Great tutor search
I had no idea of how I could locate good tutors in my area for my daughters. Through an internet search I found this website which was a great help. In the beginning I wasn't sure they would deliver what they promised, but they surpassed my expectations. I was given a list of names and their qualifications and I emailed few and they promptly answered. I selected one and was so lucky that he was great with my kid and I have seen improvement. Billing was also a concern of mine. However, I was so pleased with the way they handled my account. The tutor feedback and the site feedback were so helpful. Here I am using them again for the second year. I wish all aspects of life were that easy.

So far we have had visits from 2 tutors, one for Math SAT and one for English SAT, and they were excellent!! Professional and prepared! A coworker recommended WyzAnt for tutoring so I thought why not try them for SAT tutoring. The process to find the right tutor was easy. You search for tutors in your subject area and then view their profiles and email them with questions. You can also have tutors matching your criteria email you and then choose. The payment process is wonderful. I gave my credit card information and even received $150 credit by purchasing $1000. From there, you never need to pay the tutors, WyzAnt does!!! Also, you receive a follow up email of the details of the lesson from the tutor.
The most helpful thing
I’ve used this app for many years to find good tutors for my kids. I’ve used it successfully to find in person and online tutoring. The selection of tutors is vast and with online tutoring I’m able to work with people who are highly qualified but might no be able to meet up for a lesson in person. I have used word of mouth but that’s only been helpful 20% of the time. These tutors have helped boost my sons confidence and grades and it’s easy to make payments online and get the material from the online lesson stored so my son can review again later. I think I’d be a lot more frustrated trying to help my son with his grades if it weren’t for Wyzant. Best part no commitment for months and prepay. You pay for what you schedule one lesson at a time. No gimmicks, no pressure.
Great tutors and user friendly website
I have found three exceptional tutors through WyzAnt: one in Spring Lake and two in NYC who have been excellent in every way. The process of finding a tutor is easy. I got immediate answers to my initial inquiries and when I made my choice, I found that they made every attempt to work with my daughter's schedule. All three are very friendly, very smart and flexible. The online payment system couldn't be easier or clearer. I've recommended this website to many friends especially since there is a wide variety of price ranges. In NY some of the tutoring companies have very high set fees that just are out of many people's league and I think that if you find the right tutor through WyzAnt, you can still have some money left over to pay for college!
Tutor search was easy.
My experience with WyzAnt has been great. I could not believe I found a tutor who almost lives in my town. He is wonderful with our son--he is just what we needed. He is young and my son is able to understand everything his says as the tutor does not talk 'above' our son's level. I feel we really lucked out and truly believe his tests score will be improved because of our tutor.

Great Tutors
WyzAnt is a great service. The only thing I would improve on would be that the site needs more advertising. I was looking for tutors for a long time and one day while surfing the net, WyzAnt popped up. As I scanned through it...somewhat skeptical because I never heard of the site before...I decided to give it a try. To my surprise, it's working out great. Our tutor is wonderful and helping my son with math better than anyone has helped him before. The prices are great and they offer discounts on packages. Their customer service support and follow-up is great. I look forward to working with WyzAnt in the future, not only for math, but if I ever need them to help my son with any other subjects that may give him a hard time.

Great tutor search and selection
I would highly recommend WyzAnt! I was lucky enough to find them very quickly through a google search and within 1 day I got a response from a tutor in my area. I was very quickly able to get all the information I needed about him - regarding ability to teach in the subject I was looking for, and since I was taking an intensive 4 credits in 3 1/2 weeks' winter session class, I had NO time to waste. We were covering about 1 chapter every other day and I knew I was in over my head from the beginning. I was able to schedule an appointment to meet with my tutor within 2 days. He was flexible, knowledgeable, patient and understanding and reasonably priced. I got an A in the course thanks to my WyzAnt tutor! I couldn't have done it without him!

Yoa seems to be a good teacher
I received several proposals from potential Mandarin teachers withing 20 miles of my locations, it does show that the WyzAnt search is effective. It took me only a week or so to get settled and find an appropriate contact. So far I must say that Yao Laoshi seems to be very organized, gauging the capabilities before proposing an discussing approaches. We'll try to keep a steady schedule of 1 or 2 hours a week depending on time and availability. This also adds to her qualities that she is willing to cooperate to find the best solution.

I needed to find someone on same day notice and I contacted multiple tutors. Most of them responded in a very short time frame. I was able to find someone to help my son, and so far, it has worked out very well.

I am very impressed with Wyzant. By chance I found this website and decided to take a chance. We found a great tutor and my daughter told me she learned more in the few sessions she had then in her last year math class.
Fantastic Service
I found a wonderful Spanish tutor for my daughter. The process was easy from search to payment. I had a couple of tutors to choose from and their response times were great. The bios provide valuable information on each tutor and are helpful in making your decision. I like the follow up email and survey after each lesson because you can address any concerns or provide positive feedback immediately. Overall it has been a good experience.

This is a very convenient and customer-service friendly product. The website is very intuitive, and works for this busy mom! It takes no time to log on, pay for hours, and schedule a tutoring session for my children. And I have found a very knowledgeable tutor for my children. Great Source for Finding Highly Qualified Tutors
I've worked with four tutors from WyzAnt, and have been highly satisfied with each one. I am currently working with Sharon N., Monroe Twp., NJ who is helping me review French in anticipation of French II starting the Fall 2014 semester at Rider University. This site is great for us people in need of a tutor. You get to check prices and the subject each tutor specializes in, comparing tutors by their reviews by other students' experiences. They have background checks, which is good for knowing what type of person is coming into your home. It's just good to know. Easy Path To A Great Tutor
WyzAnt helped us quickly and easily identify a great tutor for our daughter. Perhaps we got lucky, but the tutor we identified as having the right skill set for our daughter was very responsive to our initial email and able to jump in within a week. His help quickly turned her Geometry comfort level (and performance in school) around and within 3 visits, we are good to go - likely to not need him any longer.

I had no idea what to expect when looking for an Italian language tutor online. The process was simple, hassle free and a great experience. And my tutor... she was wonderful! Not just in teaching the language, but we got into culture and history as well. I will definitely use this service again.
Easy method to find a reliable tutor
I am homeschooling my 6th grade son this year and he wanted to continue with his Spanish studies. On WyZant, it was easy to find a native speaking tutor in our area and the sessions have worked out very well for our son. I like how WyzAnt takes the money from our credit card for each session so we do not have to think about the payment part. It was also helpful that our tutor had recently had a background check and that the process to check on tutors is quite easy through WyZant.

Pointed in the right direction by customer support
WyzAnt pointed me in the right direction when looking for a tutor for my son that has high functioning autism. He needed a specific learning style so he could properly understand different concepts of learning. He has trouble staying on task, giving up due to not understanding material, as well as having trouble with his organizational skills. The past school year has been very difficult for him due to fighting for his IEP (teachers not understanding his learning style due to his AS) and him giving up on school in general because he was failing everything and being retained. With that said, we were at our wits end when I first found wyzant.com; he was so negative about school that he would not even talk about his future education like he used to. He is now a happy, more confident 14 year old boy pushing himself to succeed. The tutor that we were referred to had an extensive background as well as experience with his AS. Through her experience, she has been able to turn him into a more positive student that looks forward to her coming rather than being discouraged with learning. We came up with a plan that would work for his specific needs and reward systems for accomplishing goals. I would definitely refer WyzAnt.com to anyone who is looking into tutoring. I am looking for a tutor for my daughter for the longest time. This is the best, flexible and most convenient service I have found during my search over the past several months. The qualifications of the tutors are listed on line. You can choose the tutor who fits your needs. You are able to contact the tutor via email, to ask them questions, before committing to anything. I thought that was the best service ever. Payment plans are very flexible, we love it. Our tutor is excellent. Our daughter has connected with him and he has really helped her in Pre-calc. We are very happy with the service. This should be advertised in all the schools. EXCELLENT!!!!

Found the Perfect Tutor
I couldn't be happier with the tutor I found on WyzAnt. I actually just "googled" math tutors in my town and the WyzAnt link came up. I had never heard of WyzAnt. I loved the way I could search for tutors based on location and subject. Each tutor had a short biography which was extremely helpful - along with a picture!! There were also reviews from current and prior students. I was able to use all of the information to find a tutor that would be a good fit for my son.
Finding a good fit
I used WyzAnt to find a tutor for my High School Junior who needed assistance in Chemistry but also help in getting prepared to take the SAT. Looking thru the list I was able to find a local tutor with those qualifications and was able to get them together right away.

Helpful customer support - fantastic tutor.
I recently had a problem contacting tutor which customer support quickly helped out with. My daughter and I are very pleased with her tutor - helping with Math. "She is so clever and explains everything in a much clearer way than my teacher or you mummy!"(from my 12 year old 7th grade student) So far my 7th grade girl (who is very bright but needs more time than school gives on math) always ends a math session feeling that the problem pre algebra items she couldn't grasp are actually 'so easy really' when her tutor has gone through them. Her tutor is also very patient and friendly and my daughter enjoys her visits.

We have been extremely satisfied, so far, with our experience with WyzAnt. We were hesitant at first, to use an online service to find a tutor for our child due to the unfortunate reality that the web can be a dangerous place. Our fears were quickly put to rest after our review of WyzAnt's services such as background checks, payment reviews before charging, and very descriptive listings of each tutor. We found a "perfect" match for our child easily and she is actually excited to meet with her tutor on a weekly basis. Unbelievably, after the first session, where she was tutored on proper note taking, she scored much higher than pre-tutor! It really is a spectacular service. We only had one tutor respond to our request for an analysis tutor, but we have been very pleased with the tutoring sessions. My daughter's tutor is polite and knowledgeable about the subject. Payment through the site is very easy with Paypal. We have been glad to use the service.

Great Tutor
Needed a tutor for Chemistry and didn't know where to turn. Found WyzAnt, contacted some tutors and found a great tutor for my son. She is very kind, patient and is able to explain Chemistry to my son in a way he can truly understand. So thankful for this service.
Highly Recommend WyzAnt
I was 100% discouraged regarding taking statics at the graduate level. It was a 3 hour weekly class and the professor was moving pretty fast through the formulas. After receiving an F on my first exam I wanted to give up. There was only one tutor assigned to the statistic course and the schedule conflicted with my other courses and work schedule. As I was on the verge of giving up, my boyfriend suggested I hire a tutor and he simply did a Google search. He suggested I consider WyzAnt. I was skeptical at first. However, I passed that course and now I have moved on to the next and final course of statistics thanks to a lot of prayer and my tutor. I have recommend my tutor to others and I feel she is great. I'm so happy I did not give up! ***and I'm happy there are no contracts....you pay as you go.

Wyzant easy for tutor search and selection
Wow! I started this process about a month ago. The tutors we quick to respond to my requests/needs for a tutor. We have found a great tutor, and my son is happy with all the new techniques he is teaching him. I'm soooo glad that I found this site, too bad it wasn't sooner. Even though it has only been three tutoring sessions, I can see the difference in my son,he more confident(geometry&spanish). I have already forwarded WyzAnts info to a couple of friends!
