Great tutor search and grasp of scheduling
The entire process was excellent from the tutor to the ease of payment. The tutor has been extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She has been available and flexible to my schedule. As an adult student I was skeptical of the entire process but I thoroughly recommend this website and especially this tutor!

Great tutor search and selecion
I am very pleased with WyzAnt. I have been trying to find a tutor for a while and had no clue how to go about it since this is the first time my kids ever needed help that I could not offer. Finding WyzAnt was such a relief. It took all the hardship out of the search. Everything has been taken cared of at the click of the mouse, background check, finances ( no direct transactions with the teacher this is the best part), locations...etc. When I posted my request within 24 hours I started to get offers I had great offers and the one I picked ( Mr. Richard L.) turned out to be a God sent. He is so knowledgeable, so patient, and so positive that my children are much more confident. They enjoy learning with him. After just 2 sessions my son came back from school smiling from ear to ear telling me, he got a "Merit" in class for solving an algebra question that none of his classmates were able to solve! This is very big for him. I wish I had found WyzAnt earlier, it would have saved my kids and I so much unnecessary stress trying to figure out how to improve their Algebra grades. Very Helpful
I was looking for a coding tutor for my son closer to my home since the only one I knew of was 2 hrs away. WyzAnt help me find someone who would come to my house saving me a 4 hour round trip. Plus, he was half the cost and twice as good. The search function is great and I will use it again to find an Accounting tutor for my daughter. I am grateful this service exists. I also like the auto pay set up so I don't have to deal with paying in person at each visit.
Exceptional Tutor
Our homeschooled teen-aged son was struggling with math. He started working with Tammy 2 ½ months ago, and thanks to her genuine love of math and her skills at finding ways to explain things, he has made dramatic progress. He looks forward to doing the homework and to his sessions with her. Organized and professional, Tammy uses creative methods to make the subjects interesting and the concepts memorable. Both in-person and online sessions have been successful. A great tutoring experience.
Easiest way to find a tutor.
I found your website so easy to use, and had many tutors to choose from for each of my daughter's subjects. I received responses quickly from the tutors I emailed and I would recommend WyzAnt's to anyone looking for a tutor.

We have had the Tutor for three visits and so far She had done a very good job. She is down to earth, experienced and knowledegable on the topic. She listens to the student and works on making the student do the work and not just giving them the answers.
Money Well Spent!
We couldn't be happier with the Chemistry tutor that we found for our son on WyzAnt. She genuinely seems to enjoy her subject matter and the students that she works with, which in turn, has lead to a positive experience for our son. Very easy to use search options
This was so easy. Plenty of choices based on need, location etc. Our tutor has really made such a difference already in our son's comprehension of trigonometry. Something I could never help him with! I would definitely use Wyzant in the future.
WyzAnt is a life saver.
I didn't even know WyzAnt existed until a friend of mine heard me saying I needed a tutor for my girls. She told me about WyzAnt and she was saying she got a tutor from WyzAnt and how her tutor has helped her daughter, so once I logged on and started seeing what the site had to offer I was amazed. At first when I pleaded for help it was kind of rocky because no one could fit the schedule or the person that knew the math for my children lived in other areas. Once I sent out a second plea for help, we found the best tutor and she has been amazing and she is very flexible and local. I just want to say thank you WyzAnt and will be utilizing the site once my child goes on to college.
Great tutor, amazing progress!
My little guy fell behind the birthday deadline for Kindergarten but since I am homeschooling I thought I would get a head start. The only thing was that he was struggling with phonics and reading, and because of his desire to please me and not disappoint me, he was getting too anxious during those lessons and giving up before he made progress. I sought out the tutor as an unbiased and not emotionally attached partner to help him build confidence without feeling like he needed to please anyone. And since I am not in the room, when he makes mistakes he doesn't feel like he's disappointing me. I am so proud to hear his progress after each session, and because he is building confidence is his skills he is more willing to do short home sessions in between to help him retain the lessons and he is doing very well with those lessons too! His fear of disappointing me when he makes mistakes isn't so present when we do work at home, and encouraging him even when he does mess up makes him feel better about trying again. I couldn't do it without Michelle, his tutor, and her experience and understanding. She has even taught me a few things that weren't taught when I learned phonics (or I don't recall them, but they are useful!). So far my experience with WyzAnt is wonderful and I would recommend them to anyone! Thank you!

WyzAnt is a blessing to us, so wish I had known about it sooner. Our tutor Kemaray F. is amazing, we sincerely love him. WyzAnt, keep doing what you are doing. When I have had to call, customer service is outstanding. The website is unique, navigation and maneuvering around is easy and understanding. I like that the tutor can put lesson notes on the site, and we can review and rate our tutor. This resource and tool is magnificent, and I have shared the site with my son's teacher in bragging and boasting about WyzAnt. WyzAnt please don't go away. Great Tutor Search and Selection
I was in a crunch and needed to find a tutor for Statistics. WyzAnt made my search so easy. I was able to review the profiles of numerous tutors, sent a handful of e-mails and then waited to hear back from my selected tutors. From there I was able to chat on the phone and determine if we would connect and then I scheduled a lesson. Vince was more than I could have hoped for. He not only helped me gain a better understanding of Statistics, he was able to explain the fundamentals in a way that I could relate to and made it easy for me to retain the information. I've already been referring WyzAnt to all of my classmates and co-workers. The money spent on my sessions with Vince was money well spent and worth every penny.

I was able to find a good tutors for my son. When a tutor comes for a first time, it takes a little time to go over the need, and short introduction. I think the tutors should charge more accurately, especially when they come for the very first time. It's convenient to have local tutors who can come with a short notice. WyzAnt is wonderful! I was referred by a friend, and searched for a Physics tutor for my college aged son. WyzAnt made it so easy to find a tutor who was very close to my son's campus. My son has had three sessions with his tutor, and says he is definitely understanding the material so much better than he was by just going to class. We are very happy with our WyzAnt experience so far.

My son needed help with algebra II. We looked at tutors on this site and sent a message to one. As there is an option for other tutors to respond, several did. The tutor that is actually helping our son is a different tutor than the one we initially contacted. I find the site very useful and easy to use as well as paying for the lessons, though the electronic system. Most of all I am happy with the knowledge and expertise of my tutor David F. who is so knowledgeable in statistics and in English compositions, and so many other areas! He is such a great resource and so excellent at giving me academic advice. As a student in a doctoral program I am required to address multiple aspects of any subject I write about, and I must address them analytically. I find that David is able to provide that academic milieu for me. So, I hope he will continue to provide the service for me and other students who need his expert advice.

I liked the fact that tutors who I had not selected, but would be a great fit, were able to contact me as well. This is how we found our tutor, Ryan, and he truly has made such a difference in just four sessions. I additionally liked the way we could communicate via email with each tutor to learn their availability, teaching style, whatever questions we had before we made our ultimate selection. Easy Tutor Search
My son switched schools and he was not at the current pace of the class. I needed a tutor that handled multiple math classes and could help my son get current. The description of background and having the tutors pick an area of expertise helped us choose quickly. The first session guarantee gave me confidence to move forward. We have been thrilled with the tutor we found through WyzAnt. With his help my son went from a 57 test score and one month later his score was a 100% plus all 15 extra credit points on the chapter test. My son attends his classes with more confidence and now other students are asking for his help with has increased my son's self-esteem. We are thrilled with the outcome of finding the right tutor for the area of study and how WyzAnt handles the logistics for each tutoring session.
Very good website and resource
So far our experience has been great. Your website, allowing pictures and profiles, along with background check information, made it very easy to select a tutor, as well as took away some of the negative connotations associated with "needing a tutor" for my son. The fact that he was able to select a tutor from a number of applicants made the process a more enjoyable one. Our tutor Caleb has been great about communicating and WyzAnt has been great about making payment easy. They notified me when my credit card was about to expire, which was nice not to interrupt payment. The process has been quick and easy thus far!

Informative and Easy to Navigate
WyzAnt site is informative and easy to navigate. Lesson dates, times and place in reminder emails, follow up emails and payment emails are great site tools. Payment online has been a breeze and hastle free. Pricing is clear as quoted per hour. Our tutor is great at breaking down material so that it is easily understood. Tutor follow up with me via email after my son's lessons are informative as to his progress. My son is more confident about passing his class with a good grade not just a passing grade.

I googled "Italian lessons" and found WyzAnt. The tutor I chose was affordable and appeared to be the right one for me. We have already had 3 sessions, and she IS the right tutor for me. WyzAnt made it easy to set things up and to make payments. I get emailed receipts, a chance to give Giulia the great reviews she deserves, and posted reminders for each session. So far, so good.
Great Tutor Site
We were looking for a tutor to help our daughter with AP Physics. Doing a Google search WyzAnt came up and showed you tutors in your local area. It also gives you a background check on tutors they use which was a surprise to us. We chose a tutor and have had several sessions already. She has really helped my daughter understand concepts that her teacher is failing to teach well. I would highly recommend this site and will use it as long as she needs help with school.

Quality Tutors & Ease of Getting Started
Before selecting a tutor to help me with QuickBooks, I carefully read the bio's of several in my area and narrowed it down to two, either of whom I was confident could help me. Because the background and experience of one of them related closely to what I needed to accomplish in my business, I was able to make a selection. At the WyzAnt website, within five minutes, I was able to register and submit my request for this specific tutor. Within a few hours, the tutor contacted me and our first session was scheduled! Payments are charged by Wyzant to my credit card after each tutoring session, and a receipt promptly arrives in my e-mail. After each session, I am able to submit comments to WyzAnt about the session, if I choose to do so. This is the first time I've ever had a need for a tutor, and it has been a 5-star experience. Should I need tutoring for something else in the future, I'll find WyzAnt easily from my 'Favorites.' I will definitely recommend WyzAnt to others!
Great Resource and Website for Tutoring!
A friend recommended I try WyzAnt as a Tutoring source for my son, who needed help in Spanish. From the first that I logged on to WyzAnt's site it has been a very helpful and pleasant experience. It was so easy to navigate the website. I just plugged in 'Spanish', and the city I live in, and up popped four pages of Tutor's right in my county - some very close to my home. I had no trouble emailing and getting responses from the various Tutors, and it was very quickly that we came upon a Tutor who was perfect for our son, and our location. Our Tutor has been coming to our house which is very convenient, and he has been awesome to work with. He posts reviews of his sessions with my son each time he comes, and this helps so I know what they did and what my son needs to work on. It has been super easy to handle the payments as well. I registered our credit card online and it gets charged within a day or two after the Tutor has been here. I get email statements when it is charged as well, so I can keep a record. I am very happy with the whole experience we have had, and I would highly recommend WyzAnt to anyone.

First-time user and found the best tutor match
This was my first time using WyzAnt and I needed to find a tutor for my son. Previously I had checked out other tutoring services where the customer was asked to pay a relatively large payment up-front without even having the benefit of seeing if it was for them. One reason that I chose WyzAnt is that it is very affordable along with the ability to pay as you go. I signed up on the site and sent out a request for tutors. I began to get concerned when only one tutor responded to my request, but as it turns out, the one who responded is an excellent match for our needs. Very perceptive and detailed in approach, I feel my son growing in confidence and competence in math.

I was looking for several weeks for a professional and experienced tutor of Portuguese nearby my home without success until I came across to WyzAnt. The process of finding a tutor through the website was fairly easy and the feedback from other customers was a key factor in selecting my daughter's tutor. The system for making payments and notifying me of payments has been very helpful. Adam has been very communicative regarding scheduling and assignments. My daughter is happy working with Adam and feels she is learning a lot.

My Spanish tutor Judy always has an encouraging word. She introduces new lesson material at just the right pace and sets up conversational review to re-enforce what we have been studying.
