Local tutors, easy way to pay
Found a great tutor for my daughter in Conejo Valley CA, and it was so easy to pay online, not having to deal with the payment directly to the tutor. The tutor only deals with the teaching, not the payment. Love it!
Gifted Tutor
I feel so blessed to have found a tutor for my daughter through WyzAnt. The process was simple. We interviewed about five tutors before settling on ours. He has been a joy to work with and has made such a difference in my daughter's confidence. She actually looks forward to their sessions!

WyzAnt Feedback and Review
I would recommend WyzAnt to anyone looking for a great tutoring service. I called many companies and WyzAnt was by far the most helpful, easy to find an appropriate tutor, and the price is very fair. Many companies I spoke with were hundreds of dollars more and most wanted all the money up front, but did not have a tutor (comments were that they would have to find one AFTER I paid). Our tutor is perfectly suited for my daughter and is doing a great job!
Trusting Wyzant
I am very pleased with the service and tutor I have through WyzAnt. Prior to signing up with WyzAnt I was considering another company. The company charged more and wanted to obligate me to a certain amount of time. I was not comfortable with that because I felt they do not know my financial circumstances; therefore they don't have the right to tell me how to spend my money. Well I'm thankful for their restrictions because they caused me to seek another company (which was WyzAnt). I'm very pleased with the tutor and their payment procedure. My daughter is gaining more confidence and a pace she can handle.
Tutor Experience
My son had a tutor for Algebra 2 tutoring. I think the tutor is amazing and my son felt so comfortable with him. He also had increased confidence in himself after the tutor and him did the initial 2-1/2 hour tutoring session. I am so impressed that this was the first time I tried a tutoring agency and it turned out so well. I also think that the way you run your business - by simply paying by credit card - it was very easy to do and the tutor was completely accommodating. I will definitely recommend your tutoring business to other parents. It also helps that you have photos and information of each tutor so that a parent can pick their own specifications. Great tutor
Although I was hesitant to commit to a website named Wyzant, I'm glad I was able to pass that. Because we found a great math tutor for our son. They are both committed and our son never complains about math tutoring, his confidence is increasing gradually in this subject. The hours and cost always match perfectly. Great website and great tutor!
This website was so easy to use. I just typed in the area we live in and the subjects my daughter needed help with and it gave me a list of tutors to choose from. I paid with credit card and the tutor showed up the next day. Our tutor is wonderful, and is really making a difference in my daughter's studies.
So Far So Great
We are early in the process, but I was very impressed by the selection and quality of tutors, at least as appears in their resumes. I appreciate that you offer a background check. You have made scheduling and payment very easy. As far as the impact on my daughter's success in math, that remains to be seen, but so far I have found the tutor, Cara, to be very professional, prompt in her summaries of the lessons given, and flexible in scheduling. This is a terrific service, and I will be recommending to others.
WyzAnt -- The Way to Go
In trying to find a tutor for my son in physics was difficult. I then contacted WyzAnt and was given 3 tutors to contact right away. The service and payment options are great. The tutor has been great with the physics topics.
Very helpful in searching for a tutor
I went online searching for a tutor for my daughter. I found WyzAnt and chose to use them for my search, because they have the tutors bios, experience and even pictures for some of them. But, what really made my decision was that they have background checks on file for some of the tutors and for the ones that do not already have one on file, it is very easy to obtain one through them.
Great Tutor
We have been with wyzant for about a month now, and have been very happy with our experience. Very easy to use, find a tutor, etc. Our tutor has been a great asset to our son's schooling. It seems that he just needed some one on one work, and is getting better with each quiz, etc.

Chemistry 1406
I heard of WyzAnt from a good friend who was as concerned as I was about my chem class. He went online to search tutors in Ft Wth, and found WyzAnt! I am so relieved to have come in contact with such an amazing, professional, and highly intelligent "teacher", I like to call him. Frankie is able to explain in a variety of ways how to grasp many different concepts of chemistry! I really like his enthusiasm and passion for chemistry. Frankie has given me an appreciation for chemistry that even I am surprised about. I highly recommend Frankie for everything he has experience in & I recommend WyzAnt to students & parents who want to guarantee their personal or child's success in their studies. So far my experience is great. I was somewhat hesitant, but now that I have started I couldn't be happier with my tutor, the service and the ease of the whole process. I am going to hire another tutor for my 7th grader.
My experience with WyzAnt
I am very happy from my web-search to finding the perfect tutor for my grandson. We feel what we are paying is the best money we have spent on our grandson's future. WyzAnt has made it so easy from finding the best match for our grandson to easy payment.
Your service is good
Finding a tutor on the web was a bit challenging, but not impossible with you. Only two were found in our area. One thing I would like to see is away you can have access to the Schools program and teacher co-operation. I think this would benefit both the Student and tutor.
We found a great tutor through WyzAnt
Some kids won't admit they need help until it's an emergency. Why is that? We needed Pre-cal help and fast. Finals 2 weeks away and teetering on the edge of failing. Stumbled onto WyzAnt on the Internet and thought we would try it since I couldn't find any local college kids renting out their brains (tutoring). Website was easy to navigate. No problem with entering payment info but was unsure of how many sessions would be needed. I ended up putting too much on account. The reviews on the tutors were helpful. Used the first tutor we contacted. He was absolutely wonderful, and with only 3 sessions, had my son back on track and he passed the class. The tutor spoke with my son and me to determine what we needed/wanted to achieve and he customized the teaching to target and concentrate on those important areas. He was also very accommodating regarding the dates and times. This is the only experience I have had with WyzAnt but it was a good experience. I would not hesitate to contact them again if needed (but hopefully not).
Great Experience in General
My daughter desperately needed a tutor to help her dig out from under some missed assignments (due to an overabundance of extracurricular activities) and to prepare for upcoming mid-terms. I found WyzAnt on-line and was impressed with the resumes of many of the tutors available in my area. I exchanged emails with several, and was able to narrow down my search pretty quickly based on availability and rates. The tutor we have hired is so warm and congenial and she can get my daughter to buckle down and think! It has been a great relief to me not to have those daily battles with my daughter over her work completion. The tutor has promptly sent reports about what was accomplished in each session, and the service is quick to check in with me about any questions or concerns I might have. Great experience overall so far. Thank you WyzAnt!

I am so pleased with WyzAnt! I'm learning a lot from my Excel tutor, he's wonderful. The whole process has been amazing to me in a number of areas. First, the initial site is so easy to navigate and find what you're looking for. Next, you are able to communicate briefly one on one with tutors before committing to one. Then, the payment process and review is perfect. Wyzant takes what I thought would be a daunting project into seamless selection and action. It allows me to get to learning- quicker. I love this site. It is great to be able to see picture of tutors and learn about their interests and their background in the subject. I think the payment method is great too. I don't have to deal with any money exchange with the tutor because it is all done through WyzAnt. I have told two friends about WyzAnt as well. WyzAnt is a terrific concept. Information for those tutors who do not have a picture: While a picture doesn't tell much about a person, I would not hire an unknown tutor for my child without seeing a picture first.

Great Tutor and Easy Selection Process
My daughter absolutely loves working with her tutor, Lori, on her SAT prep. Lori has helped her content knowledge, test taking ability, and confidence. After just four hours of tutoring my daughter is finishing practice tests before the allotted time and is able to go back and check her answers. We are anticipating significant improvements in her scores. The process of selecting a tutor was easy. The starred rating system was a big help in making our selection. The testimonials were even more helpful.
Easy, even for a novice
Getting my 1st computer at 67 years old hasn't exactly given me a head-start, yet I'm now very satisfied with my tutor. He is extremely patient with my lack of knowledge, and though while DURING any particular session it all seems foggy to me, afterwards, with his notes as a guide, I've discovered that I'm now doing many things that I'd only WISHED that I could do, previously. Great for tutor
I'm a parent; got my son a tutor to help him ....and this was a pretty flexible system; that is, he just needed someone to help guide him and the person was very flexible in drifting away from her specialty into helping him on a more general purpose approach. I applaud the flexibility of the system and the tutor.

It was very difficult to find a tutor for my son's higher level math class (AP calculus). WyzAnt was a great source of tutors. The tutor has always been on time, fully prepared, and contacts us immediately when we email him. After each lesson, he sends a summary of the lesson. I have been very impressed.

Great Tutor
After my daughter's tutor studied with her for one test in advanced biology she received an 89% on the cardiovascular system. Her teacher emailed me her score, and told me how much more confident my daughter was during exam time. My daughter also received one of the highest scores in the class for this test. My daughter connects with her tutor and they have a lot of fun studying together. WyzAnt has changed my daughter's attitude about studying, and this has proven to her that she is a very smart young lady.

My daughter and I had our consultation today and I must say when I first found this website I was really leery. The response to my first inquiry was, much to my satisfaction, very prompt. It was nice that I received a few responses so I was able to choose which tutor I felt best suited my daughter. After deciding to go with Linda S. I was extremely pleased with how fast she responded back and how courteous and professional she is. After meeting with her tonight I feel we've made the right decision with choosing her. She was on time and not only was she informative she is very pleasant which makes this whole process easier. Since this was only our consultation I will write again to give more input. But so far I am very pleased and happy that I found this website.

The Wyzant system is easy to use. Finding a tutor through its search engine is straight forward and informative. They follow up immediately after the first session to assure satisfaction. Payment by credit card makes it simple and charges are reported in a timely manner. The tutor provides a report on each session. She was exactly as she presented herself in her ad and gave my daughter just what she needed to prepare for her half year algebra assessment - scoring a 97 percent. I will continue to use WyzAnt.
It's Working!
What a difference Megan has made! My son's first quiz score this semester was very low. The second quiz after 2 weeks with his tutor... an 87%! He is gaining confidence and the extra exposure to listening the Spanish has increased his ability to understand the auditory parts of the quiz. WyzAnt is a Wyz Decision!

WyzAnt is a great source for finding tutors. I have used the site to find tutors for multiple subjects, and have not been disappointed yet. In most cases there are tutors right in your area that are willing to come to you. The ability to see what other students thought of particular tutors before making a choice is extremely helpful; it made the process extremely easy, and satisfying. I would recommend this website to anyone looking to increase their knowledge of a specific material, or to improve their grade. I am an engineering student who went from B's and C's to straight A's. I highly recommend this website.

This is the first time I used WyzAnt. I came across your service on Google. It has been fabulous! Everything is clear and simple and fast! What's greatest is that I go to school in NJ, but I was home for the winter break for Dec/Jan timeframe and needed to find a tutor for my GMAT preparation. I started off with someone local in Orange County, CA, but ended up with a tutor in NJ. You can web cam the lessons. It is so convenient to use. I needed help figuring out how much the discounted lessons would cost, etc. WyzAnt customer service was able to assist immediately. I will definitely recommend WyzAnt to my peers and my sister even! I was looking for a tutor locally and came upon your website. I found a tutor in the area and after doing the background check on her, we were able to communicate and start the lessons. Your website was user friendly and made it easy to contact the teacher. WyzAnt had several options for payment plans so you could choose which one worked for you financially. Another nice feature, you can read the reviews from the teacher about each lesson, and you can rate how you felt the tutor did and how the lessons went. Am So Happy I Found Wyzant
I had been trying to find a private tutor for my son for quite a while but was not having good luck. I decided to google "tutors" one more time and that is when I found Wyzant. We have only been working with Wyzant for a few months but the entire experience has been great! My son and I reviewed the list of tutors that came up in our search. He really wanted to work with a man so we chose two young men to email. We received our first response back within 12 hours and had an introductory meeting with him three days later. The next week, my son stating his tutoring sessions. The tutor is exactly the type of person we were looking for. He has been wonderful. My son felt very comfortable with him immediately. It didn't take for my son trust and respect him and now he looks forward to seeing him on Tuesdays and Thursdays. With respect to the company, I am so thankful to have stumbled upon Wyzant. It is a safe, professional, personable way to find a tutor. I like the follow-up summaries that are given after each session with a synopsis of what was studied and how my son did with the lesson. I am also pleased with the fee that I am charged and the payment arrangements. I also appreciate all of the other tutors who reached out to us after we submitted our initial request. Excellent Latin Tutor for my son
We have had a Latin tutor for my son now for several weeks and are pleased. She is knowledgeable, personable, reliable and my son likes working with her. Got it right- first time with the first tutor we tried out of an attractive pool of 4 from which we selected. What more can I ask?
Tutors easy to locate and contact
I hired 2. One for math, the other for English. It is working out great. My son chose them so it has made the whole experience much better for him.
