once we had scheduled our first session, the tutor was prompt and friendly when he arrived at our home. My son was apprehensive about the need to have a tutor and about what the tutor would actually be able to teach him (which is probably pretty consistent for teenage boys). I was happy to hear him showing signs of excitement as he worked problems with his tutor and learned the steps needed to solve his algebra II problems. After just two sessions, my son was able to obtain a high B on a quiz, having passed only one other graded assignment since school began. He also has gained the sense that he is able to solve the algebraic equations on his own and is now very happy to know that he has another session scheduled so that he can continue to supplement his classroom learning with one-on-one sessions with his tutor. Children all learn in different manners and finding someone who can relate to a teenager, share their knowledge and correct mistakes without making a child feel ashamed or belittled has given me hope that we may survive this year of algebra II. I am envisioning a year of weekly sessions which my son will look forward to and be open to being a full participant in the learning experience. I truly didn't expect such a quick response to just two sessions. Seeing results this quickly is amazing and I am thankful that I decided to take action when I did and that I was lucky enough to find WyzAnt and their vetted tutors. Having the option of prepaying for sessions and receiving a significant discount is a wonderful extra.
Excellent Tutor Service
WyzAnt is a great service for anyone looking for a tutor. You simply input your location and the subjects you need help with and WyzAnt will give you a list of local tutors who specialize in those subjects. The tutor we chose to work with is excellent. She comes organized and ready to work. She does a great job of coordinating with my daughter's classroom teacher so that she is always prepared to work on topics that are being covered in class. The website is easy to navigate and the lesson payment is automatic. WyzAnt takes care of the details, so we can focus on learning!
Awsome tutor and wonderful easy company to work with
WyzAnt has been a wonderful and easy tutoring company to work with. I just set up an account on a credit card and they debit my account once the tutoring session is over. I then receive an electronic report of charges and a chance to rate my tutor. If you are so inclined you can request a background check on you tutor. It's a really savvy company. The tutor we chose for my son is awesome. My son was really struggling in algebra 1. The tutor we choose, Sanjay, is dedicated and encouraging. In the first session my son felt more confident and excited about his math homework and tests. Sanjay has not only showed him the way it's taught in his class but tips and tricks for doing the problems so he recognizes and can set up the problems on his own. I could go on and on. I am so happy and glad I found your company. I give your company a A+ rating and my tutor a A+ rating. Thank you again WyzAnt and Sanjay. You are so appreciated.
Great selection
I love this website.. I am a science major in college and have used this site twice for my science classes I have struggled with. The tutors are knowledgeable and they know how to explain things in many different ways. I will be back for more help as I continue on. My first experience was with Physics and man did I hate that subject. The tutor made it so my math skills were better and he helped me understand the concepts behind the math. Right now I am currently being tutored in chem 2 for college and Its hard there's a lot of math and misusing the formulas was becoming an disaster for me. I found I tutor who was eager to teach me and shes doing a great job at it. I'm not dreading going to class every night and the labs are becoming fun now that I get the concept behind it.
very easy!
I was looking for a chemistry tutor for my college chemistry class. I searched Google several times and contacted people with personal tutoring websites. I came up empty handed every time. I was about to give up when I came across WyzAnt. I was able to find someone close to home who was willing to take on a college course. I found that tutors on other websites were not willing to help at the level I needed. I was able to contact Sally before I had to pay and fill her in on my situation. She replied very promptly and we were able to set up our first session in less than a week. I have been very happy with her help thus far. She is very patient and was able to quickly see where I struggled. I will continue to use Sally and have passed on the WyzAnt site to other students in my class who are needing help. In the beginning I was a little worried about paying up front for the tutoring time since there are so many scams online. Now that everything is set up and going, I really like paying through the website. I don't have to worry about having cash or remembering my checkbook. I simply pay for a few hours and I'm good to go for a few weeks. Overall, I am impressed with WyzAnt and will continue to use Sally for as long as she can handle me. :)

Easiest way to get tutoring help.
This has been the easiest way to get tutoring help for my kids. I have had two different tutors. One for Algebra 2, Pamela P. and one for Chemistry, Anthony B. Both were really great. It has been very simple. My daughter does not have to worry about paying the tutor or forgetting the money. It has been taken care of with our account. It has worked well for us. I will keep using your program.

Great Tutor Search
I am a teacher and I often need to find a tutor for enrichment for my students. Finding tutors through your site is a wonderful experience. You have done all of the work, and when we hire a tutor, I feel like I already know them. Also, their education backgrounds are impressive. Payment is so easy and I appreciate the random coupons that you offer that help defray the cost. The charges are usually fair (some are overpriced) but there is enough of a choice that it is easy to find a tutor in our price range. I intend to use your site for all of my students tutoring needs.
