Found a great tutor!
A coworker told me about Wyzant. What a great reasource! My son needed help with high school chemistry, and I didn't know how to find one. I was amazed at the number and variety of tutors available in my area. Wyzant was easy to maneuver and the tutors I contacted responded very quickly. I could not be happier with the tutor I found. He lives so close, he walks to my home and he is an incredible tutor. After 3 sessions, my son son got an 89 on his exam, (he was getting 70-75 before tutoring). Your site is the best! Thank you.
The best selection of tutors, all under one roof!
So far everything has been great. My son's tutor is amazing. He not only reviews and helps my son with his schoolwork, but he is teaching him valuable lessons on how to study correctly and to enjoy English Literature, something my son was not very fond of. The system of debiting a credit card for payment can't be any easier. I was just lucky and happened to stumble upon WyzAnt, you really should get your service out there because I have lots of friends who are constantly looking for good tutors but don't know where to look for them. All I can say is "What a Find". I will be using your service again and again and certainly will be recommending it to all of my friends.

This was the first time that we used your service for an Algebra 1 tutor, Richard B. He was punctual, professional, attentive and knew how to connect with the student and get to the heart of the problem. My experience so far has been wonderful and so easy! I am technically challenged and found that WyzAnt made it easy for people like me to find a tutor for my son. Our experience to date (3 sessions) with our tutor has been very positive. Our daughter is becoming more confident in her math abilities due to the 1-1 sessions she has conducted. We fully intend to purchase a discounted package going forward.

The selection of tutors was very easy to find. The amount that my daughter's tutor charged was very low priced, which was wonderful, and Tom is an excellent tutor. Communication with Tom has been very easy, my daughter and him always find a an easy way to contact each other and fix a time that is very suitable for the both of us. Tom has truly been a wonderful Chemistry tutor for my daughter. She's now confident when she goes in to class and her overall test and quiz grades have improved. She boasts about how a wonderful, caring and funny man her tutor is. Although he lives at West Nyack he comes to Nanuet with no complaints whatsoever. I really love the fact that Tom waits for myself or my wife to come pick my daughter up before he leaves. He's very responsible and my daughter now enjoys Chemistry! Our experience with WyzAnt was excellent and just what we needed.
WyzAnt first provided us with an excellent list of possible tutors and we found just the right person. It was very easy to make the arrangements for obtaining the services of the tutor we chose, and for taking care of the financials to cover the work done. A Positive Experience for myself and my Teen!
The tutor we chose has been a complete professional. She is knowledgeable and personable and my child is very comfortable with this person. I am also happy because money never physically exchanges hands so the focus remains on my son's learning of the topic during each session. WyzAnt tutor, David W., has been a worthwhile experience for my client. David is a gentleman. He's always polite, courteous, and seemed to care about the student he tutors. I really appreciate the follow-up and feedback from him! If I had to describe the experience thus far, I'd say THOROUGH!!! As far as the company WyzAnt, I was really leery about using a company via internet and where the head office is located out of state--Chicago. Nonetheless, I am glad I did!!! The experience has been very good thus far. I appreciate the great customer service, immediate feedback, and the fact, that WyzAnt does stay in touch with its customers. I have only used one tutor thus far for one of my clients, but the experience thus far has been rewarding, and it is the reason I have referred WyzAnt to my professional colleagues. Great Tutor Search and Selection
The process of finding a tutor was so simple. All I had to do was register with WyzAnt and explain exactly what type of tutoring I required. Once that was done within hours I had received several emails from available tutors that could help me with College Algebra. I selected Mary Ellen. I was so impressed with her resume and she lives in my town. Her fee was very reasonable too. She contacted me and we set up a date and time for tutoring. Had my first tutoring session today. Mary Ellen was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me very clearly step by step. If I didn't understand, she would review it again until I did understand it. SHE WAS EXCELLENT! The billing process was very easy too. Billing info is set up with a credit card and your tutor submits the hours that you were tutored and the credit card is charged. Again very simple. I would highly recommend WyzAnt to all my fellow students. I'm already scheduled with Mary Ellen next week for my next tutor lesson. Can't wait.

Fast Customer Service
I wanted to buy 6 hours of tutoring. Once I did so, I accidentally bought another 6 hours which I obviously did not want. Therefore, I sent the Customer Service an e-mail telling them about my problem. Since I bought the hours in the evening at 10:00pm, I obviously did not expect a respond later that evening. However, I received an e-mail from WyzAnt the very next morning at 9:00am saying that those additional 6 hour transaction has been undone. I was very pleased with that service because I will have my first session with my tutor tomorrow. That is why I am very glad they responded to me this early and helped me out as well!

Finally a place to find any tutor without searching ads in newspapers. I most of all enjoy not dealing with money exchange directly with the tutor and most of all the discounts are really nice if you can add a certain amount into your account.

My experience in selecting a tutor was a good and rewarding process. I found a tutor that I could communicate with and also had completed the course I was undertaking. Multi talented tutors
I needed a tutor fin a hurry or several of my kids and covering a variety of subjects. When trying to find tutors it seemed I always had to sign up for some large package or buy into a class. I didn't know exactly what I'd need for them, how long they'd need a tutor, and -frankly- how well they'd work with the tutor. WyzAnt gave me the option of trying people out. What was terrific was that every tutor we've had has been wonderful. They presented themselves accurately in their online bios and were able to connect with my kids. The tutors weren't thrown for a loop when the kids schedules changed and we needed to rearrange times. I was able to find math and science tutors who could help both my 9th grader and 12th grader.

Great way to find a tutor qualified in difficult curriculum
My daughter was struggling in a Calculus 2 at a college level and needed a qualified instructor fast. I have never hired a tutor before and thought it would be impossible to find someone able to teach mathematics well at this level. Wyzant enabled us to find the right person at a reasonable price. While I was nervous at first to use the service, it worked out well for us. We communicated with the tutor through the website and Wyzant took care of the billing us and paying the tutor. It was a positive experience.

Great Tutor
We were fortunate to find a great tutor for our daughter's junior year HS Spanish course. The tutor is a former teacher at very well know schools who chooses to do personal teaching now. My daughter likes and respects her tutor. The tutor has identified the problem areas and has set out to correct them. She uses a lot of positive reinforcement. My daughter is more confidant now.

Quick and easy
I needed a tutor for college physics and as the site recommended emailed 2 of the ones that looked like a good fit for me. One of them was available and we started the following week. Easy As Can Be
Plugged in my zip code and up popped a bunch of potential tutors. I contacted four that I thought might be good. Two replied that they were available. Both have come to our house to tutor our son in algebra, and both were terrific and extremely qualified. Loved that no money was exchanged at time of visit.

Our tutor is awesome
Our tutor has been so helpful to my daughter who was lacking confidence in testing for her algebra class. She was so nervous and would understand the work but was getting 68 and 70s on her quizzes and test and now in just 3 tutoring session is getting 95s and 100s. We are so blessed to have her helping my daughter understand and enjoy algebra now we can see she got her confidence back and is doing wonderful in class now. I highly recommend WyzAnt for tutoring of any kind.

So far, my experience with WyzAnt has been very positive. We found the perfect tutor, Mr. Bob, for my daughter. The site is so easy to navigate, schedule classes, payments and communication with the tutor. Every after class, the tutor put in the hours and the summary of what was covered. If there's any changes to fee agreement, WyzAnt sends an email for approval before making any changes.

At first I was reluctant to use an unknown internet service provider. After speaking with a friendly and well informed customer service representative, I felt comfortable about proceeding and providing my credit card information. The tutor we selected, Richard D. was excellent. He communicated regularly and in great detail about the progress of our student. He was able to clearly identify strengths and weaknesses and spent time efficiently working on improving skills in the areas that needed the most attention.
