Great Customer Support Reps
This was my first time calling WyzAnt for customer support. The first representative that answered my call was so helpful. I was able to express my concerns regarding my account. She was really concerned and even took the time to research my concerns further and gave me a call back. I returned her call at which time she was on the line with another caller and therefore, I spoke with another representative. This representative also took the time to look into my situation. A couple of minutes later, Rochelle called me back to ensure everything was taken care of. I am VERY impressed with the WyzAnt customer support representatives!!
I like that the service is not complicated
I needed a tutor for my daughter for 6th grade math. I went on the website and was able to have my choice of many different tutors with varying abilities. My neighbor turned me on to it and was also very pleased with WyzAnt. I appreciate the pay as you go option, it really fits my budget.
I found the perfect tutor on WYZANT
I have been using a WYZANT tutor for over two years for my daughter. I wanted a piano teacher to come into my home for an hour each week. After reviewing many tutors online and talking to several prospectives, we were able to quickly settle on Lorraine. My daughter is now six years old and loves to play the piano. She is also being taught music theory. It has been the perfect situation. Lorraine has also helped my older child with French. Finding Lorraine was easy because of the access to many tutors on this site. I was also happy with the policy that if for some reason the tutor did not work out, I could use the money in my account for another tutor. For that reason I had no fear giving a large sum of money to WYZANT to not only use for tutors but also so we could receive a fabulous discount relative to the amount I was willing to put down up front. I would not hesitate to use this service to find another tutor in the future and I have recommended WYZANT to many of my friends interested in piano, guitar, and foreign language training.
Easy-to- Phone service, easy to use
Find a tutor was easy. The payment schedule was easy to follow. Using this site helped me find the tutor I needed. Our tutor was patient, knowledgeable, polite, always on time, available for questions by phone. The experience was altogether very good.

It took me a long time to find a Java tutor but I did and I am very satisfied with his mastery of Java and his rate is reasonable, Payment plan seems to be working fine. I would refer WyZant to others. I am glad I found your site.
At Last- a Great Tutor!
My high schooler has struggled with math throughout her school career. Unfortunately, she was 'passed on' year after year, squeaking by on adequate FCAT scores, but never really doing well. The turning point was her freshman year with a disengaged, burned out algebra teacher. She fell even further behind. We engaged a private tutor, but were very discouraged by the lack of consistency. We then tried another tutoring service which selects tutors for students. The first tutor left abruptly after only 4 months. The second tutor assigned to us was disastrous. Not only did she not attempt to understand what she was supposed to be teaching my daughter, her English skills were limited and hampered understanding even more. Tutor 3 was excellent, but found another, higher paying job after 4 months. We learned that this tutor had given a month's notice but no replacement was found by the time she had to leave. The owner of the tutoring franchise did not return phone calls. I finally found WyzAnt and our current tutor. He is a middle school teacher in our county, is patient and kind, and my daughter's Algebra 2 scores have already improved significantly. We are happy thus far with his performance and I was very comfortable with the WyzAnt model for searching/selecting tutors. I also appreciate the indirect payment method.

Quality and Experience of WyzAnt Tutors
I am blessed with having the right tutors for my daughter through WyzAnt. The quality and experience of the tutors is excellent. With the help of WyzAnt tutors, my daughter has a good grasp of the subject. You compare tutors first and you can try different tutors till you find the perfect tutor. Sometimes you get the right tutor from the first try. Tutors come to your home or office and payment is deducted automatically from your credit card on file after the lesson is done. The tutor sends you an e-mail with the lesson to review with the hours spent on the lesson after he/she leaves your home/office. It is convenient that the payment gets deducted afterward from your credit card on file with WyzAnt. By the way, WyzAnt tutors are always accurate in their time spent with student computation. It is a wonderful service.

Finding a good fit for your student
Finding good tutors is especially important to us because my daughter is home schooled. We needed tutors in a couple of different subjects and were able to find good ones through WyzAnt. I like the fact that the selection is so large; we were able to find a good fit at a good price. There was one tutor who, although she wasn't doing a bad job, did not leave my child very excited about the lessons. We discontinued working with her and easily found another tutor from WyzAnt who made the subject exciting and vivid. My daughter looks forward to these lessons. So sometimes it can take a little work to find just the right tutor to get your kid excited about learning but it is easy to do through WyzAnt. We are very happy with their services.
Great tutor search and selection
I have found my experience with WyzAnt to be very positive. I was happy with the tutor selection process and how quickly the tutors responded to my posting. Brian has been a wonderful resource for my son and is a polite, responsible and very accommodating young man who is genuinely interested in my son's success in his lessons. I have found the payment process to be easy and hassle free and I feel good about knowing that I am dealing with a reputable company who makes sure that my billing information is secure.

Teachers are excellent with WyzAnt. Their availability is very flexible. More choices of teachers available for most of the subjects. For some subject areas WyzAnt needs more teachers. For example, AP English. The first time I thought it was just a simple website. But, as and when I get more choices of tutors and excellent customer service, I decided to stay with WyzAnt. I've started recommending it to my friends also. Payment is very smooth and easy with credit card. They charge exactly what they promise. I have used websites and their services from care.com, sylvan learning and Whizard Academy. The overall experience with WyzAnt is excellent and far better than others. One complaint: There should be a printing feature that would allow us to print all the payment history in a report form in the printer. For example, I want to print a report on how much I paid to whom and how many hours in a printer not on the screen only. Thanks, Usha
Great tutor search
Overall great tutor search and selection understanding more than I did before. Very knowledgeable and comes more than prepared. My tutor was in contact with as soon as I posted for a tutor. The payment system works well in notifying of payments. Call centers are helpful and friendly. I am also interested in getting a package deal.

WyzAnt has a good selection of tutors to select from who all seem very competent. Also they have a very good customer support system, that are able to take care of any questions you may have.
A great service
This website was very easy to use to find a great tutor and really was a life saver! Prior to using this site we looked into the local learning centers. The hourly one-on-one tutoring fee at a learning center is much higher than even the highest tutor on this site. We are very happy with the tutor we found here.
Happy with tutor
I was looking for a tutor for a young child who has ADHD, and learning problems in Math. I chose the tutor as she indicated that she had experience with these kind of problems. Even though I am a teacher I found the tutor did a much better job than I could. She engaged him at the beginning with games, and was able to redirect his attention when he strayed. Probably one of the more important aspects is that if he does not understand things presented one way, she shows him various other ways. He still is struggling, because his problems will not be easily overcome, but he feels much more successful. There was one time when the tutor was not available and he started complaining, "Where is Noelia? I need her NOW!" It was very easy to find a tutor as each tutor's biography is presented, and while I have not done this, there is the ability to switch to a different tutor. Payment is extremely simple as I just put this on my credit card and the rest is completed by WyzAnt. The customer service is good and while I have no complaints, the customer service has contacted me to make certain that all is going well. I would recommend WyzAnt to all those who need a short term or long term educational boost.
WyzAnt suits my needs perfectly
WyzAnt has made finding a tutor very easy. The procedure for making the payments are great. I have the ability to buy as little or as many lessons as I want. There are no huge upfront payments or purchases of packages required. For the first time ever my daughter has not been completely lost. Marti is a very good tutor who is very patient.

Easy, excellent service and a great tutor
We're new to the area and although our daughter is an excellent student, my wife and I were looking for extra help since we can no longer help her in math. We found WyzAnt through the internet, and we chose one of the many tutors that responded to our request for help. Our daughter couldn't be happier and she's finding math one of her easier subjects. The system is easy, paying is convenient, and the results are nothing short of amazing. If there are any other subjects that require assistance, I wouldn't think twice of contacting WyzAnt for additional tutors.
Outstanding Tutor Search
I have been extremely impressed with the tutors that I have used through WyzAnt. They have been very professional and have proven to be flexible when it comes to scheduling. I also believe that the hourly rates for the tutors are very reasonable. When it comes to adding additional money for future tutor hours, I can not say enough good things about the WyzAnt customer service center. No More Fighting Over Math
I was looking for a tutor for my niece for refresher Algebra to help her after a disastrous year in geometry and the upcoming school year. She’d had a lazy, boring and apathetic math teacher in 10th grade that was far more interested in coaching golf than teaching kids. Her grade took a nose-dive and her self confidence went with it. She had previously been a pretty good math student so I didn’t think she was incapable, just needed help and especially with someone she didn’t have to fight with and "got it." I talked to some of the Sylvan-type programs and even had a pretty good recommendation from a friend but didn’t think she needed 2,500 hours worth of tutoring, nor did I want to make the $10,000 commitment they required so I Googled "tutors" in her town. WyzAnt came up. I was very skeptical at first but looked around, checked them out on some chat boards and at the Better Business Bureau and thought it was worth a try. When we started out, I picked out 3 tutors I thought looked appropriate for her needs and let her "interview" them and pick the one she felt was the best fit. The biggest win for us is she LOVES her tutor, gives her the highest rating every time they meet and is making progress in her class this year. She gets one-on-one help with her specific class curriculum, not the "program" handed down by the "home office." Payment is super-easy; I like the "pay-as-you-go" plan and think the fees charged are very fair.

Great idea for finding tutors
When I went looking for a tutor for my grandson, I didn't know where to start. My search brought me to WyzAnt. I wasn't sure how it would work, but I soon learned it is very easy and I got to look up and see which tutor I thought would best fit my grandson. I contacted him and got a reply quickly. Setting up payments is easy and they only charge you after the lesson. They keep you up to date on everything and the tutor has helped my grandson greatly.

It's terrific to have a place to go where tutors and parents can meet up in an environment where WyzAnt has done the background work, and you can communicate with prospective tutors to find the right match for your child's needs. For me, finding someone qualified was only step one. I wish this had been around when my child was younger. I live in a rural area and it was difficult to find a tutor nearby. Using WyzAnt this time, numerous qualified tutors responded in surrounding communities, allowing us to pick one that would work around my teenage sons school, band, and work schedule. What I really like is the on-line feedback after every session with the tutor, and the on-line payment feature.
