Struck GOLD Math & Struck Out STEM
Having been a tutor myself I knew exactly what I was looking for in a math tutor. I made a quick but good decision to go with my first choice tutor on Wyzant. My child and I have been extremely ssatisfied with the sessions thus far. However, I struckout with the science/engineering tutor who I felt crossed a line. When I was outside the library, the STEM tutor told my son he was dyslexic (he has no LD) and that he could cure it by having him read Willy Wonka. He told us the same thing when the session was over. Stunned! Who can diagnose an LD in one sitting w no testing and cure it after one book??? The basis for the misdiagnosis? My child misspelled the word does a couple times while taking notes. Again, stunned that such an odd bird tutor could slip through. My child said he thought things were going well until he was told he had a problem. Ugh.
Great service!
Very unique and ideal service although I personally was not interested in online sessions however I feel very comfortable meeting my online tutor. Other tutors offered working with me with different costs and experiences, it was easy to find my fit.
Easy tutor search
Wyzant made it very easy to find a tutor for my daughter for her college essay. The process was quick and easy. Communications with potential tutors was quick. I definitely recommend using Wyzant!
Great tutor and experience
I have been resorting to YouTube for much of my learning experience, but decided to give Wyzant a chance. I chose my tutor and I am glad I did. Her materials, cheerfulness and patients ...patients...patients have put my learning on a structured and positive path!
Computer support
I like working with my tutor and being supported by Wyzant's online program. The work together on my lesson and then I print each page. I have them in a notebook and put notes on them as I review them.

Great Tutor, Great experience
We were at a loss as to how to come up with a physics tutor for our high school age daughter. I was searching the internet and ran across WyzAnt. I was pleasantly surprised by the number of tutors that were available in our area. The tutor we contacted was Ellen. She responded promptly, we set up a time for her to come and it has been great! She is terrific, not only does she know the material well, but she knows how to relay that knowledge to my daughter. We also get a review from Ellen after each session as to how it went and what they covered. I would recommend WyzAnt to anyone looking for a tutor.
Great Tutor Search and Selection
When I first looked on the site for a tutor, I had many options to choose from. Also including pictures and detailed information about the tutor, from personal to profession. Many responds back offering to help. The tutor i went with, is absolutely amazing, I would recommend her to anyone. Every meeting I have with her, Wyzant sends me an email conforming it. So if you feel that the tutors may be not who they say they are, you have wyzant to back that up. Using this site, the tutors work with you well working around any schedule of life you my have. I called customer service one time, my question was answered and taken care of right away. The offer of different pay options is another great feature. I would highly recommend Wyzant for any NCLEX help needed.
Good tutor search tools
We were impressed with the website that provided useful information: a variety of tutors and descriptions, prices, locations, and ease of use and payments--no contracts! We are very happy with our tutor as well!
