I liked the description & locations of tutors. We found a great one, perfect for the subject matter & very knowledgeable.
Very organized.
In the past, my search for a French tutor has been difficult due to location. Every resource I found was too far away. Wyzant provided an array of people who can help me within a radius of my home. I'm able to try out multiple teachers until I find a good match.

I needed a tutor for my niece in algebra. I was able to search on my time with no rush. My family and I are completely satisfied with your website and the tutor who we have been referred to by your company!! Customer support was helpful when I questions the 10% off package. I look forward to seeing a discount when we end our $400.00 package for tutoring. The search for a tutor has been excellent using your website. I have a great Geometry tutor!! My first choice for a tutor was a high school teacher. However, he is unavailable at this time. I like the feature that at least 5 tutors can contact me. I can possibly hire them in the future. Another tutor for the future is a physician who lives in our city. Generally though, I cannot hire the tutors for the entire school year due to the cost factor with a one income family at this time. An average family simply cannot afford $800-$1000 a month for a tutor. However, we like the flexibility of WyzAnt which allows parents to hire a tutor on a short term basis. In our case, it is to prepare our son for his midterm in Geometry. We paid our previous tutors/teachers $30.00-$35.00 an hour for the entire school year. This is more acceptable.

I am glad I found this website because every time I need tutoring all I have to do is go to the website, type the kind of help I need and then I get a bunch of choices which I can narrow down even further like by my zipcode to get tutors that live closed to my neighborhood. This website is really awesome!

I must admit at first I was very leery about giving a website I had never heard of before my card info and trusting them to do right by what they said they were going to do. Best Ever Tutoring Services
Over the past four years I have worked with several tutoring agencies to help my son master rigorous math and science curriculum. My WyzAnt experience has been the best. Particularly because of my experience with the tutor but I am also impressed with the turnaround time to get my son support and the payment plan is also fair and easy. I haven't met with my tutor yet, but when I signed up 2 months ago, I put a credit of 400$ on my account. I had to pull the money out for emergency reasons, and Wyzant refunded the money to me right away!!! I know now I can trust Wyzant. Now that I am back to normal, I just signed up again and I am ready to start my classes. I am very happy.

Easy to read about each tutor to find the one to fit my needs. Found several tutors within a 10 mile radius of my home. Read about each tutor. Then sent an email to one and within 24 hours had a response and set up the first session. Web site is very easy to use and easy to deposit funds.

Excellent Source for Tutors
I stumbled upon WyzAnt by accident while searching on Google for a private in home tutor. Their website made it extremely easy for me to search for tutors in my area that met the criteria I was looking for. I was able to easily make an initial inquiry with two separate tutors that I thought would be a good fit. With each inquiry there was an optional check box allowing WyzAnt to refer the inquiry to additional tutors that also met the same criteria (which I opted for). Within 12 hours from my initial inquiry, both of my selected tutors responded to me, and within 24 hours I had 3 additional tutors reply as well. Of the 5 tutor responses I received, 2 of them were able to accomodate the schedule I needed. After meeting them both (which took less than a week), I decided on one of them and was able to start sessions immediately! So far, I am extremely satisfied with the tutors services, and I still cant believe just how easy WyzAnt made the entire process. I highly recommend their services to anyone seeking a private tutor.

My Search for a Tutor far exceeded my expectations. I was searching for a Tutor in another city; not where I live. After carefully reviewing Wyzant's Registry of available qualified Tutors; communication was initiated with a prospective Tutor and the process was underway. I am currently applying for an MBA program and need to take the GMAT. After taking a pretest, I realized that my math skills are very poor. Decided to seek help. I looked at several GMAT test prep courses but the cost was outrageous and most courses were on demand. I wanted one-on-one help and I wanted the focus to be on math. The nice part was that I was able to contact a few before I found the right fit and it didn't cost me a thing until I decided on the tutor I wanted. There's no hidden fees, you simply get charged for the tutoring session after the fact. When searching for a tutor, the profile includes their hourly rate so there's no surprises. I was skeptical at first but now that I have been doing this for a few weeks, would highly recommend Wyzant anyone searching for a tutor.

Great Spanish Tutor Found
My needs are fairly unique. I want to learn conversational Spanish. I took 4 years in high school back in the 70's. I learn pretty well on my own with books and tapes, but I really need to practice conversation. WyzAnt found me a charming local tutor. We discuss weather, family, travels, current events. It has really beefed up my Spanish and it's a lot of fun.

I have used other companies for tutoring and so far WyzAnt is my favorite. One other company charges a flat $50/hr and sometimes the tutors are so-so but so far I haven't had that experience with WyzAnt. The only negative I have is that the tutors count every minute. If the session is 65 minutes, they charge that extra 5 minutes whereas the other sites would have rounded that off to 1 hour only.

WyzAnt's customer support team is stellar. The staff is very responsive and eager to take care of any question or problem that may arise. I was also able to find a real jewel of a physics tutor who was competent, flexible, and patient. My daughter says that she is getting much more out of her sessions with her than she ever has from her physics teacher.
So Far, So Good!
We have only had good experiences with WyzAnt. The tutors we have talked to are very educated and it lists their expertise. We plan on using the tutoring freely, as it is more affordable than a tutoring center, which has a lot of overhead. We get to work directly with the tutor, rather than dealing with their manager. It is convenient to pay by credit card, rather than always having cash on hand. We contacted one of the tutors last minute for my daughter's Chemistry final and he truly helped her gain confidence.

Great Tutor!
I'm am very satisfied with the tutor that I found on WyzAnt, she is able to tutor my son in both Algebra II and Spanish II. She is extremely knowledgeable in both subjects, relatable to my son and pushes him to succeed. Her availability is pretty open, she has recommended great sites for additional subject education and has offered to review his assignments in advance. In just 2 weeks my son has brought home 2 "A's" and 1 "B" in subjects that he was struggling in with "D's". I highly recommend this site to anyone who has a child who needs additional one-on-one tutoring. I looked into several different sites and companies, that charge membership fees, or a fortune for tutoring packages. If I wanted to spend a fortune on tutoring services I would have enrolled my son in a "private school". This site allows average parents the affordability to give their child additional tutoring at a reasonable rate that does not break the bank.

My son struggles with learning blocks as a result of Autism. Finding tutors normally presents challenges for me. Recently I Google searched "math tutors for autistic kids in Philadelphia" and WyzAnt appeared. From the first trip to the site, my experience has been nothing but positive. The site is very easy to use. By selecting and typing in a few guidelines and filters, my list of matching tutors all included those who were experienced with children with Autism. I am happy with our experience and most importantly, my son is happy. I highly recommend WyzAnt and absolutely will use WyzAnt in the future for any tutoring needs for all of my children.
Excellent tutor and a very easy system
I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with WyzAnt and my tutor Anna. The system is very easy to use; I had no trouble finding Anna, and now that we have scheduled sessions, I have found it very easy to set up further appointments, communicate with her, and arrange payment.
Great Tutor Search
Our experience with finding a tutor started off with the first tutor cancelling after we took the time to meet him and schedule the first lesson. He contacted me and said he had to cancel due to a "Family emergency." Fortunately, your company had sent us another name before I notified you that we didn't need any more applicants thinking we had found one. Being so late into the school year I was afraid it would be difficult to find another tutor that would fit into my son's schedule with his school/sports schedule. I contacted Cody B. and he came to the rescue. Cody has been wonderful tutoring my son and being able to fit into our schedule. We are very pleased with his method of teaching, communication and scheduling. I also like the discount on your package plans. Always a good thing to be able to save a little money. Glad we found WyzAnt. Highly recommend WyzAnt!

Useful way to find a tutor
I heard about WyzAnt from a friend and found it very user friendly. We were looking for a tutor or tutors for my daughter in three different subjects, and we were pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to specify the subject areas we needed expertise in, how quickly we received responses, and the quality of the tutors we heard from.
