Great Tutor Search and Selection
I looked a number of places to find a Math tutor for my child. I just Stumbled upon WyzAnt. It was so easy to review the tutors. Look at their credentials and reviews to decide who to choose. Process was not overwhelming, meeting with the tutor or payment process. Everything is made so easy. So far it's been a great experience, my child is getting a lot of help and loving Math. I wish I had known about this earlier.
Superb Spanish Tutor
Once you set up your credit card information and what you are looking for the tutors offering their assistance start pouring in. I would suggest to simply create your specific needs for tutors and set your payment information and wait for them to reach out to you. Every tutor I emailed because of their area of expertise and location did NOT reply and probably do not utilize the system as much. However at least six (6) individuals offered assistance. I emailed a few back and forth and decided to meet with one at the local library and the rest was history. She started tutoring our son in Spanish within three days. She has helped him immensely and she is so kind and cares that he understands the subject. Well worth the money spent and now I know I no longer have to panic about certain subjects - I can just go to WyzAnt and find someone who can help.
A Fast, Effective Tutor Search Site that Returns Results
Using WyzAnt to locate a tutor was a perfect solution to our student's desire for a bit of assistance for preparing for an upcoming college entrance exam, specifically math prep for the ACT. The search process could not be simpler, the returned results provided a wide array of tutors from which to choose, the connection and scheduling processes were very straight forward, and the quality of the tutor we ultimately settled upon was most satisfactory and presented a good value for the rate charged, with the billing process a breeze. My experience has been great. I am learning more about the topic and subject matter with the tutor. I accidentally found WyzAnt over the internet. I was not familiar with the program and had never heard of WzyAnt. I was a little skeptical at first however this has been a great experience and has made a huge difference for me and my learning experience of Accounting.
Good Service
It was difficult at first to find a tutor in the subject area I needed at a reasonable price. Because I had been searching on my own, prior to turning to WyzAnt, I knew the prices and how difficult it was. As an informed customer, I can say that once I found a match, within a few days of my posting, it has gone very well. We are pleased with the tutor, and I like the pay as you go process which lets me review the charge and then is automatically pulled from my account. I did phone your customer service dept. once and the gentleman was very helpful and answered all my questions.

Great place to find reviews of local Math Tutors
I was given a list of tutors by my son's counselor at high school. Unfortunately this list did not provide ratings, experience, locations, background checks or anything very helpful really. I felt it would be a difficult task to select the right tutor so I turned to the internet and WyzAnt was found! I'm so glad this service exists to help students link up with a tutor. There were many Math tutors available near to our location with reviews and background checks, etc. We found a great tutor who responded to our request the same day. Love that the payment is settled automatically after the lesson. Tutor charges by the minute so there are never and wasted minutes, and the lesson can be shorter or longer depending on requirements.
Awesome Tutor
Each of my tutoring sessions with Pam have helped me to build a stronger understanding of the subject matter. Going into this course, I was so concerned about how I would ever make it through taking an online course in Statistics. Pam has helped me each step along the way. She has a true talent for understanding her student's learning style and ability and designs each session to fit her student's needs. She is always prepared and knows exactly what material is to be covered. I would recommend her to any adult learner and any parent who wants to help their child academically.

WyzAnt has been critical to enabling access to tutors in the area who will meet the student rather than the student going to a large company. WyzAnt also helped move the process along by asking if they could filter and provide additional names. This is important to talk with a few tutor options, which I did, and we landed with an outstanding match for our needs. Payment process is fine as far as I know - will see my credit card at some point. I was going to use PayPal but the process confused me so just went to credit card. Thank you!!
Easy and convenient
I am very impressed with the company. They answer all my questions and help me narrow down the tutor that I need for my daughter. I use Clement and he is an excellent, very good tutor. He is always on time and returns email right away. I just wish he had more availability in the afternoon.

Helpful tutoring Program
Finding a tutor on WyzAnt.com was a lot easier than trying to find a tutor else where. I had made calls to colleges and other tutoring programs looking for help with no response. When I went on WyzAnt I got an immediate response from a tutor and have had great results since. My son's grades have improved which is a blessing. I am grateful for the service and plan to continue the tutoring over the summer preparing him for the next set of classes.
Great Tutor!
It's no longer an option to ask around for tutors - everybody seems to use friends and extended friends. That's fine through elementary school, but when your kids are taking honors and AP classes, you need a tutor who knows the material and can teach the material. WYZANT was our only option. The only thing that would make this better is if public libraries were open past 5:30PM.

Great Tutor in Italian
I found it very easy to get a tutor through WyzAnt. I have had two levels of Italian and was looking for a one-on-one tutor to just speak Italian with me. I'm going to Italy this summer and want a little more than just knowing where a restaurant or the bathroom is. I want to talk with the locals. I had three sessions with Elda J. and got what I was looking for. She spoke to me almost all in Italian, even when I struggled hearing what she said. She is a delightful person, and quite accomplished as a neurologist. I would recommend her to someone else. I might try another tutor, just to hear another voice.

Great Tutor Search and Selection
Just wanted to say how happy I am with the WyzAnt experience and especially our tutor, Allen B. I have found the experience to be a very positive one. The website was very easy to use and very helpful in choosing a tutor, given the information that is listed about each person along with the rate they charge. My son is a Junior in high school receiving help for pre-calculus. Allen has been a very positive and helpful tutor so far. We have previously used services of "learning centers" which cost a ton of money and didn't give you the one on one that a tutor gives. WyzAnt is an awesome site and I have been talking about it to family and friends!

Great tutor search and selecion
I am very pleased with WyzAnt. I have been trying to find a tutor for a while and had no clue how to go about it since this is the first time my kids ever needed help that I could not offer. Finding WyzAnt was such a relief. It took all the hardship out of the search. Everything has been taken cared of at the click of the mouse, background check, finances ( no direct transactions with the teacher this is the best part), locations...etc. When I posted my request within 24 hours I started to get offers I had great offers and the one I picked ( Mr. Richard L.) turned out to be a God sent. He is so knowledgeable, so patient, and so positive that my children are much more confident. They enjoy learning with him. After just 2 sessions my son came back from school smiling from ear to ear telling me, he got a "Merit" in class for solving an algebra question that none of his classmates were able to solve! Very Helpful
I was looking for a coding tutor for my son closer to my home since the only one I knew of was 2 hrs away. WyzAnt help me find someone who would come to my house saving me a 4 hour round trip. Plus, he was half the cost and twice as good. The search function is great and I will use it again to find an Accounting tutor for my daughter. I am grateful this service exists. I also like the auto pay set up so I don't have to deal with paying in person at each visit.
Exceptional Tutor
Our homeschooled teen-aged son was struggling with math. He started working with Tammy 2 ½ months ago, and thanks to her genuine love of math and her skills at finding ways to explain things, he has made dramatic progress. He looks forward to doing the homework and to his sessions with her. Organized and professional, Tammy uses creative methods to make the subjects interesting and the concepts memorable. I found your website so easy to use, and had many tutors to choose from for each of my daughter's subjects. I received responses quickly from the tutors I emailed and I would recommend WyzAnt's to anyone looking for a tutor.

We couldn't be happier with the Chemistry tutor that we found for our son on WyzAnt. I didn't even know WyzAnt existed until a friend of mine heard me saying I needed a tutor for my girls. She told me about WyzAnt and she was saying she got a tutor from WyzAnt and how her tutor has helped her daughter, so once I logged on and started seeing what the site had to offer I was amazed. At first when I pleaded for help it was kind of rocky because no one could fit the schedule or the person that knew the math for my children lived in other areas. Great tutor, amazing progress!
My little guy fell behind the birthday deadline for Kindergarten but since I am homeschooling I thought I would get a head start. The only thing was that he was struggling with phonics and reading, and because of his desire to please me and not disappoint me, he was getting too anxious during those lessons and giving up before he made progress. I sought out the tutor as an unbiased and not emotionally attached partner to help him build confidence without feeling like he needed to please anyone. And since I am not in the room, when he makes mistakes he doesn't feel like he's disappointing me. I am so proud to hear his progress after each session, and because he is building confidence is his skills he is more willing to do short home sessions in between to help him retain the lessons and he is doing very well with those lessons too! His fear of disappointing me when he makes mistakes isn't so present when we do work at home, and encouraging him even when he does mess up makes him feel better about trying again. I couldn't do it without Michelle, his tutor, and her experience and understanding. She has even taught me a few things that weren't taught when I learned phonics (or I don't recall them, but they are useful!). So far my experience with WyzAnt is wonderful and I would recommend them to anyone! Thank you!

I like that the tutor can put lesson notes on the site, and we can review and rate our tutor. I was in a crunch and needed to find a tutor for Statistics. WyzAnt made my search so easy. I was able to review the profiles of numerous tutors, sent a handful of e-mails and then waited to hear back from my selected tutors. From there I was able to chat on the phone and determine if we would connect and then I scheduled a lesson. Vince was more than I could have hoped for. He not only helped me gain a better understanding of Statistics, he was able to explain the fundamentals in a way that I could relate to and made it easy for me to retain the information. I've already been referring WyzAnt to all of my classmates and co-workers. The money spent on my sessions with Vince was money well spent and worth every penny.

I was able to find a good tutors for my son. When a tutor comes for a first time, it takes a little time to go over the need, and short introduction. I think the tutors should charge more accurately, especially when they come for the very first time. It's convenient to have local tutors who can come with a short notice. WyzAnt is wonderful! I was referred by a friend, and searched for a Physics tutor for my college aged son. WyzAnt made it so easy to find a tutor who was very close to my son's campus. My son has had three sessions with his tutor, and says he is definitely understanding the material so much better than he was by just going to class. My son needed help with algebra II. We looked at tutors on this site and sent a message to one. As there is an option for other tutors to respond, several did. The tutor that is actually helping our son is a different tutor than the one we initially contacted. He is such a great resource and so excellent at giving me academic advice. As a student in a doctoral program I am required to address multiple aspects of any subject I write about, and I must address them analytically. I find that David is able to provide that academic milieu for me. So, I hope he will continue to provide the service for me and other students who need his expert advice.

I liked the fact that tutors who I had not selected, but would be a great fit, were able to contact me as well. This is how we found our tutor, Ryan, and he truly has made such a difference in just four sessions. Easy Tutor Search
My son switched schools and he was not at the current pace of the class. I needed a tutor that handled multiple math classes and could help my son get current. The description of background and having the tutors pick an area of expertise helped us choose quickly. The first session guarantee gave me confidence to move forward. We have been thrilled with the tutor we found through WyzAnt. With his help my son went from a 57 test score and one month later his score was a 100% plus all 15 extra credit points on the chapter test. My son attends his classes with more confidence and now other students are asking for his help with has increased my son's self-esteem. Very good website and resource
So far our experience has been great. Your website, allowing pictures and profiles, along with background check information, made it very easy to select a tutor, as well as took away some of the negative connotations associated with "needing a tutor" for my son. The fact that he was able to select a tutor from a number of applicants made the process a more enjoyable one. Our tutor Caleb has been great about communicating and WyzAnt has been great about making payment easy. They notified me when my credit card was about to expire, which was nice not to interrupt payment. The process has been quick and easy thus far!

Informative and Easy to Navigate
WyzAnt site is informative and easy to navigate. Lesson dates, times and place in reminder emails, follow up emails and payment emails are great site tools. Payment online has been a breeze and hastle free. Pricing is clear as quoted per hour. Our tutor is great at breaking down material so that it is easily understood. Tutor follow up with me via email after my son's lessons are informative as to his progress. My son is more confident about passing his class with a good grade not just a passing grade.

Once again, the process of finding and securing a tutor for my 15 year old was flawless. I had responses from multiple tutors and had the ability to choose the one I felt matched my daughter.
