Found the Perfect Tutor
I couldn't be happier with the tutor I found on WyzAnt. I actually just "googled" math tutors in my town and the WyzAnt link came up. I had never heard of WyzAnt. I loved the way I could search for tutors based on location and subject. Each tutor had a short biography which was extremely helpful - along with a picture!! There were also reviews from current and prior students. I was able to use all of the information to find a tutor that would be a good fit for my son.
Finding a good fit
I used WyzAnt to find a tutor for my High School Junior who needed assistance in Chemistry but also help in getting prepared to take the SAT. Looking thru the list I was able to find a local tutor with those qualifications and was able to get them together right away.
Overall Satisfaction
I am pleased thus far. The tutor is excellent, and my son is making good progress. I do not have any issues with billing. Overall, we are pleased.

So far, I have been very pleased with your service and especially with my new tutor Karin. She is wonderful and we are happy to have found her. She is very patient, works with my grandchild to use approaches that work for her. I haven't had to use the customer support for any reason so I can't comment on that, and as far as the payment for lessons, that seems to be working out O.K.

Helpful customer support - fantastic tutor.
I recently had a problem contacting tutor which customer support quickly helped out with. My daughter and I are very pleased with her tutor - helping with Math. "She is so clever and explains everything in a much clearer way than my teacher or you mummy!"(from my 12 year old 7th grade student) So far my 7th grade girl (who is very bright but needs more time than school gives on math) always ends a math session feeling that the problem pre algebra items she couldn't grasp are actually 'so easy really' when her tutor has gone through them. Her tutor is also very patient and friendly and my daughter enjoys her visits.

Easy to find local tutors.

We have been extremely satisfied, so far, with our experience with WyzAnt. We were hesitant at first, to use an online service to find a tutor for our child due to the unfortunate reality that the web can be a dangerous place. Our fears were quickly put to rest after our review of WyzAnt's services such as background checks, payment reviews before charging, and very descriptive listings of each tutor. We found a "perfect" match for our child easily and she is actually excited to meet with her tutor on a weekly basis. Unbelievably, after the first session, where she was tutored on proper note taking, she scored much higher than pre-tutor! It really is a spectacular service. We were new to the area and had no idea how to get our child some help with her academics. We found WyzAnt. Thank goodness!

She is a great person, very positive and patient with my son, who can be a handful sometimes. She is right to the point, by presenting the material for my son to learn in a very fun way. Many tutor options
I was just googling for tutors and came on the site. In the beginning I did not realize the amount of info that was available for each tutor and just started emailing people at random and then I got the hang of it and was able to screen more carefully. Did receive a number of emails of interested tutors.

Tutor is knowledgeable.
We only had one tutor respond to our request for an analysis tutor, but we have been very pleased with the tutoring sessions. My daughter's tutor is polite and knowledgeable about the subject. Payment through the site is very easy with Paypal. We have been glad to use the service.

Great Tutor
Needed a tutor for Chemistry and didn't know where to turn. Found WyzAnt, contacted some tutors and found a great tutor for my son. She is very kind, patient and is able to explain Chemistry to my son in a way he can truly understand. So thankful for this service.
Highly Recommend WyzAnt
I was 100% discouraged regarding taking statics at the graduate level. It was a 3 hour weekly class and the professor was moving pretty fast through the formulas. After receiving an F on my first exam I wanted to give up. There was only one tutor assigned to the statistic course and the schedule conflicted with my other courses and work schedule. As I was on the verge of giving up, my boyfriend suggested I hire a tutor and he simply did a Google search. He suggested I consider WyzAnt. I was skeptical at first. However, I passed that course and now I have moved on to the next and final course of statistics thanks to a lot of prayer and my tutor. I have recommend my tutor to others and I feel she is great. I'm so happy I did not give up! ***and I'm happy there are no contracts....you pay as you go.

Wyzant easy for tutor search and selection
Wow! I started this process about a month ago. The tutors we quick to respond to my requests/needs for a tutor. We have found a great tutor, and my son is happy with all the new techniques he is teaching him. I'm soooo glad that I found this site, too bad it wasn't sooner. Even though it has only been three tutoring sessions, I can see the difference in my son,he more confident(geometry&spanish). I have already forwarded WyzAnts info to a couple of friends! You won't be disappointed!

Local tutors, easy way to pay
Found a great tutor for my daughter in Conejo Valley CA, and it was so easy to pay online, not having to deal with the payment directly to the tutor. The tutor only deals with the teaching, not the payment. Love it!

I feel so blessed to have found a tutor for my daughter through WyzAnt. The process was simple. We interviewed about five tutors before settling on ours. He has been a joy to work with and has made such a difference in my daughter's confidence. She actually looks forward to their sessions!

I would recommend WyzAnt to anyone looking for a great tutoring service. I called many companies and WyzAnt was by far the most helpful, easy to find an appropriate tutor, and the price is very fair. Many companies I spoke with were hundreds of dollars more and most wanted all the money up front, but did not have a tutor (comments were that they would have to find one AFTER I paid). Our tutor is perfectly suited for my daughter and is doing a great job!
Trusting Wyzant
I am very pleased with the service and tutor I have through WyzAnt. Prior to signing up with WyzAnt I was considering another company. The company charged more and wanted to obligate me to a certain amount of time. I was not comfortable with that because I felt they do not know my financial circumstances; therefore they don't have the right to tell me how to spend my money. Well I'm thankful for their restrictions because they caused me to seek another company (which was WyzAnt). I'm very pleased with the tutor and their payment procedure. My daughter is gaining more confidence and a pace she can handle.
Tutor Experience
My son had a tutor for Algebra 2 tutoring. I think the tutor is amazing and my son felt so comfortable with him. He also had increased confidence in himself after the tutor and him did the initial 2-1/2 hour tutoring session. I am so impressed that this was the first time I tried a tutoring agency and it turned out so well. I also think that the way you run your business - by simply paying by credit card - it was very easy to do and the tutor was completely accommodating. I will definitely recommend your tutoring business to other parents. It also helps that you have photos and information of each tutor so that a parent can pick their own specifications. Although I was hesitant to commit to a website named Wyzant, I'm glad I was able to pass that. Because we found a great math tutor for our son. They are both committed and our son never complains about math tutoring, his confidence is increasing gradually in this subject. The hours and cost always match perfectly. Great website and great tutor!
This website was so easy to use. I just typed in the area we live in and the subjects my daughter needed help with and it gave me a list of tutors to choose from. I paid with credit card and the tutor showed up the next day. Our tutor is wonderful, and is really making a difference in my daughter's studies.
So Far So Great
We are early in the process, but I was very impressed by the selection and quality of tutors, at least as appears in their resumes. I appreciate that you offer a background check. You have made scheduling and payment very easy. As far as the impact on my daughter's success in math, that remains to be seen, but so far I have found the tutor, Cara, to be very professional, prompt in her summaries of the lessons given, and flexible in scheduling. This is a terrific service, and I will be recommending to others.
WyzAnt -- The Way to Go
In trying to find a tutor for my son in physics was difficult. I then contacted WyzAnt and was given 3 tutors to contact right away. The service and payment options are great. The tutor has been great with the physics topics.
Very helpful in searching for a tutor
I went online searching for a tutor for my daughter. I found WyzAnt and chose to use them for my search, because they have the tutors bios, experience and even pictures for some of them. But, what really made my decision was that they have background checks on file for some of the tutors and for the ones that do not already have one on file, it is very easy to obtain one through them.
Great Tutor
We have been with wyzant for about a month now, and have been very happy with our experience. Very easy to use, find a tutor, etc. Our tutor has been a great asset to our son's schooling. It seems that he just needed some one on one work, and is getting better with each quiz, etc.

I heard of WyzAnt from a good friend who was as concerned as I was about my chem class. He went online to search tutors in Ft Wth, and found WyzAnt! I am so relieved to have come in contact with such an amazing, professional, and highly intelligent "teacher", I like to call him. Frankie is able to explain in a variety of ways how to grasp many different concepts of chemistry! I really like his enthusiasm and passion for chemistry. Frankie has given me an appreciation for chemistry that even I am surprised about. I highly recommend Frankie for everything he has experience in & I recommend WyzAnt to students & parents who want to guarantee their personal or child's success in their studies. So far my experience is great. I was somewhat hesitant, but now that I have started I couldn't be happier with my tutor, the service and the ease of the whole process. I am going to hire another tutor for my 7th grader.
My experience with WyzAnt
I am very happy from my web-search to finding the perfect tutor for my grandson. We feel what we are paying is the best money we have spent on our grandson's future. WyzAnt has made it so easy from finding the best match for our grandson to easy payment.
Your service is good
Finding a tutor on the web was a bit challenging, but not impossible with you. Only two were found in our area. One thing I would like to see is away you can have access to the Schools program and teacher co-operation. I think this would benefit both the Student and tutor.
We found a great tutor through WyzAnt
Some kids won't admit they need help until it's an emergency. Why is that? We needed Pre-cal help and fast. Finals 2 weeks away and teetering on the edge of failing. Stumbled onto WyzAnt on the Internet and thought we would try it since I couldn't find any local college kids renting out their brains (tutoring). Website was easy to navigate. No problem with entering payment info but was unsure of how many sessions would be needed. I ended up putting too much on account. The reviews on the tutors were helpful. Used the first tutor we contacted. He was absolutely wonderful, and with only 3 sessions, had my son back on track and he passed the class. The tutor spoke with my son and me to determine what we needed/wanted to achieve and he customized the teaching to target and concentrate on those important areas. He was also very accommodating regarding the dates and times. This is the only experience I have had with WyzAnt but it was a good experience. I would not hesitate to contact them again if needed (but hopefully not).
Great Experience in General
My daughter desperately needed a tutor to help her dig out from under some missed assignments (due to an overabundance of extracurricular activities) and to prepare for upcoming mid-terms. I found WyzAnt on-line and was impressed with the resumes of many of the tutors available in my area. I exchanged emails with several, and was able to narrow down my search pretty quickly based on availability and rates. The tutor we have hired is so warm and congenial and she can get my daughter to buckle down and think! It has been a great relief to me not to have those daily battles with my daughter over her work completion. The tutor has promptly sent reports about what was accomplished in each session, and the service is quick to check in with me about any questions or concerns I might have. I am so pleased with WyzAnt! I'm learning a lot from my Excel tutor, he's wonderful. The whole process has been amazing to me in a number of areas. First, the initial site is so easy to navigate and find what you're looking for. Next, you are able to communicate briefly one on one with tutors before committing to one. Then, the payment process and review is perfect. Wyzant takes what I thought would be a daunting project into seamless selection and action. It allows me to get to learning- quicker. I love this site. It is great to be able to see picture of tutors and learn about their interests and their background in the subject. I think the payment method is great too. I don't have to deal with any money exchange with the tutor because it is all done through WyzAnt. I have told two friends about WyzAnt as well. WyzAnt is a terrific concept. Information for those tutors who do not have a picture: While a picture doesn't tell much about a person, I would not hire an unknown tutor for my child without seeing a picture first.

Great Tutor and Easy Selection Process
My daughter absolutely loves working with her tutor, Lori, on her SAT prep. Lori has helped her content knowledge, test taking ability, and confidence. After just four hours of tutoring my daughter is finishing practice tests before the allotted time and is able to go back and check her answers. We are anticipating significant improvements in her scores. The process of selecting a tutor was easy. The starred rating system was a big help in making our selection. The testimonials were even more helpful.
Easy, even for a novice
Getting my 1st computer at 67 years old hasn't exactly given me a head-start, yet I'm now very satisfied with my tutor. He is extremely patient with my lack of knowledge, and though while DURING any particular session it all seems foggy to me, afterwards, with his notes as a guide, I've discovered that I'm now doing many things that I'd only WISHED that I could do, previously.
