Our experience with my daughters calculus tutor has been outstanding! I love how easy it is to set up an appointment. Making a payment is easy as well. Easy site to use for quick help

Terrific Tutor Search and Screening tool
I found a good number of people who I thought would be a good fit, and any of them would have been I believe, but the selection was large enough that I pinpointed someone who was a great fit in ways I wasn't even shopping for - for example she was able to make suggestions about issues that came up about classwork apart from the actual paper we were editing - because the selection and screening processes had depth and detail. Excellent Selection of Tutors
I have been using Wyzant for about three months. While searching for a tutor to teach me French, I was very impressed with the selection of tutors. All appeared to be well qualified. The tutor I chose to learn from is very good. I am also taking lessons in Spanish. I found the Spanish language tutor through an acquaintance and it so happens that she too is listed on Wyzant. Like my French language tutor my Spanish language tutor is also very good. It appears the Wyzant is very good at the selection process.
Very helpful resource for help with Algebra II
Our son was having some trouble with Algebra II - I remembered how thankful I was when my dad paid for a tutor for my sisters and myself when we were struggling with Algebra so I Googled "help me with algebra" and up popped Wyzant - which I had never heard of before - we were so pleased to find just the right tutor for our son right here in our town of Poulsbo - she has been coming weekly to help and is very much appreciated - the website and app are easy to navigate - thank you Wyzant !!!
Great service
I am grateful for finding this site. There are tutoring services that you have to take your child to and it just feels like school. This service allows my child to get out of the school atmosphere and meet at a local library or coffee shop or book store. My child looks forward to the tutoring because she he classroom atmosphere is stressful for her and this breaks up the homeschooling program that she is currently doing. So, thank you for making it easy for us homeschooling parents.

I was sitting in my chair looking at my textbook and just not getting it. This course is self-paced and online so I don't really have someone I can turn to for help. My mom saw me so perplexed at how to move forward and suggested I look into local tutors. Lo and behold, WyzAnt has provided a way to find local tutors for a vast array of different subject matter! I have since been working with two different tutors, and although the price is high, the confidence and direction (and hope!) my tutors have given me with my course is priceless! Thank you WyzAnt!
Wonderful site for finding the perfect tutor
After speaking to representatives from the major test prep companies, I realized that test prep is just a business and there is no investment on their part to prepare your child. I was losing faith in finding a great tutor when I found this site. I really wished I knew about WyzAnt sooner. I was able to search for a tutor that met all the criteria I was looking for. In my case, I decided on a tutor that worked online and it has been a great experience. The tutor started right away on getting my son ready for the ACT and she is building his confidence. I am so pleased with the tutor we chose and I know I will be using the site again.

Wyzant is just so user friendly
From a parents perspective. When your child no matter what age is struggling with a school subject you want to do everything to help them but when they are learning at a higher level than you comprehend you have to look elsewhere for assistance. Googling local math tutors is how wyzant came into our scope. After clicking through and reading about the process it was very easy to find suitable tutors and the information given made it even easier to find one matching the child's needs. I would recommend wyzant to other parents.
Prompt tutor referral
After 3 attempts at trying to study on my own using different math tutorials online, I failed the Florida PERT (math only) for college. Passing is important to me because it will allow me to skip prep and intermediate math classes that will hold me back. I'm only required to take college algebra for my degree. I desperately needed a tutor to help me understand algebra. Within 24 hours of my request for a math tutor, I received a response from a local tutor who offered me a rate that worked best with my budget and had open availability. After 3 sessions with my tutor, I gained the confidence and material I needed to study to help me increase the chance of passing the PERT. I am very grateful for the opportunity I had to learn with one of WyzAnt's tutors. I highly recommend them!
Easy to find a tutor
It was easy to find a good tutor, and several contacted me before I made my decision. My current tutor has been very punctual and helpful, thanks to his experience and knowledge as a doctor. Very Pleased
My experience so far using the WyzAnt Tutoring company has been excellent. My daughter found a knowledgeable Math tutor in our area where we live, Mr Avery, and is working on her weaknesses in Calculus. It was very easy to find the right person with Wyzant. The first person we contacted turned out to be the one we needed. My daughter is getting Mandarin lessons twice a week, right near our house for the same amount that she was getting once a week at UNH Manchester last year. We are pleased.

One day, I was browsing online for a Russian tutor located in my area. I was happy to find several tutors in my area, all of them having gone through background checks via the site. What is awesome about this site is that it each tutor has their hourly rate clearly stated; as a matter of fact, they store your credit card and automatically pays the tutor for you after every completed session. I think the most important thing about this site though is that the tutors are trustworthy, reliable, high quality, and flexible. At this point, I have had four Russian tutoring sessions and have learned so much during this time. Possibly the best tutor I've ever had
In the past I've had difficulties learning some topics, however a recent tutor by the name of Molly C. changed all of that. She was organized, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. I felt so comfortable learning from her that I am positive I will use her for future tutoring needs exclusively. WyzAnt did a good job connecting me to her.

I'm so happy I found your website. It is extremely easy to use. It was easy to find a great tutor. I sent an email to Michael and immediately got a response and that same week he had his first lesson with my son. I don't have to worry about payments, it's already deducted from my credit card and then I receive a receipt via email. Considering the specifics of our particular project, we found the perfect tutor for the task. The project consisted of the recording of a song already in the English market by a 13 year old artist in a German translation. We needed a tutor close to our neighborhood, that could help us in a rush situation and that could be present in the recording studio. We found one that not only fit the requirements but ended up been a great tutor.

Great Tutor Resource for Foreign Language Instruction
I'm an adult who wanted some refreshing of French conversational abilities. I had not heard of WyzAnt before, and only found it accidentally while searching for a tutor in my area. What a great resource! I loved how easy it was to look at a number of tutors, be able to communicate with each one in order to learn more about their style of teaching, what kinds of students they accept, etc. And the form of payment is great, too. All in all, WyzAnt really simplified the process.

Never knew it existed!
I never realized WyzAnt existed. My daughter had reached a point where she had a flunking grade in her Algebra II class. While math has never been, or will ever be, 'her' subject, she has still managed to pull a mid- to high B throughout her high-school years. But 4 weeks before the end of this school year, she found herself with an F for the class grade. She was beside herself but didn't know how to change it because she just didn't understand the subject matter, and I certainly didn't know how to help her. I got so lucky when I found Wyzant - it made it so easy to find a tutor (there were actually a number of tutors in my area, which in itself was a surprise to me). I was able to find a wonderful tutor who fit so well with my daughter - intelligent beyond words, and able to support and explain the intricate problems. My daughter feels so much more confident now and since meeting with our tutor, Wendy, has brought her grades up to a high C with a likelihood of a B by the end of the school year - but more importantly, she understands what she's doing. I am really thankful for Wendy, and WyzAnt for pulling tutors together for kids needing the help.

How did I not find WyzAnt sooner? I love that there are so many well qualified tutors from which to choose. The automatic payment system is great... keeping the transacting of cash from being more of the focus than getting the assistance you need. Seth has been more than we could have hoped for. I now feel as though my daughter has a real shot at passing her exams with flying colors.
