Unique tutor search
WyzAnt is very unique in that you are able to find certified teachers for various subjects, within your community. With that type of resource, you are able to filter, interview and find a great tutor, that is a great fit for your child. I would highly recommend the use of this website. Payment for tutoring sessions is set up with your approval for payment. After each tutoring lesson, I receive an update on my child's progress and what the lesson plan will be for the next tutoring session. I also receive a gentle reminder as to the time, date & location of the next session.

Excellent way to find a tutor
I have used WyzAnt twice to locate a French tutor. In each case, I have been able to identify the individual that best meets my needs and in both cases, I was extremely satisfied with the tutors. I also like the billing process through WyzAnt rather than having to make a direct payment each time to the tutor. WyzAnt is a brilliant way to match students and tutors!

Great Tutor Quality
Alex E. is the only tutor we have used through WyzAnt because he turned out to be a perfect match for knowing computer science AND math, and was VERY effective at teaching both to clear up concepts, work on problems and give the skills to tackle the next tests to pass. Found a great tutor right away!
I was skeptical of the site after reading about other sites' problems, unauthorized or difficult to remove charges. I had never sought out tutoring either out of center or online. I was even expecting a hidden fee in there somewhere as per usual with many businesses like this, but I went to head and signed up and started the process because my 6th grader needed some help! I got several responses right away and found the tutor we selected quickly. When tutor schedules the lesson, WyzAnt confirms with me via email. Rescheduling a lesson is easy, and after the lesson is complete WyzAnt confirms with me this also. I'm perfectly satisfied!
Love our tutor and love WyzAnt
My experience with WyzAnt has been great! I enjoy receiving updates from my son's tutor and having the amount automatically withdrawn. I get notifications of when the payment will be coming out and I am able to log in and view the lesson history. It has been great to provide this information to my son's teacher. Everything has been with such smoothness and ease!!
Easy to set up tutoring outside of school!
I have my son working with two different tutors on various subjects. The tutors are easy to get in touch with and work well with my son. We are able to work out a schedule that works for us and it's great that the billing is electronic.
Just what you need, right when you need it!
I spent weeks trying to find a tutor, and then found WyzAnt! Being able to read the biographies, see that the background checks had been completed, and get in touch with prospective tutors before committing to a very important relationship (and starting all over) is a gift! The biographical information provided makes it so easy to narrow down the search for a good match, as does having the geographical boundaries of the tutor ahead of time. Being able to have the first session, and assess the fit, was terrific. Setting up a payment method keeps the business side out of the tutoring, which keeps the tutoring time discussions based on what they should be on: helping your child learn! I have verbally recommended WyzAnt, and our tutor, on numerous occasions in these first 3 weeks. Both my child and I are grateful to have discovered the service, and our tutor!
Great Tutor Selection
WyzAnt provided a number of good tutors to select from and we are very happy with David. David has gotten our son up to speed very quickly on his subject. Also the WyzAnt payment system through our credit card is easy. Highly recommended.
Tutor Tutorial
My tutor Jon W. has been absolutely phenomenal! I have tried other tutors in the past and have not experienced any like this! Jon's style and approach is incredibly professional and he identified my learning style, assessed my academic needs and scrupulously created a detailed plan to help me execute my academic goal within a time frame that I set for my self within our first two meetings. All communications with Jon, either in person, email or phone call are always on point. This guy does not miss a beat and he is passionate about teaching and helping students reach there academic goals. I am so grateful to WyzAnt for helping me find my tutor and to Mr. W. for helping me embark on my academic goals with his exceptional knowledge and ability to clarify mathematics in a way that it is no longer hieroglyphics but something I can comprehend and apply to real life applications. Mr. W. has begun to demystify mathematics for me!
Excellent tutor
My son has always found school very easy, until 8th grade honors math (aka algebra). This was very frustrating for him. We had him stay after school with other students to work with the teacher, and we used a website for extra practice. It wasn't until we hired the tutor on WyzAnt that he starting rebuilding his confidence level. The teacher has recently remarked that he was more attentive and doing better. Best decision I've made in a while!
Great way to find a tutor
We needed a tutor on short notice and using WyzAnt, we were able find a great tutor. We find the site helpful and very portable and useful.
Tutor in One Day!
WyzAnt has saved us three times now. My daughter is a great student, but her present class is not really being taught. Let's just leave it at that. She has needed a tutor within 24 hours each time, and each time we have been able to get a fabulous tutor in a crunch! WyzAnt is a great resource and we are quite pleased.
Easy tutor search
I needed to find a tutor very quickly to help my son with an exam. I couldn't believe that I was so easily able to find competent tutors on such short notice at reasonable prices. This is a great service. I also like that money is not exchanged with the tutor and it's through WzyAnt.
Easy tutor search and convenient payment methods
A convenient way to locate a tutor in a certain geographical region. I was able to locate one in our town very easily. Payment system is very convenient. Tutor does not have to handle payments, as it is all done online. Having to cancel 24 hours before (the tutor's cancellation policy) is not very practical though.

WyzAnt made it easy to filter the results to find a tutor that fit my specific needs. I was in need of help with Trigonometry. I searched for tutors in that subject area and chose a wonderful tutor, Ben D. He was patient, and easy to understand. Easy and Effective
I thought it was going to be difficult to find a Latin tutor in our location that would be available to help on short notice. Our experience was the exact opposite. It was fast, easy and convenient. Most importantly the tutor we have is excellent!!!

Easy Process
We have had a great experience so far with WyzAnt. I really like the pay as you go option. Other services require payment upfront and select a tutor for you. I like being able to view the pictures and profile of available tutors. Knowing where they are based is helpful too. Being able to communicate with them via email is a bonus!
Busy Mom's Best Friend
Before I knew about WyzAnt, It would take me months to find a good tutor. I was looking at boards, search engines, taking word-of-mouth recommendations, etc. and crossing my fingers the person was trustworthy and reliable. WyzAnt has really thought this whole thing out. Background checks are either already in place or easily available; most of the tutors are willing to travel (which is friggin' AWESOME, by the way) and affordable, too! And I don't have to remember to go to the ATM before the tutoring session. The money comes out of my account automatically, so I don't even have to think about it. WyzAnt thought of everything.

Great Site
I found a terrific tutor and we worked together for several months before he moved. I am thrilled that WyzAnt launched an online tutoring system, because now we can continue our sessions! The system is very easy to use. There is a large shared "whiteboard," a chat box, and audio and video feeds, if you wish to use them. I love it and highly recommend it!

Top Rate Experience
My second grade daughter has made great improvements in reading in math. We started off with 2 sessions a week and have seen improvements in the classroom with both skills and have reduced the sessions to one day a week. My daughter just love her sessions with Mrs. M. She said, "Mom, everything seems easier for me in the classroom, but I don't want to stop working with Mrs. M."
All Around Great Experience.
I initially had some difficulty connecting with a tutor but that was primarily due the preferences of my daughter and it was the middle of the Christmas Holidays. I had many prompt responses from tutors and finally chose a great one. The entire enrollment, payment and communication system is seamless and easy to navigate. I set up payment with PayPal and was never surprised about payment amounts or times, due the the great communications from Wyzant. Would highly recommend this service to anyone. She passed the test - would have failed her Algebra II final without the help.
Tutor Easily Found
I came to your site looking for an algebra I tutor for my grandson. After reviewing the information given, I selected Dr. Lewis H. I liked the idea of making a deposit from which the tutor could draw after each session. I particularly liked the discount given if you made a larger deposit. Dr. H. has been especially good and my grandson learned a lot after the first two sessions.

Great Tutor
I was so happy to find WyzAnt. I Googled tutors in the area I was searching for and WyzAnt popped up! It gave me a great selection of tutors to choose from and then I was blessed when Leroy B. responded to my request for physics tutoring. My son is a college student that was not clear on physics so I did not want him falling behind because the class moves very quickly. Everything happened so fast with WyzAnt and the tutor we chose. There was no wasting time and my son was able to tutor with Leroy B. only days later at our request and time. He is an excellent tutor and extremely knowledgeable. Leroy B. has a great way of teaching kids and very efficient with corresponding back and forth. It's hard to be in a different state and know that your kid is upset and wants to succeed but is having difficulty. I can only say good things about finding WyzAnt and Leroy B. It has made my son, my husband and myself at ease. We know my son is in good hands because Leroy has outstanding qualifications. I highly recommend WyzAnt to families. Life Saver
My daughter was unable to attend any of the ACT training sessions by the school and the other local classes because she works and cheers and has very little free time. We needed to find someone who could work on her schedule. WyzAnt and Alan K, our tutor, saved us! It has been incredibly easy to arrange times and pay for tutoring through WyzAnt. We will forever be grateful. The reviews of the tutors were also helpful and put my mind at ease when it came time for that first session. Of course after the session, when Alan lived up to all his reviews, my appreciation and love of WyzAnt was solidified.
Great resource for tutors
My experience with WyzAnt has been excellent. Our family just moved to a new area and our daughter needed some extra reading assistance. Since we had no connections and it was summertime, I was worried that finding a good tutor would be difficult. My daughter's first tutor (that I got off of Craigslist) unexpectedly quit after 3 weeks near the beginning of the school year. I was unsuccessful in my search for another through that web site, so I called a couple of tutoring agencies. A representative from one agency responded, but their fees were more than I could afford. That representative suggested a website that she as being a "Craigslist for tutors." I went to WyzAnt.com, read what they are about and how their service works. Fantastic site!
I discovered WyzAnt on Google in a desperate search for a tutor for my 11th grade daughter. The site was very easy to use and I was able to read about the tutors without joining anything. Tutor search process
I am very impressed with the number of tutors in the area. I was looking for a tutor with advanced Excel skills for professional development. Yes, I took a LOT of time going through the biographies of everyone who listed Excel as one of their subjects (I think there were about 75), but found 3 who made the short list. After talking with one, and an initial meeting with another, I found one who could assist with both the intermediate and advanced skills. The payment plan was also very easy to get set up. I also like the summary I get after the lesson, as I am getting a very thorough lesson review as well as the amount of money still remaining on my account. Additionally, I called your customer support line with some questions and found your agents to be very knowledgeable. Great job!!!
Excellent Concept on Searching for a Tutor
I really think the way you have this program setup is brilliant. I was able to see the tutor, read their credentials, check to see if a background check had been done, and read reviews of others. All of these things were very important to me. And, I found the best tutor ever in Ms. Simone J. of Mesquite, Texas!

When my daughter asked to be tutored I asked her school, friends, anyone who may have used a tutor but no luck, so I hit the internet. After a lot of research I chose WyzAnt and I must say I am pleased with the results. I used two different tutors due to certain circumstances and was thoroughly pleased with them both. I asked around school for a tutor and NO ONE, from the teachers to the principle, knew of anyone. I posted on FB and my sister said to check out WyzAnt, that's where she found her son's tutor. Overall our experience with WyzAnt has been very positive. We had an issue with the first tutor and a quick phone call to customer service took care of the issue. The payment method is very efficient. My credit card gets billed and I don't have to write multiple checks. Our tutor Alex is very organized and helpful. Would recommend your company in the future.

Adapts easily to different learning styles
Eric has been tutoring our 11th grader online for 3 weeks now. His test and quiz grades in both subjects have already increased along with his confidence. These subjects are particularly hard to grasp for many students, especially considering there's a lot of material given with limited time to convey it. The one on one tutoring that WyzAnt and Eric offer are a brilliant combination. They are able to hone in on specific concepts our son has left class with questions about and figure them out before the next test. We have had a tutor here or there in the past and Eric is hands down the best match. We only wish we had started sooner!

Great Tutoring Option
I really like the service you provide. I especially like the fact that you have background checks. That makes it allot more comfortable hiring someone to tutor my son. If I had to choose one thing to add it would be having tutors that would list if they would be willing to fill in. My son's tutor had to cancel a whole week for a death in the family which was totally understandable. It would have been nice to have had an option for a fill in though. That being said, this is the best tutoring option I've found. I am really pleased with my tutor and the customer support. I will definitely recommend WyzAnt to anyone who needs tutoring.
