Very good service
I was in need of a German tutor in my area and did not know where to look. I found WyzAnt in a web search and was connected with a tutor within a week of looking. The process was smooth and I am well pleased with the service and my tutor is very knowledgeable and has been a tremendous help.
Great Experience
I found WyzAnt through a search engine. I was in need of a tutor to help me understand what I was doing wrong on a state board. I had several responses within minutes of posting my request. After emailing several back over a few days I had found the perfect tutor for me. Setting up the account was easy and made payments for the tutor very convenient. We finally met and are building, what I think, a successful partnership in achieving my goals. I would recommend WyzAnt to everyone in need of expanding their knowledge base.
Awesome Tutor and Website!!!
I was in desperate need to find some help for my daughter, who's a Senior and at high risk to not Graduate with her classmates due to failing her TAKS Math Test 5 times. She was also failing her Algebra II class with a 38 coming near to the end of the six weeks. I had reached out to her Algebra II teacher, TAKS Math Teacher and her school counselor. They all recommended before/after school tutoring but even with all of the extra help, she still failed the TAKS Math test in February. A co-worker suggested to look into a Private Tutor,I thought it couldn't hurt but only help right? but I was also told be ready to payout some Big Bucks. As a parent your willing to do whatever it takes to help your child in time of desperate need. I started to look into websites for private tutoring services and came across WyzAnt. I had never heard of this company nor did any of my fellow co-workers. I admit, I was uncertain and fearful of what I may end up with? Was I going to get ripped off? Who are these tutors? Do they do background checks? How much was this going to cost? After a few moments thinking about my daughter's stress level, hearing her up late at night not able to sleep and hearing the words, "I'm a failure", I took a leap of faith and registered. I was very impressed with the wide selection of tutors in our area and the quick response from one in particular, "Shannon A.". She was very compassionate and she heard my cry for HELP! After the first day of tutoring, my daughter and I both felt a huge sigh of relief. Finally, someone who can actually help! After two days of tutoring, my daughter started to understand her Math and after 2 weeks of tutoring, she managed to raise a 38 average to a 71 and passed her Algebra II class for the six weeks. My daughter's hard work,determination and with Shannon's help, I strongly believe my daughter will pass her TAKS Math next week. I will be forever grateful to Shannon and WyzAnt providing something that no one else could, "Hope". I'm even more surprised, I actually could afford the cost for the tutoring! I would highly recommend any parent or student to take a leap of faith and make the best investment ever with WyzAnt.
Easier website
I love your website and think it's a great idea. I think your website could be easier to use though. For example, I searched out tutors and when I messaged them I clicked the box that would put a bulletin out for other tutors to read so they could contact me as well. Now that I have someone there is no way (or I cant find it) to take down the bulletin so other tutors will quit contacting me. I also had trouble figuring out the back ground check.
Great Tutor Search and Selection
My experience with WyzAnt has been wonderful! I tried to obtain a tutor for my son in trig. but it was extremely difficult to get in touch with them. Then, I happened across WyzAnt and like magic, I was given a list of possible tutors and a very easy way to contact them. Within one week I had selected a tutor (and LOVE her) and my son is on his way to better grades. I am extremely thankful to WyzAnt for providing this service.

I have always sought out private classes on the things I want to learn and it has served me well in terms of mastering skills more quickly than group classes. Wyzant offers exactly that. Greatest tutor and service
My families experience with the web interactive web site was a pleasant one. We did not decide on a tutor right away and when we did decide on one a schedules conflicted but with grace and conviction we (parents and tutor)were able to coordinate or efforts to get one 12th grader caught up and on par with her Algebra II class. Wonderful Experience Finding a Tutor
This was the first time I had attempted to find a tutor for my daughter. I came across the WyzAnt website and easily located a tutor that seemed like a good fit. Found the Tutor we wanted
WyzAnt helped me to locate a local tutor for the SAT math section. Once we could communicate with the tutor, the process was very easy. The tutor we picked based on the profile ended up being a perfect match for my son. The Material covered was on point and the time spent for his study needs and attention span was appropriate. On top of knowing the subject and the tricks of the test, the tutor spent time on test taking skills and filling in the missing educational gaps. The ease with which we located the right tutor at the right time really helped my son prepare for the next SAT. The results are yet to be seen, and certainly SAT performance is up to the kid, not the tutor!

This is my first time hiring a tutor and I wasn't sure where to start. Great Tutor & Great Service
Our tutor is Ho and he is wonderful. My son has improved 100% in 3 lessons. After his first lesson in Geometry with Ho, my son went from failing to an A. Ho is terrific in every way. Glad we found WyzAnt, thrilled we found Ho with only regret that we did not find this service earlier. I would highly recommend this service as it is very customer (parent) oriented with updates after each lesson. WyzAnt keeps a parent informed with balance amounts/hours left and tutor gives update after each lesson. Terrific service with no added stress in figuring out what is going on, how many hours/dollars left and most important - how my child is doing. Thanks.

Like This Site for Finding Tutors
After each tutoring session, we have received a nice summary of what our daughter did with the tutor and the effort which she put forth. Nice...because we don't need to hover to find out! We also get our daughter to do the rating of the tutor, so those stars you see, come from actual experiences with the tutors. Very easy!

Our tutor is the most wonderful tutor ever! She has helped my daughter so much, and my child actually enjoys going to her lesson. Payment is so easy. With paypal, she can go to her lesson and it's paid for automatically. Wyzant is great!
Great Website to find a Tutor!
I found a wonderful tutor for my two teenage daughter's using WyzAnt. She is knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. It was very simple to use the WyzAnt search and they have a large selection of tutors. I liked that fact that I could search based on the subject's my children needed help in and the amount of money I could afford to pay. Overall it has been a great experience using WyzAnt. I only wish I had found them sooner!

Wyzant had many Spanish Language tutors for me to choose from, and the word of my search spread fast. Like, they were knocking on my door to have the opportunity to tutor me. I was able to vet them through email and I now have the person who appears to be just right for my needs. Whenever I called Wyzant, the employees were very nice and helpful. We needed a tutor for our 7 and 10 year old for summer remediation and the process was so painless with Wyzant. Easy to use
I was at a loss to find a tutor for my child as I didn't know anyone who used a tutor. I checked online to see what was available and came across WyzAnt. The process was straightforward (my request was responded to by several tutors) and the final choice was easy after reading his profile and experiencing the first lesson. I wish I had started the process a whole lot earlier!
First take on WyzAnt
When I asked my wife if she had found a Tutor for my 17 year old son she related the usual trials, ask a friend, so and so says this person is great but not taking any more students, this great tutor moved away, posted for a tutor on the college bulletin board but the tutor never showed up, etc. I started searching for tutor resources on the internet and stumbled upon your great service. Within a few days of posting I had 5 replies, after some quick phone interviews, I was able to land a fantastic tutor. The tutors come to your house or will meet the student at a public library. This was a huge benefit after years of shuttling my son to tutors all over the area (some as far as 45 minute drives each way). More time for my son, more time for my family to be together, less cost of gas,etc. But most importantly more time for my son to be tutored! The tutors charges are very reasonable, and after making some scheduling commitments it was easy to buy a block of dollars to cover the tutors cost at a discount. I am already referring all of the parents I know to your great resource. the need is out there, the supply of tutors is out there, This allows a very safe and convenient way to connect us.

Straightforward and productive
If you read the reviews of Wyzant, and their website, you learn how they operate. We contacted the tutor before we opened an account and established to our satisfaction that she could do the job we needed. We placed money in the account and it was drawn down after each tutoring session. We had some cash in the account at the end and it was refunded to us immediately. No problems whatsoever. I would use Wyzant's services again.

My experience with WyzAnt has been awesome. I knew that my granddaughter needed a strong tutor in Science. I started searching the Web to find a Science Taks Tutor. I had never heard of WyzAnt before. When I searched for what I needed, WyzAnt came up. I read the background of Ame and knew she was who my granddaughter needed to help her pass her test. Once she and I met Ame, I knew on our first lesson that we had found the best. I knew that my granddaughter could pass the test but she needed someone who would make her believe it and to also believe in her self and this is exactly what Ame has done. I am pleased with the payment process and extremely pleased with our tutor.
Great way to locate the right tutor.
So far so good, I located my daughter's tutor by choosing from many responses to my search. I felt she was the best candidate based on her own unique experience with teaching kids/teens. My 13 year old loves her teaching styles, and tells me she GETS IT. I'm grateful to have found Marianne. The set up payments are easy, and the package discounts are great. I would reccommend this program to all parents who's kids are struggling or want to advance (in my daughter's case) in a subject.

Math Tutor help
I googled Math tutor help in my area, and it brought up Wyzant. I had already been to Sylvan and found that is was very expensive. I took a chance on Wyzant and had a response within a day for a Math tutor in my area. He comes to our home for one on one with my daughter, and we are paying about $10 less per hour. It has been a great experience so far. I am pleased.

The Perfect Alternative
I started looking for classroom setting when I realized that I either had too much knowledge or was behind the rest of the class and never quite found the right class. Having spent time living in Mexico, I had some working knowledge of the language. I contacted WyzAnt about a Spanish Tutor and had a huge selection of people to choose from in my area. We are able to key in on areas of weakness and we don't waste time on things I already know. I also have more opportunity to speak in Spanish as opposed to being in a class with other students. I plan to continue my tutoring through the summer.
