Excellent Program
After several long weeks of struggling with Algebra II, and grades that were falling below honor roll level, I looked into programs like Kumon,Sylvan and Kaplan. However, they were all cookie cutter type programs that required student assessment. However, the assessment was obvious, we needed to get a tutor to help with Algebra...nothing more. In addition, the cost of these programs and the overall time commitment were more than we thought were necessary. The next course of action was to search the internet and by simply putting in "Tutors" and our geographical region and were fortunate to have the website for WyzAnt pop up. There we found of host of resources that were able to support what was needed. A tutor. The other great thing is that tutor are subject specific and the courses range from all academic subjects, to more elective type project like music (both reading music and playing an instrument)to others who can help students with study skills, time management and test taking techniques. We have had great success with WyzAnt. The program provides a host of great tutors, who provide profiles and come from a wide geographic range. The tutor we have selected has proven to make a difference with our child's progress and they work very closely with during instructional periods. The one on one relationship gives students the added attention they may need, until they grasp the missing links and can connect with the subject. We feel assured that over the next month, grades will improve and the overall math average return to the top 10% of the class. I highly recommend this service! Wenrojo

I am so fortunate to have found this site. You sure have intelligent people in this site. Too bad I did not know about earlier, but in the little time, I was able to find a tutor that helped me in the last minute and got an "A" in my final.
Complex Math
Difficult finding a person who has the background and the competency with college level complex math. Wyzant helped in this respect with a number of professionals with excellent backgrounds and ability to convey complex topics.
Great tutors!
I needed help with the AP English assignments and SAT so I just decided to search the web and find what is available. I saw WyzAnt and wondered what it was about, so I clicked on their site to read more about their services. I decided to try it because they guaranteed your money back if you are not fully satisfied. After my first tutoring session, I was so impressed and decided to continue with the services. I did so well in AP English assignments so I requested a second tutor for SAT math. I was not disappointed. Both the English and Math tutors are very patient and professional in their tutoring. They make the lessons very easy to understand and fun. The payment for lessons is very good because you get a discount depending on how much credit you purchase. Compared to other tutoring services, I think WyzAnt is better because the tutors work with you on your specific needs and they get paid and are rated based on the customer. Other tutoring sites gets paid whether you are satisfied with them or not. I really like WyzAnt's approach to tutoring and will definitely continue tutoring with them. I will highly recommend their services to anyone who is looking for tutors.
Best way to get a good tutor without a hassle.
I was very pleased with the process of getting a swim teacher for my grand kids. Gabe was very professional in his approach but also well liked by the kids. It was a good experience.

Great Experience
So far my experience with WyzAnt has been positive. Customer Service reps have been great and I am learning a lot from my tutor. I never even leave my home. We are using Skype since my tutor and I live in different states.

Great Experience
I just happen to find Wyzant by doing a Google search, at first I was sceptical but my son really needed help. What I found was amazing, a large selection of tutors in my area for every subject. I spoke with customer service; she walked me through the process; explaned the criteria and screening process the tutors have to go through to become a Wyzant tutor and the billing process. I reached out to a couple tutors and they all responded within a couple hours. I found a tutor that my son is comfortable with and meets his academic needs. I have used tutors before but the experience with this tutor has been the best so far. He really cares about my sons success and makes himself available when he has any questions or trouble with a homework assignment outside the session. They have met a couple of times and I can tell my son feels more confident and has a better understanding of the subject. I really know he will be finishing the year with his highest grade of the year and better yet he is getting a real understanding of the subject. Overall, we are very happy and it has been an excellent experience.
Easy tutor search with plenty of local tutors to choose from
I was pleasantly surprised with the process of finding a tutor through WyzAnt. Not only were there many tutors to choose from, with bios that helped me choose, but everyone that I sent an inquiry to got back to me very quickly. I will definitely use WyzAnt again!

For me, a great choice

I am extremely pleased with Wyzant. I was able to find a wonderful tutor for my five year old daughter who is very competent and knowledgeable in her field, not to mention that my daughter loves her! If it wasn't for Wyzant, finding a good tutor would never of been this easy. I also love the convenience of paying with a credit card in advance through Wyzant. Wow. Just wow.
Just had my first session on video editing in Adobe Rush. I had spent a week or so trying to teach myself and created a rough three-minute video using YouTube clips and stills. My tutor took me through my video, made recommendations, and showed me how to implement them. In one hour, my video went from interesting but embarrassing, to refined and engaging. And now I know enough to take it even farther. Can't recommend Wyzant enough.

Learning Experience
I find this website to be totally awesome. Since getting my son a tutor his work has improved a great deal. I think his tutor Cheng is a great teacher and my son loves working with him. Finding the right SSAT Math
Wyzant gave us a wonderful experience in finding the right teacher for my son. We were able to discuss with the teacher first to find out her qualifications and experience and then share our problems and topics that need extra attention. We are very satisfied with our Wyzant math teacher and will use her again for sure. Wyzant provides a system that really works well.

Found a great tutor!
A coworker told me about Wyzant. What a great reasource! My son needed help with high school chemistry, and I didn't know how to find one. The best selection of tutors, all under one roof!
So far everything has been great. My son's tutor is amazing. He not only reviews and helps my son with his schoolwork, but he is teaching him valuable lessons on how to study correctly and to enjoy English Literature, something my son was not very fond of. The system of debiting a credit card for payment can't be any easier. I was just lucky and happened to stumble upon WyzAnt, you really should get your service out there because I have lots of friends who are constantly looking for good tutors but don't know where to look for them. All I can say is "What a Find". I will be using your service again and again and certainly will be recommending it to all of my friends.

He was punctual, professional, attentive and knew how to connect with the student and get to the heart of the problem. My experience so far has been wonderful and so easy! I am technically challenged and found that WyzAnt made it easy for people like me to find a tutor for my son. So far his tutor, Tapi, has been very helpful in teaching my son algebra and has kept him engaged during their tutor sessions. I am very happy I found this website and found Tapi!

Easy to find a great biology tutor for my son.
Using Wyzant, I was able to quickly find an excellent biology tutor for my son. With a few clicks I was able to see a list of several tutors available in my area. The profiles and the reviews helped me narrow down my choice and within a few days my son was working with Bob to improve his grade.

I found WyzAnt by coincidence when looking for an ASL tutor, and I have to admit I absolutely love it! Our experience to date (3 sessions) with our tutor has been very positive. Our daughter is becoming more confident in her math abilities due to the 1-1 sessions she has conducted. We fully intend to purchase a discounted package going forward.

The selection of tutors was very easy to find. The amount that my daughter's tutor charged was very low priced, which was wonderful, and Tom is an excellent tutor. Communication with Tom has been very easy, my daughter and him always find a an easy way to contact each other and fix a time that is very suitable for the both of us. Tom has truly been a wonderful Chemistry tutor for my daughter. She's now confident when she goes in to class and her overall test and quiz grades have improved. WyzAnt first provided us with an excellent list of possible tutors and we found just the right person. It was very easy to make the arrangements for obtaining the services of the tutor we chose, and for taking care of the financials to cover the work done. The tutor we chose has been a complete professional. She is knowledgeable and personable and my child is very comfortable with this person. WyzAnt tutor, David W., has been a worthwhile experience for my client. David is a gentleman. He's always polite, courteous, and seemed to care about the student he tutors. I really appreciate the follow-up and feedback from him! If I had to describe the experience thus far, I'd say THOROUGH!!! As far as the company WyzAnt, I was really leery about using a company via internet and where the head office is located out of state--Chicago. Nonetheless, I am glad I did!!! The experience has been very good thus far. I appreciate the great customer service, immediate feedback, and the fact, that WyzAnt does stay in touch with its customers. Great Tutor Search and Selection
The process of finding a tutor was so simple. All I had to do was register with WyzAnt and explain exactly what type of tutoring I required. Once that was done within hours I had received several emails from available tutors that could help me with College Algebra. I selected Mary Ellen. I was so impressed with her resume and she lives in my town. Her fee was very reasonable too. She contacted me and we set up a date and time for tutoring. Had my first tutoring session today. Mary Ellen was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me very clearly step by step. If I didn't understand, she would review it again until I did understand it. SHE WAS EXCELLENT! The billing process was very easy too. Billing info is set up with a credit card and your tutor submits the hours that you were tutored and the credit card is charged. Again very simple. I would highly recommend WyzAnt to all my fellow students. I'm already scheduled with Mary Ellen next week for my next tutor lesson. Can't wait.

Fast Customer Service
I wanted to buy 6 hours of tutoring. Once I did so, I accidentally bought another 6 hours which I obviously did not want. Therefore, I sent the Customer Service an e-mail telling them about my problem. Since I bought the hours in the evening at 10:00pm, I obviously did not expect a respond later that evening. However, I received an e-mail from WyzAnt the very next morning at 9:00am saying that those additional 6 hour transaction has been undone. I was very pleased with that service because I will have my first session with my tutor tomorrow. That is why I am very glad they responded to me this early and helped me out as well!

I love this system!
Finally a place to find any tutor without searching ads in newspapers. I most of all enjoy not dealing with money exchange directly with the tutor and most of all the discounts are really nice if you can add a certain amount into your account.

Multi talented tutors
I needed a tutor fin a hurry or several of my kids and covering a variety of subjects. When trying to find tutors it seemed I always had to sign up for some large package or buy into a class. I didn't know exactly what I'd need for them, how long they'd need a tutor, and -frankly- how well they'd work with the tutor. WyzAnt gave me the option of trying people out. What was terrific was that every tutor we've had has been wonderful. They presented themselves accurately in their online bios and were able to connect with my kids. The tutors weren't thrown for a loop when the kids schedules changed and we needed to rearrange times. I was able to find math and science tutors who could help both my 9th grader and 12th grader.
