Great help for tutor finding.
I am so thankful that I found this website. It is so helpful to find a great tutor in my area that is responsible and very helpful. Customer service is really great too -- when I called to see how to change a tutor they helped and walked me right through the process. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for tutoring help for themselves or children.

Easy to use and great tutors
The service is easy to use and there are plenty of tutors to choose from. My tutor is excellent! I like that I can select from many qualified tutor and they can be background checked. I found a wonderful tutor who my son really likes. She is lighthearted and covers the topics we need. She also provides wonderful feedback on each session. This is especially important since she tutors him at his after school program.

Using Wyzant was a piece of cake!
I had a very unusual request to find a tutor for 4 children of an Executive of ours from Sweden who was bringing his extended family over for two weeks this summer. The entire process of searching for and working with a tutor to undertake this was very easy through Wyzant. Each time I spoke with your Customer Service I was always impressed with their above and beyond attitude. I would certainly use your services again in the future and recommend it to others.
Great tutor and way of finding one.
I was looking for a computer instructor and of course looked at the web to find that mostly there were courses which I enrolled in the local college. I was immediately doubting the efficacy though not necessarily the quality of the instruction I was going to get at the first class at the college. Not so when I discovered Wyzant. First of all I was wanting the individualized care I received from Wyzant. I liked that I could choose the instructor with the very relevant aspects of how far they would be and flexibility involved in the timing of the lessons, i.e. more hours in one meeting, and days we could meet as opposed to a school. Also one would not be stuck with an unsuitable instructor for whatever reason. In a school it is that instructor that they assign and that is that. I like the feature that one can pay by credit card to the company. With another type of service I would have to pay the instructor if I got one privately on the spot and not pay over time should I need to do so and that is the advantage of paying with a credit card as we all know. I am very happy with my instructor from day one and would recommend this company for any of the tutoring needed. I see that there is a myriad of instruction one can get through Wyzant. Kudos!
Thank Goodness for WyzAnt!!
I've tried in the past to find tutors through the local colleges, newspapers, friend referrals and have never had luck finding a tutor. Getting someone to return your call was nearly impossible and then when you did find a student to help, it was only for a short time before they moved on to other activities dropping their tutoring jobs. My husband found WyzAnt and signed us up. That day we had Tutors contacting us. We found a WONDERFUL Tutor that started the very next day. My son is now getting all the help he needs and is finally getting a handle on his Trigonometry class. We will be staying with WyzAnt for all of our future tutoring needs!
Very satisfied with results
I was looking for a tutor to prepare for the math portion of the GED exam. I tried WyzAnt without knowing anything about them. Once the appropriate information was submitted I received 6-8 email responses from potential tutors and was able to have them provide information regarding their experience. Several were eliminated because they were more focused on languages and social sciences. The person I chose is excellent. He is patient, prompt, flexible, and his instructions are clear. Rates are reasonable and billing (credit card/paypal) is efficient as well.
Great tutor search
I found WyzAnt surfing the internet and I'm glad I did. My daughter who is special needs (autistic) likes her tutor. The tutor explains everything to me that she went over with my daughter. She is always professional, polite and always on time for her session.
Tutoring Services
My experiences with my tutor and the WyzAnt organization were excellent. My tutor did a good job of breaking the problems into small parts and explaining those parts.
Three tutors all 5 stars
This is the third time I have used WyzAnt to support my daughter's education. During her senior year in high school my daughter was taking an AP Chemistry class with a teacher that was not qualified to teach the course. Using WyzAnt I was able to find a tutor that had actually taught AP Chemistry with great results. Her final grade in the class was an "A". Later in her senior year she was taking a dual enrollment calculus III college course. Using WyzAnt again, I was able to find a tutor for a few sessions to help clarify a couple of areas. Once again the tutor was very knowledgeable and a great help. This year, in her first year of college, she needed a little help with linear algebra. My daughter is in college on the West Coast and we live on the East Coast, so I was thrilled to find that WyzAnt could help find a tutor that I knew was not only extremely qualified, but trustworthy. This was the first time I could not meet the tutor, so using WyzAnt made me feel comfortable about who would be working with my daughter. This tutor is extremely knowledgeable and has made sure that they would have enough sessions to help her study for her final. Finals are next week, and I'm sure she will do well.

Great Tutor Search and Selection
I was looking for a Math tutor and just typed in Math tutor, Jacksonville, FL. WyzAnt popped right up. It was easy to enroll. Tutors contacted me immediately. There is a huge selection to choose from. My son liked that there was pictures and together we read their profiles. I love that you pre-pay with a credit card and receive discounts.

Great Tutor Find
Hi! Two days ago we realized that we needed to find a tutor, so we did an internet search and selected WyzAnt. We looked the site over and felt the safeguards were sufficient. We contacted our tutor and in only in two days we had our first lesson with him in Physics. We found him to be Awesome at his job and we are very satisfied at the end of only our first session. We are looking forward to more.
Easy to use and great results
I have used WyzAnt for both my kids. Both tutors were great and helped a lot. It's easy to use and search and I love how no cash is passed between us. It's all done electronically.
Easy to find great tutor
This has been a great experience. I came across your website via google. The WyzAnt site was easy to use, easy to find local tutors. There was a good selection of local tutors. We found a great grad student to tutor my daughter in AP Chem. Her grade improved after her first session, and greatly improved after her second. I will definitely recommend this site to anyone I know looking for a tutor.
Found a gem!
This site helped me link up with a wonderful tutor who is really helping us out! Could not be more perfect. Tried another site and the tutor cancelled appointment an hour before saying too busy and then cancelled the next one due to St. Patrick's Day... too unreliable. This tutor has been timely and reliable.
Seems to work well

Met with the first tutor...but he wasn't familiar with the material enough to be of help...was not charged for his session...fantastic!! Then met with an online tutor through Wyzant! He has been a great help! His very impressive background is a perfect match for helping me with my studies! Wyzant is awesome!! Great Tutors!
My son who is in community college was struggling with Calculus and one of our relatives mentioned that they had used WyzAnt and had lined up a great tutor. We took a look and sent emails to about 8 tutors in our area. Most of them replied right away and after a few email exchanges, we found two really good ones that my son has been using for the past 2 weeks. He just took a big test and is confident he did well since, thanks to the tutors, he really understands the material. He says they are both very knowledgeable and helpful.

Best site ever
So easy to use and has amazing tutors. I wish I found this site long ago. We've hired 3 tutors so far and each one has been top notch in my book. Sometimes we need a tutor for an extended period of time and sometimes it's just for 1 session to get over a small academic hump, but either way, they are always here for us. It's great to have somewhere to turn when we need help. My sons grades and confidence have improved and my stress level has gone down. This is an absolutely necessary part of life for sure.

Excellent tutor and easily navigable website
Wyzant was simply the vessel I went through to be able to have contact with the best tutor I have ever had. I love that the website showed the pictures and had the option of background checks. I also love that I could narrow down the search to my specific need. I was able to easily choose a tutor that was experienced in my specific area of need, mathematics and the GED. At my age, asking neighbors for a a reference to a tutor is embarrassing. I really wanted to keep this confidential. With Wyzant, I was able to find a quality tutor privately, so that the whole world doesn't know that I have trouble with math in my 30s. So, thank you so much. Great Resource for Parents
It can be hard to find a tutor who can work with your child one-on-one, in a specific school subject, and for a reasonable price. I have found WyzAnt to be an amazing tutoring resource for these three requirements and more. By simply typing in our zip code and needed school subject, we were given a list of qualified tutors in our immediate area. I heard from the two I reached out to within 24-48 hrs, which was great since we needed assistance sooner rather than later. It was helpful being able to review credentials and cost, right then and there. We were also able to get a rather inexpensive background check on the tutor, which assured us even more. Being able to make online payments adds to the ease of the exchange, and knowing we can tap into WyzAnt's customer service if needed is also reassuring.

Great Tutor Search
This is my first experience with WyzAnt. I really didn't know what to expect but I have been very pleased with the whole experience. Finding them on the internet, choosing a tutor and setting up the appointments was so easy. All was done thru emails. The tutor I chose for my granddaughter is working out great. They meet at the local library for an hour two times a week. My granddaughter really likes her tutor and the tutor has picked up quickly on my granddaughter's weak spots and is doing a great job with helping her. I highly recommend finding a local tutor thru WyzAnt. Very simple and easy for people with busy schedules.

Great tutor search and selection.
Finding a tutor wasn't as difficult as I thought, and we found a fun and great tutor for my son. Was patient and showed compassion. At sessions, my son enjoyed playing games and at same time learning which was wonderful. I would recommend wyzant and I plan to continue for future needs.

Great tutors in your local area!
I searched the Internet looking for SAT tutoring for my junior daughter over her three week march break. Traditional prep courses -- often held at locations an hour away-- did not meet our calendar needs so I was happy to discover one on one tutoring offered through several companies. Wyzant stood out quickly because of the ease with which you could contact a tutor, match your needs to a list of tutors and find someone within a half hour of your home or less. We have been very pleased!
Great Site and Excellent Tutors
I found the site easy to use and navigate. Payment was simple and there were many helpful tools to find the right tutor - reviews, good background descriptions and contact information once you placed a search. I like the background check feature even though I did not use it for this search. I am not a web nerd and for me the site was quite user friendly. I found 4 tutors and narrowed it down to two I really liked. We have been very pleased with the tutor we found and I would definitely use this service again. I am so glad this web site exists as it really made finding a wonderful tutor very easy!

Very Convenient Tutor Search and Selection
My experience finding a tutor on this website has been great! I previously had to travel 25 minutes on a school night to get to a tutoring session. Wyzant tutors come to your home. It was very easy to sign up and I got responses from tutors immediately. I chose one and it has been affordable and so convenient. It fits into my busy schedule. My tutor is prompt and knowledgeable and best of all, very flexible with scheduling. If I have a big test, I send her a text and she switches things around so we can get together the night before the test. I highly recommend using this website!
Outstanding Resource
My son has Atypical Aspergers and struggles with certain subjects in school. Through WyzAnt I was able to find a tutor that has expertise instructing kids that are on the spectrum. Our son began to excel in the subjects that he previously struggled with. Then we moved to another state and wished we could take Susan, our tutor, with us. With the new school we thought we would take a "wait and see" approach before hiring another tutor. 3 months into the new school year with a different curriculum and a new teacher we knew it was time to explore getting another tutor. For us it was a no brainer. We had such a positive experience and amazing results with our last WyzAnt tutor that we immediately logged on and found another amazing one! Once again our son is excelling! It also makes a huge difference as many of these tutors come into your home and with the background checks we feel so much more secure. I have recommended this site to so many people and before we left one of my friends hired our previous tutor and they LOVE her! Helpful customer support
After I had completed all my tutoring sessions I had money left on my account. Of course, being a first time user, I was concerned about receiving my refund. Well, to my surprise it was as easy as I had read in the policy. I simply called customer service, stated that no more sessions were needed and I wanted a refund. In two days I received the money in my bank account. It was as simple as that. No questions asked, no trying to get me to "save the money" for future use, no haggling at all. I will definitely used wyzant again. Everything went smoothly with the tutor and payments. Great great company!!!

Easier than I imagined
I found the right tutor on the first try. I bought a pre-paid package so that I can use it whenever someone in the family needs extra help with school work. It is great since I am not an expert in many of the areas that my kids need help with, especially math. I found a tutor that I thought I may like, e-mailed them, ran a background check, then the first day we met at the library for tutoring. I am very happy with the WyzAnt experience.

Great tutor search.
I found that using WyzAnt to find a tutor for my daughter easy. The only hard part about the search was which one to choose. I called one tutor and she came over on time and started right in on the lesson. After the tutor left my daughter and I talked and decided that this tutor was not the one for her and we message another tutor and this one is working out great for her.
