Amazing resource!
I have never used a tutor before but found myself needing one for an online course. Once I found the wyzant website, everything was easy and convenient... I found a tutor with a PhD in the subject matter I was studying and she was within a mile from my house! I couldn't be more happy with my experiences with wyzant!
Good web site, great tutor
This is a very useful web site. I needed help with my Algebra, so I found this web site, and I am glad I did. I have a great tutor. He is very helpful and he lives close enough so he can be here within minutes. Your web site is user friendly and very informative.
Great Tutor
My daughter has had three sessions now with her tutor to help her pass a high school biology class that she was failing - last test grade was an 85% - thanks to the different teaching techniques her tutor shared. Very happy with how things are going.

Wonderful Tutor
WyzAnt made it easy for me to choose a tutor that was close to my home and matched my needs. My tutor is a wonderful. Her wealth of knowledge on chemistry is absolutely beneficial to me, since I have none! She is kind and resourceful when explaining principles and formulas too. Payment is easy! I expected to hand my tutor a check on the first session, but I realized that I can add credit to my account! I never have to think of handing a check over, it's really convenient.

I thought that the WyzAnt folks did a great job of staying in touch with me. They monitored my contacts with prospective tutors and followed up with them if the tutors did not respond to my inquiries within the specified time. I received a telephone call after my first session with my tutor to see if I had any questions or concerns. After each lesson, I received a summary of what we had covered in the lesson and a request for me to give the lesson a rating. I did have one concern with one of the tutors, which may have been miscommunication between me and the tutor, but WyzAnt resolved the situation quickly when I brought it to their attention. At the end of my tutoring, I had a balance remaining on my account, and they arranged for a refund without delay. I would not hesitate to recommend WyzAnt's service.

This is a great resource!!! My son really enjoys the tutoring and does not complain that he has to go. Our tutor makes math easy for him to understand. I look forward to see how the summer tutoring helps him in math in high school. Don't Waste Your Time Searching Anywhere Else For Tutors!
Having never tried to find a tutor, we obtained a business card in the classroom of the college for my daughter. The price to be charged was very expensive, and we were worried about the communication skills of the tutor, so we kept looking. We used another "local" website and waited days and days and never got responses. We put an inquiry into WyzAnt and within minutes, were contacted by one tutor. Within 24 hours, we had almost 10 responses. We are so pleased with the quality and quantity of the tutors, the flexibility of price ranges, and the willingness of the tutors to help the student to achieve success. If one tutor does not "fit", try another and another if needed. They are out there and WyzAnt has the best of the best. Thank you.
Very Satisfied with WyzAnt
WyzAnt has made the search for a good tutor super easy. There are plenty of tutors to choose from and each tutor has a detailed profile to help you make a selection. My son's tutor responds promptly to emails and is very experienced. Payment is super easy online and the online account lists out clearly the date and fee for each lesson. Moreover, tutors leave a brief message about what has been covered in each session so parents can be informed. Love WyzAnt, excellent service.

This was the second online site I tried. The tutors from the first site never responded to my inquires. Once I completed my request I was contacted the next day and my niece was meeting with her tutor that week. She had 4 sessions that really helped. I would recommend this service and will use it again if needed!
Great Tutor Search and Selection
I am very pleased to have found WyzAnt because my daughter needed that one on one help on her algebra II and finding out that I could see a picture of the person I wanted to pick made us felt more comfortable. Her classes have been rewarding because she has improved and understands math better. And as far as paying for the the classes and keeping track of how many hours are left and knowing that whatever unused hours will be refunded it is great! Exceeded My Expectations
I needed help with Algebra in order to apply for a new position. I sent a request for a tutor skilled in Algebra, received a couple of replies and choose one based on his qualifications and his willingness to start tutoring me immediately. I only had a couple of weeks preparation time before the placement test and with his tutoring I am pleased to say I passed the test. I would highly recommend my tutor and WyzAnt.

Great Tutor Search and Selection
My experience with WyAnt has been very favorable. From the initial contact with the company until now (weekly updates), I have been treated in a very professional manner. The customer support representative that I interacted with was very knowledgeable and patient with my many questions. The tutor that I selected is excellent at her job! Beth B. has been a joy to work with and my grandson thinks that she is "cool". She is very knowledgeable and flexible. While I have only been a customer for a couple of weeks, I interacted via the company's website initially for weeks before I made the decision to go with Wyzant. I am not disappointed with my choice!
Great wyzant experience.
I'm the mother of a 14 yr old 8th grader that wasn't having much luck with the math teacher she had this year. She's normally an A-B student and finished Algebra with a D this year. After 1 week of working with her tutor she's half way through the algebra workbook and she's got a way better understanding. I think she'll be able to start learning Geometry before the summer is over. Finding a tutor was easy and wyzant has thought of every possible way to make using a tutor through them easy and SAFE! I feel very secure with every aspect of the help they've given and I would recommend anyone looking for a tutor to use wyzant to find them.
What an Experience
I was in need of a tutor and had no clue where to go. WyzAnt provided a simple way to gain access to the best! The tutor that I selected, Brian, was a BRAIN! He was always on time, committed and very patient. Because of his professionalism and attention to details, he was able to provide me with what I needed in order to pass my class. I gained a lot of knowledge and would certainly recommend WyzAnt to anyone who is struggling. It is worth it!

I am very satisfied with WyzAnt services for a math tutor, at first it was a little rocky. WyzAnt assured me that things would workout. They assisted with finding a math tutor and a reasonable price because I am on a tight budget after losing my house to foreclosure and returning to school. WyzAnt customer service is excellent with great interpersonal skills to help you get to where you want to be in your academics.

Tutor Search
I am impressed with Wyzant and the ease of finding a tutor. I really love the fact that you can see the picture of the tutor and what their areas of strength are with academics. I needed a tutor that was strong in trigonometry, calculus and statistics. I called a few and a few of them did call me. The prices are fairly reasonable. I really enjoy the fact that you make the student "rate" the tutor and the lesson. The tutor and the student should see how many hours of tutoring they're doing and their rating. It keeps the tutor humble and the "tutee" aware of their work. There was an ease of payment for lessons and I really enjoy the idea that the first lesson can be refundable, if not happy with the services. Customer service support was friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, I'm very impressed with Wyzant and would recommend you.

I was able to locate an excellent tutor near my area and, even though other tutors that were recommended did not work out, all were well-qualified, responsive to my needs and those of my son. Wonderful experience!
Wyzant was a wonderful way for me to find a tutor for my daughter. Her tutor is absolutely wonderful and my daughter actually enjoys her visits. She is only 8 but i don't know any kid that wants to think about schoolwork in the summer - however Mrs. E makes it fun and again my daughter looks forward to her sessions!
Fantastic Range of Tutors
I am going onto my 4th session with my tutor now for a Pyschology Statistics Class. I am absolutely amazed by how great this tutoring service works and the tutors hired. I immediately received 3 replies from tutors in my area who all had statistics as a subject they taught. The tutor I selected has been so incredibly helpful over the last 5 hours spent together and I'm sure over the next few weeks. Would Definitely Recommend
We were skeptical of finding a tutor for advanced accounting over the internet. I like the process of reviewing available tutors to determine which one would suit me best. The tutor I decided on has been amazing! She has worked with me to understand the material to help prepare me for my mid-term. I'm going to continue meeting with her once a week to make sure I stay on top of it. I would definitely recommend WyzAnt.
Great Tutor for Dissertation Students
I have been with Jeff for several weeks now and he is very good with following your plan, explanations and patience. He works at your speed and he teaches you along the way. I hardly ever write reviews, but WyzAnt was totally worth it. This was the easiest thing I've ever put together for my kid. I just typed in the category and I was able to find tons of tutors right at my fingertips. I found one who looked great (was WAY overqualified) and who responded within an hour and was tutoring my child by that night. The payment system is beyond easy and takes all the guesswork out of it. And I absolutely loved that the tutor gives a review of the session afterwards. All in all, it was an excellent resource and I'll be returning and telling my friends about it. Bravo!

I have only used Wyzant to find a Russian language tutor. However, she is an excellent tutor, and Wyzant seems to me to be a valuable, well run service that's helpful both to the tutors and to the students.

I posted that I was looking for a tutor for my daughter for Chemistry and received responses from 5 different potential tutors. I liked that there are pictures available and that I can read about each tutor, see how they write, and read what they wrote about themselves in their background page. This is really what helped me choose the tutor for my daughter. I had questions about the discounted lessons before signing up so I contacted the toll free number and was helped by a really nice gentleman who answered all of my questions. So far I have been very happy with Wyzant and the best part is that my daughter really loves her tutor.

My experience about WyzAnt is excellent!!!! I was searching for an English tutor, Google search engine lead me to this website. The entire system of the website is built on a very evident way therefore it's very easy to use. Setting up an account is as simple as breathing. I've found the credit system a great idea since like this way you don't even have to deal with about the financial part with your tutor therefore the whole time of each lesson is there for studying. Reading the tutor's profile is giving you an excellent overview of each person, through the initial emails you can set up interviews with them and choose the right teacher for your needs. So far I think I've found the best English tutor in Renate and I am absolutely happy with my choice, 110% satisfied with her teaching techniques, her ability to attention to details and her personality!!! Make it short, WyzAnt deserves 5 star and so as Renate got 5 star from me!!!!

Tutor Profiles are Very Helpful
I have only been a WyzAnt customer for a couple of weeks and am extremely happy with the service! My daughter was out of school for three months due to an illness and has to make up a huge amount of work in a short time frame. I was panicking since I had to find a few tutors in a relatively short amount of time so she could get the help she needed right away. The school was unable to provide suitable tutors during the summer months. I found WyzAnt while searching the internet. One of the main reasons I choose WyzAnt because it was so easy to search for and screen possible tutors in my area. I was able to review their profiles to learn more about the person who might be spending a lot of time with my child. The well detailed profiles also helped me to determine who will fit in my budget, who had background checks and if references were available. Customer ratings were also huge factors that affected my decision to hire. Once tutors were selected, I was even more satisfied. I now receive summaries via email immediately following each completed session as well as confirmation emails for scheduled lessons. This is an added bonus for me since I work full time, and the emails help me maintain my daughter's schedule much easier. I just passed along the WyzAnt website to the Vice Principal of my daughter's High School. Thank you for helping me find qualified tutors!

My experience has been very positive using Wyzant. Very soon after I began my search for a tutor, I received e-mails from perspective tutors offering their services. I made my selection based primarily on how closely I was located to the person. All candidates that contacted me seemed to be well-qualified and would have been acceptable. My tutor seems a very nice person in addition to being a very good tutor. He is prompt and puts thought into the lessons that he makes relevant to what situations I will encounter in my travels. He offers insider advice for my trip to Germany since he has spent time there. I am very please with what we have accomplished so far and excited about what we will cover before I leave for Europe.

Overall, it was a very good experience. I felt a little unsure at first because I could not verbally contact the tutor before payment, and although, I understand why you set it up that way, I was still worried about a scam. I had never heard of your company before, but we were a little desperate for a specific type of tutor, so we felt willing to take the risk. Jennifer was great!! And my son more than doubled his test score on the ASVAB, and is now a proud member of the US Navy. Although, a little expensive, it was worth it!

I found WyzAnt when searching the web for a tutor. I had never used tutor services before so I was starting from scratch. When a credit card was required to contact the tutor of interest I was alarmed. After researching the internet to ensure WyzAnt wasn't a scam program I entered the requested information. Best decision ever!!! The tutor I contacted responded immediately. She was professional and eager to help my son. I was stressing over finding a Latin tutor this summer, and I was going to go back to a previous tutoring organization, but they were charging a lot of money. So I just Googled Latin tutors and your website came up. Clicked on it, decided to give it a go. The Latin tutor that I came into touch with is very knowledgeable and a great teacher. So I thank wyzant, great job, keep it up, it was simple and easy.

I am very pleased with the WyzAnt tutor search process. I like the reliability of searching through tutors who have been vetted. It's much more reassuring since the tutors come to our home. I also like the ability to pay on line and not have to worry about payment. I appreciate the ability to get a discount by paying for more sessions at once. I found the tutor for my son within a week and he has been great. I ended up choosing a more expensive tutor but he is getting great results, so the additional cost is worth it to me.
