From start to finish this has been a stellar experience. Great customer service and the best tutor ever. I found you by searching for a tutor for an elementary school student who was having trouble learning to read. I just put in the zip code and your company came up. If my granddaughter needs more tutoring I will be using the same tutor. If I can recommend Wyzant to anyone I am thrilled to do just that.
Problem solver!
We had a problem. It was time for a tutor, we needed one face to face - not over the Internet, and the amount of time we had available to invest in finding a tutor was very limited. Your app provided multiple tutors to choose from and gave us lots of helpful information about each tudor, including their background, experience, availability and cost. The app also provided the option to run a background check. It solved our problem! My son is now doing much better in the subject he is being tutored in, he has a great relationship with his tutor and I have piece of mind he is safe.

Wyzant has filled the void we have created by a "no so good" online class teacher. The tutor we selected knows his stuff and communicates with our daughter very well. Great site for Qualified Tutors
My expierence thus far with this tutoring site has been excellent. The tutor we selected for our daughters chemistry class is very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. Even though she has only had 3 sessions with this tutor her grade has already improved. I would recommend this tutoring site.
Invaluable Service
I tried to find Spanish teachers on my own. I thought this would be easy in Southern California, where Spanish is becoming as prevalent as English. I found tutors through the city recreation department and a local university, but my granddaughter needed a real teacher to progress. At first, I was reluctant to use a service like yours, worrying that the teachers would lose too much of their fee. Your services have proved to be invaluable. I would never have found Frank on my own, and I am pleased to add a small fee for Wyzant.

I wish I had discovered this four years ago
My teen's new chem tutor has been a big boon to her performance. Her classroom teacher's explanations are unclear to her. Michael, her tutor, has crystal clear explanations. In just three sessions, she's moving from an F to a C, and I expect her to be an A level student by the end of the semester. Wyzant's process is easy to work with. My teen was able to choose a tutor she thought she could work with. I appreciated that background checks had been run. And payment is a breeze. I had suggested skype based tutors to my teen in the past, but she didn't like the idea of it. I would have saved my teen a lot of heartache -- and me, a lot of "have you got the homework done" -- if I had discovered Wyzant's service at the start of high school.
Tutoring has changed everything for the better
On demand 1 on 1 education has proven priceless. I've covered more in an hour session than weeks of college. No exaggeration. I was in extreme need of a Thai tutor and had already checked the local universities around me with no success. I thought that I would never find anyone to help me learn before I was to be dropped in Thailand for a whole year. Luckily, Wyzant helped me a lot. I was able to find a list of Thai tutors in just seconds and found the right tutor for me instantly. Now I am slowly learning with Kanokporn C. and feel really confident that my year in Thailand will be extremely successful.

Knowledgeable Tutors
I used the Wyzant tutoring service, several years ago, for myself. I found it to be helpful then. Now, almost 4 years later, I'm using the service for my son. I have been very pleased with the service and I highly recommend it. There are a variety of tutors available. You have to carefully select the tutor that is the right fit for you. Fortunately, we have both been able to do just that.
Has worked out perfect for what my son needed!
We looked into the tutoring services out their and found that they wanted you to commit to them for a long period of time and pay for the entire time upfront. Maybe that is great for some but my son needed help in one class and I prefer to pay for what he needed now not for what he "might" need in the future. Your site had several choices and most had a lot of feedback so it wasn't hard to find one near by and that others had tried and liked. I would highly recommend using your site.

One of my friend used Wyzant before and came highly recommended to find a great tutor from her. I like the fact that you can find so many qualified people at one place and with reviews and back ground checks it is easy to try some one for your child's tutoring needs. I stumbled onto this site by googling tutors in the Albany area. I am a returning student to college after a 32 year break. I was looking for someone to help with writing a research paper. I know the basics, but needed help with organization, citation and mechanics of the skill of writing. I was hoping to come in contact with someone I would feel comfortable with, someone who really cared about my concerns with making myself a better more skilled writer, someone I could trust, to help me get the best grade that I could. I hit the jackpot with my tutor Elizabeth. She was above and beyond what I could have asked for. My tutor was professional, while both kind and friendly, considerate to my availability, and was able to supply me with exactly what I was looking for. I started using Wyzant last semester as a last result cause Accounting was a new and tricky subject to me and didn't have the luxury of time to spend trying to figuring out complex problems.That was the first time I ever got tutor for any subject whatsoever so far it has been a great Experience. Found a fabulous spanish tutor
Your site helped me locate and employ a fabulous Spanish tutor for my granddaughter. In two weeks, her grades have already gone from Ds to a mid C and I can see that those As and Bs are coming back soon. Our tutor is professional, a delightful person and just really remarkable in her knowledge of the subject matter as well as the school system and giving us tips on how to get more help from the school system. I have tried other methods to try and find tutors before, but I always ended up being frustrated by the response time of the company that organized the service, the prices, or the tutor's response times, or even the tutor's competence at times. I've used tutors from Wyzant for two subjects so far, and I love it. There are so many tutors to search from, and everything about them is on their page, including rates and reviews, which greatly helped me choose my tutors. The response times from Wyzant and the tutors are prompt, which is unlike any other tutoring website I used. And also, Wyzant seems to pay their tutors fairly, which is very rare in the tutoring industry. I highly recommend Wyzant to anyone who needs tutoring.

I found a good number of people who I thought would be a good fit, and any of them would have been I believe, but the selection was large enough that I pinpointed someone who was a great fit in ways I wasn't even shopping for - for example she was able to make suggestions about issues that came up about classwork apart from the actual paper we were editing - because the selection and screening processes had depth and detail. Excellent Selection of Tutors
I have been using Wyzant for about three months. While searching for a tutor to teach me French, I was very impressed with the selection of tutors. All appeared to be well qualified. The tutor I chose to learn from is very good. I am also taking lessons in Spanish. I found the Spanish language tutor through an acquaintance and it so happens that she too is listed on Wyzant. Like my French language tutor my Spanish language tutor is also very good. It appears the Wyzant is very good at the selection process.
Very helpful resource for help with Algebra II
Our son was having some trouble with Algebra II - I remembered how thankful I was when my dad paid for a tutor for my sisters and myself when we were struggling with Algebra so I Googled "help me with algebra" and up popped Wyzant - which I had never heard of before - we were so pleased to find just the right tutor for our son right here in our town of Poulsbo - she has been coming weekly to help and is very much appreciated - the website and app are easy to navigate - thank you Wyzant !!!
Great service
I am grateful for finding this site. There are tutoring services that you have to take your child to and it just feels like school. This service allows my child to get out of the school atmosphere and meet at a local library or coffee shop or book store. My child looks forward to the tutoring because she he classroom atmosphere is stressful for her and this breaks up the homeschooling program that she is currently doing. So, thank you for making it easy for us homeschooling parents.
