Great Experience -- We Found the Perfect Tutor
Finding a great tutor can be a challenge -- especially if your preference, for convenience sake, is to have the tutor come to you. Where to start? I was seeking a Spanish tutor for our son, and just happened upon the WyzAnt site. I began my search, and was returned over 2 dozen tutors who matched our needs. I was thrilled with the variety of Spanish tutors out there -- each with a unique resume, each with unique strengths. There's someone for everyone! I had a good sense of the style of instruction and personality type that would likely work best for our student. The tutors' detailed self-profiles describing their experience, teaching styles and interests, and even client feedback, made it easy to quickly cull down the list to a few finalists. The search process was fun and fruitful. We found our tutor, who has been superb. Our tutor is professional, personable, reliable, energetic, and clearly loves help others learn. Our son is happy to work with her and feels more confident about his ability to do well in Spanish. Her prices are reasonable and I don't even need to have a check prepared or cash on hand. Following each lesson I receive an email both for "lesson feedback" and for payment, which happens through WyzAnt. If we ever need to find another tutor, WyzAnt is the first place we'll turn.

I highly recommend Wyzant. I have paid more money for far less effective tutoring in the past at tutoring businesses and after using Wyzant, I would not go back.
Super Tutor
This is my first time trying WyzAnt and it has been a rewarding experience for my son. He has improved in Math and is very comfortable with Sharon (tutor). I was able to look through the different tutors and their credentials first then I was able to contact them and interview with no problem at all. The payment system was able to set up and I would recommend it to other parents out there looking to get their child ahead or through a difficult subject.
Excellent, Multi-faceted Service
I have wanted to receive tutoring in the past, but it was always so complicated to find a qualified, attentive tutor. WyzAnt made the process easier by listing qualified people who can teach in a big variety of subjects. Also, there are no worries about payment (during the sessions) and it frees both the instructor and student from worrying about finances (which take away from the lesson). I plan to use WyzAnt for all of my future needs. Thanks a lot!
Our First Choice of Tutors Couldn't Be Better!
I found WyzAnt at random on the web, and my first choice for my daughter's math tutor has been perfect. She really cares about my daughter, and is willing to go to any lengths to make sure that Brittany is not only learning the material, but that she is confident in taking tests. All of our personalities "click" and we couldn't be happier with our choice. I would like to thank the folks at WyzAnt for their wonderful service - it has made all the difference in my daughter's junior year in high school. Not only is she really understanding math for the first time, but I think she's actually enjoying it, and her self-confidence has grown as well. I would recommend WyzAnt to anyone looking for help for themselves, or their children.
Great Experience all the way around!
Making the decision to find a tutor for my 8 year old granddaughter was the hard part. WyzAnt made it very easy to find not only one but two awesome tutors. The process of finding a tutor that will meet your specific needs is just a few clicks away. My daughter that lives in a different state wanted to contribute by prepaying for the sessions. WyzAnt made it simple for her to do that online. The first tutor we chose to go with was excellent but unfortunately (for us) after a month she was offered a full time teaching position. Sadly she would no longer be able to tutor due to time constraints. We were very happy for her and found our current tutor within days on WyzAnt. I would highly recommend using WyzAnt to find a tutor that will be the perfect fit for you or your loved one!
Great Tool for Any Parent
As newcomers in Michigan, we thought it would be difficult to find trustworthy tutor(s) for our child without the usual social network and direct recommendations. We gave internet a try and from the numerous sites posting tutors, WyzAnt seemed the best choice – it was very easy to search per the criteria we considered important and the information about each tutor was exactly what we needed to make up our mind. Great tutor credentials!
My children and I met with our tutor at the local library. My sons were very reluctant to meet with any tutor. Donna was fantastic. On time, organized and had a gentle approach and eager to teach. My oldest son said "mom she is really smart, I kinda like her." This translated into, I am eager to meet again. Thank You! I think the ACT math scores will definitely improve.

This has been a good experience as we found a good tutor for my son. She has a lot of experience with middle and high school math, which is just what we wanted.
Great Tutor for Accounting
Had my first tutoring session today for college class. Wonderful experience! Tutor was very smart, profession, friendly and efficient with time. Very focused on what I needed to learn and did not waste time with chit chat or try to extend the session longer than needed in order to perhaps run up the bill. The Greatest Tutor Ever!!
It has been such a privilege to have such a wonderful and caring tutor. Mike W is the best.. I will continue to use him for all of my tutoring needs for myself and the rest of my grandchildren. Best tutoring experience!
My son's tutor, Kelli was great! She helped him with preparing for the ACT. Time was short, so we only had 4 2-hour sessions but she spent every minute well, helping with test strategy, content and general encouragement. Wyzant is easy to use and obviously employs quality tutors. Their prices are extremely fair, especially the "pay-up-front" option. They maintain strict privacy controls for both the customer and the tutor. We highly recommend WyzAnt and Kelli!
Excellent Spanish tutor!
My Spanish tutor Abnel R (Winter Park, FL) was very helpful, punctual and flexible with his schedule. I really appreciate his expertise in helping me to reach my potential. He was patient and I would recommend Abnel to anyone who wants to take their understanding of the Spanish language to the next level. I would also recommend WyzAnt highly, especially since I didn't have to handle payment directly to the tutor, and could pay separately to WyzAnt.

Great tutor, tired student
Jeff is great with my son Tim! You can tell he loves kids and has a blast working with them. He and Tim have a great rapport. They work hard together but at the same time they can laugh and joke too! I just wish we had started with Jeff sooner! WyzAnt is a great tool. At first I was a little hesitant not knowing what to expect from a web site. I had great luck finding a Chinese tutor in my area. I was a little uncomfortable to find the email I received was quoting a different rate for service, so I called WyzAnt. The WyzAnt rep fixed the problem for me and was very kind. I an very happy with the quality of my tutor.

I'm very happy with my tutor choice, available through WyzAnt. It is a very secure and easy to use system. I have no worries when it comes to using the WyzAnt system. Tutor is very close to home and is a very flexible tutor. The rating system is also very helpful.
Great Place to Start
I was happy to have stumbled upon WyzAnt as it has lead us to a very wonderful tutor that we feel secure in using. WyzAnt did provide a wealth of information on tutors and there was a fair amount of tutors to chose from. I received several inquires to my initial request which was very nice. This being the first time we had used a tutor or WyzAnt I was pleased. Charu was very pleasant and very thorough. My daughter was not made to feel inadequate but made to feel very capable of her knowledge; giving her the self confidence she was lacking. I believe we will accomplish much in a very few tutoring sessions.

I have now met with my tutor a handful of times and I have had an amazing experience with him. He really takes the time to explain things in a way that I can understand. My Comments on WyzAnt
This is the first time that I've used WyzAnt. I'm glad that this is a service. It is hard to find reputable tutors. I've asked the school to help me with this process, but as expected, they weren't helpful. So I took matters into my own hands and found this service. My only concern is that it is a little pricey, especially if a student needs a lot of tutoring (even with discount). I know that I have friends that don't make a lot of money and their children need tutoring but she can't afford it, so this is unfortunate for the student who would like to achieve but does not have the support they need to achieve. I believe that your price is more than most people make in an hour and should be adjusted to be more in line with today's earned income. Other than this BIG problem, my tutor has been wonderful. My daughter enjoys her and I like that she provides me status updates on her progress. I highly recommend her. Thank you for your support.

Trustworthy tutoring site
It is good experience to work WyzAnt. This is a good good site to go in if I want a tutor for my kids. Right now, I am still working with Mr. Lynn. And if I have any further need than that, I will go back use WyzAnt again. I recommend WyzAnt to any one looking for a tutor.

Great in home tutoring program
At first I was unsure if I wanted to find a tutor using an online service. This experience has been a positive one and my fifth grader is enjoying her time with her tutor. She really needed the 1:1 attention without the distractions of other students. The payment system is working out great especially 'pay as you go' and I have the privilege through the website to review the tutor session while checking the status of payment received. Overall, this is a great service and all my questions were answered quickly through the system. I would strongly recommend this program to a family or friend.

This seems to be working well. Finding the tutor was time consuming, since I had special requests, but there were plenty to choose from. The tutor is great and we are making real progress. I like the paying on-line feature. Thanks for a good experience.
Excellent overall experience
This has been a great experience overall. It was easy to find a excellent tutor who is able to adapt to my son's specific needs. She's always on time, flexible regarding where to meet, and is able to provide supplement materials to strengthen the lessons.
Excellent Service
I was contacted immediately upon requesting information on a specific tutor for elementary mathematics. A lesson was set up for the coming Saturday. My daughter's tutor was right on time and on task. She was able to pinpoint the trouble spots and frustration triggers within the first 10 minutes. My daughter enjoyed her lesson and now knows exactly what is throwing her off. I will use WyzAnt for any problems I may encounter in the future.

Easy to use
The tutors associated with the school were all booked up, so I went on line. I was skeptical at first, but needed to find a tutor for my son. Erin's profile came up immediately, I read her profile and the reviews from some of her students. After a few emails back and forth with her, I gave my payment profile to WyzAnt, and we were on our way. After three sessions with Erin, Dylan's grade point is climbing slowly but surely. He is approaching his homework and tests/quizzes with much more confidence. He now knows he can learn this material! Using WyzAnt was easy... and it's working!
Greatest Tutor Ever
The tutor contacted me right away. We have been able to complete the assignments on time and with great accuracy. Keith has truly been a God send. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a tutor for finance. Finance classes should be illegal.
Wonderful Tutor!
I am really grateful that Wyzant was able to put me in touch with an amazing tutor! As a native speaker who attended college in Italy she is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, professional, and ethical. In addition, she always responds to email requests and telephone calls promptly. Besides learning a plethora of Italian language, I have also learned a lot about Italian culture which will be quite useful when traveling to Italy. As a student at a local university, my schedule changes often. However, she always places my needs before her own and she is always more than willing to accommodate me.
great service and user friendly
I have been delighted with our experience through WyzAnt. I am thrilled to have found a piano teacher that will come to our home and instruct our children back to back at mutually agreed upon times. We had great success finding an amazing tutor. He was not only professional, had a great understanding of the subject, but he was punctual and easy to work with. I liked paying the service through a credit card and I appreciated that you billed my account and I did not have to do anything else online. It was particularly helpful when the lesson went over an hour.

Good information - quality tutors
The arrangement has been working very well. We felt more comfortable arranging for an unknown tutor by going through a structured organization, WyzAnt, that could provide multiple names and descriptions to enable us to find someone who is a good fit for our daughter's needs. She has been very happy with the educational experience. As it turned out, we actually knew one of the listed tutors personally and can completely vouch for the information WyzAnt provides. We chose not to select that individual because of a personal relationship. But seeing him listed actually made us more comfortable about the quality of the tutoring available.
Great Way To Find a Tutor
My experience with WyzAnt was great! Everything from navigating through their website, prompt replies, customer support, payment for lessons was easy. My daughter had 4 geometry sessions with her tutor and really enjoyed them because in her words "she felt at ease." The tutor was competent, well prepared, friendly, patient and sincere. My overall experience was great and I would definitely do business with WyzAnt in the future.
