Wonderful Service!
It was so easy to use the WyzAnt service, and we really like the tutor we found(Thomas D). We just began lessons, but my son is feeling more confident in Algebra 1. I will recommend the service to others. It makes it so simple to have the account set up so you do not have to worry about writing a check each time. Your credit card is charged after the lesson. WyzAnt does seem to have a thorough screening process for accepting their tutors so this made it much easier for me to hire a tutor for my son.
JUST GREAT!
I was looking for someone than had knowledge in tutoring the ASVAB test and ended up choosing Hugh because of his feedback and come to find out he is better than I anticipated. He made learning easy which encourage me to ask questions without embarrassment. I thought hes teaching techniques were very efficient because I understood the problems in the first try, refreshed my mind in things I thought were impossible to learn quickly. Response time prompt and professionalee
I contacted three online companies and WyzAnt was the only company that responded with a tutor that had the specific credentials I requested. They informed me of the timeline that it would take during the process so I was not overly anxious wondering if I would get a prompt e-mail the I appreciate the offer for a background check and informing me of the time period this will take. Great news for parents!
My daughter has been struggling in some of her classes, but after canvassing friends I did not have any good leads on tutors. Theirs were either too expensive, not convenient or not available. In desperation I googled "tutors in LA" and this site was listed. What a great idea! Not only do the tutors come to your house, but you can interview a number of them to find the right fit and the billing is taken care of before they arrive. One word of advice to prospective tutors...spell check your responses to parents. I don't want someone tutoring my child who cannot spell simple words. I have already recommended this site to my friends who are in the same predicament. I would like to see more client testimonials listed for each tutor. It would give me more insight into each prospective tutor, but aside from that I have no complaints about the site set-up. In fact, it is quite consumer friendly and if you do have questions the customer support is excellent. Keep up the good work!
You took the hassle out of finding some help!
By the time a parent goes to the internet to search for a tutor you can be assured that the parent is at their wits end. The parent is emotionally distraught and worried for their child's school future. I came across WyzAnt and found it easy to get answers and real easy to search. It was great to see that the tutor would be within a certain distance from your home so that you wouldn't find the right tutor then realize that you had to drive across the metroplex. We found a tutor right near our home. I liked the fact that you could email the tutor and thus get a feel for them without having to pay first. The fact that you get a 100% guarantee for the first session is great. These things are a comfort at a time when a parent needs the comfort. You need easy and not more static to add to an already emotional experience. Your site is clear and with a very basic explanation so that there are no misunderstandings as you get started.
Quick Tutor Search
Searching for a suitable tutor is quick and easy. I submitted a request through WyzAnt to find someone who could help my younger brother in Trigonometry and History and in the same day received responses from tutors in my area. At took a matter of seconds to update my billing information, and once that was done my phone number was sent to the tutors that I selected. I received a call that same day and the following day, he was able to meet with my younger brother. It was so simple I didn't need to contact customer service for anything and did it all myself. The site is easy to navigate and there is just a few steps to complete before you can get started! I heard about this site from a my friend who actually tutors on here and she assured me that the tutors are well qualified. Not just anyone can sign up to be a tutor. Easily find a qualified tutor
This website has been a great help! I was having a lot of trouble getting in touch with my professor when I needed to ask questions and the group reviews that were held often did not answer my specific questions. At this website, in literally seconds I found a qualified tutor that helped me at a time when I was really lost and confused. Fabulous Spanish tutor!
This has been a most pleasant experience! This system made it easy to find a tutor in my area and the tutor we used was EXCELLENT! WyzAnt was very quick and simple to use. I did not have to wait long at all for a response or for arrangements to be made. I would definitely use it again! For me, this was an unknown system so I was concerned about how it would all work out. The system itself is set up to be straightforward. I really like how the biographies are posted too. You can read all about the tutor and their experience. We found someone who was a perfect fit - superb qualifications, kind and patient demeanor, and a joy to work with!!! What made this so great was the tutor herself! She had outstanding credentials and was very accommodating! My 20 year old needed help with her college Spanish work and was only home for the weekend. Our tutor completely understood, dropped everything, and came to the rescue! You have NO IDEA how much we appreciated that! My daughter loved Fabiola! The tutoring session was fantastic. We received one-on-one, careful attention. I have no doubt that my daughter will want to work with Fabiola again and again and we look forward to that. Wonderful Tutor
I was just told of the WyzAnt website this past week by a friend. I went on the website looking for a tutor on Sunday and by Monday I had a tutor at my home tutoring my daughter. The tutor responded to my email promptly, and was able to tutor my daughter in precalculus teaching her some short cuts and reviewing her work. We found out she also tutors in Chemistry, so she will not come again this week to help in that subject. I like the fact the website finds local tutors, so the travel time is minimized. This has been a terrific tool to help me find a tutor that knows the subject matter, is responsible, local and reasonable. Thanks WyzAnt!
Great solution when tutoring is needed!
As I was struggling with Financial Accounting, I wasn't sure what I could do to get help with that subject and succeed the class I was taking. I tried to search for tutors online and found the WyzAnt site, where I registered and found 5 tutors that could work with me on my needs. I called the WyzAnt customer service to get help and get someone to work with me immediately and the experience was pleasurable since I got great service, attention and the response of tutors calling me was almost immediately. I will certainly keep WyzAnt in mind when help is necessary!
Very Helpful Resource
In a panic to find a reputable tutor to help me through a college Chemistry class, I googled for help and found WyzAnt. This is a user friendly fast and reliable resource. Within approximately six hours of contacting possible tutors in my area I received several e-mails for available help. I connected with Nikki and we started sessions the very next day. Nikki came to my home and spent two very productive hours with me reviewing and teaching me needed material to be successful in the course. I found her to be very professional, knowledgeable of subject matter and supportive. I will be meeting with her regularly throughout my course and feel very comfortable in working with her. I appreciate being able to purchase credits on website so that there is no worries in pay transaction. In juggling full time work and school, the services offered by WyzAnt are very helpful. I have already referred two co-workers to the website and appreciate finding the help I needed.
Great Tutor Recommendation
WyzAnt is a great website to find a local tutor at great prices. They give you a detailed description of the tutor's experience and credentials. There is a wide variety of tutors to choose from and the payment process is very simple. If you want to change tutors or are unhappy with the tutor you have you can easily try another from the wide selection. I needed to find a tutor for my college chemistry class, so I searched on Google and found the WyzAnt website. I searched on the WyzAnt website and found a lot of chemistry tutors within my range that lived actually very close by. My tutor came to my house for my sessions and she was on time and professional. She was very knowledgeable about chemistry and came prepared with pre-made lesson plans. This website was very helpful in helping me find a knowledgeable and reliable tutor.
Excellent tutor with so much experience and so professional!
I was skeptical at first because I had never heard of WyzAnt. However, choosing Jessica was an excellent choice. She made me feel so comfortable, we had the session at my home. She was very professional and boy does she know Quick Books. I learned so much from her in one hour. I had already input the information into Quick Books but know I had some of it in the wrong place because my balance was not correct. She was able to delete and change things so quickly, it made my head swell. I would not hesitate to contact WyzAnt in the future and I'm going to recommend this company to all my friends and associates. I have a great report to give to my homeowners' association. I was actually able to sleep last night. Had I known it was going to be this easy, I would and should have set this up earlier!
Easy process and help was very beneficial
I searched a few websites, before coming across this website. It is nice to be able to see the tutors' experience and their qualifications before selecting one to assist me with my assignments. The tutor showed up promptly and was easy to work with and really knew what she was doing. Great Tutor
Today was my daughters first time being tutored in math. She has felt she could never do math. In 1 hour with her tutor she was able to change her whole feeling of failure in math and has already experienced success. She was left homework to do and has completed it and is working on an assignment to help her retain what she is learning. We have tried many things to help her learn in the past ... WyzAnt provides a great service! WyzAnt was easy to find a tutor through. We received emails to choose tutors in our area. It was very easy to narrow down the tutors we would be interested in. The whole system worked quickly and smoothly. Payment with pay pal is very easy also. Also...i don't have to run her to get her help...the tutor comes to us!! Could not ask for more!!
Excellent Tutor
We had tried student tutors and math labs as well as friends and family. After having very limited success, we asked around about private in-home tutors. A friend mentioned WyzAnt, and in the first attempt we located 3 local and very qualified tutors. We decided on Jessica because of her qualifications and testimonials. She has been a life-saver! She zeroed in on where my daughter was having difficulties and presented the material using several different approaches until she found one my daughter could understand. In addition, Jessica connected with my daughter and was able to talk to her in language she could relate to and help her to realize just how important an education is! We feel blessed to have Jessica working with our daughter.
So easy to use!
I really love how WyzAnt operates. I like being able to search through tutors and read their credentials and their location without having to sign up for anything or enter any personal information first. Having posted pictures of the tutors helped us identify the person we'll be meeting: I really like that feature, too. I also appreciate that we were able to email the tutor to get more information (e.g. where the tutoring would take place) before officially signing on. Our tutor responded the same day as our initial inquiry, and was able to begin tutoring within days! Being able to have billing information on file for automatic payment is very convenient, and thus far has been completely accurate and billed only after each tutoring session. The quality of the tutor has been terrific: he's been able to identify the gaps in knowledge that were keeping my niece from grasping more advanced concepts, and has explained math in a way that she understands! We are very pleased with WyzAnt!!
Helpful And Quick
So far I have had a good experience with the program. It was really easy to get started and once I found a tutor I was able to get started in a few days. I plan on using this site continuously until I finish school for any subject I need help with. The tutor I've been using seems very helpful and really knowledgeable on the subjects we have been covering. Although I do think the prices are a little steep I would like to see the prices drop by about a quarter of the price. This would make it much more affordable and I believe more people would use the site, I also think it would allow me to afford more sessions so I could get more one on one time.
Easy to use
My experience has been easy to use. The search was easy to narrow down what I was looking for and the payment is quick and painless. My tutor enters in a review of what we covered and I rate how the lesson was. WyzAnt pretty much takes care of the rest. Easy to use.

I needed to find a tutor for my son and stumbled upon this website that made everything easier for us. Today is the first time that the tutor comes over to teach, he seemed to be very knowledgeable. I feel pretty confident. I also like the fact that the website pays the tutor so it makes it easier.
Find the Right Tutor FAST
As a student athlete and aspiring Geophysicist at the University of Texas finding time to study can be a challenge. When my grades started to slip, I became desperate for more personal attention and help. I decided to turn to the internet to help find a good tutor. The first site I visited had a myriad of tutors to choose from and I emailed about 5 of them. Never got a response- not even to say "Sorry, but I am too busy with other students and don't have time to help you." It was very frustrating and I began to lose hope about ever understanding the material enough to get a decent grade. Then I found WyzAnt! I have to admit I was a bit skeptical to start, but in desperation I went with your site. Brian was a god sent. My daughter came home with this magic in her eyes. Wonderful Tutors

This is the best experience I have had with any tutors. Julie was great with the kids. Finding a tutor was so easy. I felt like it was just a click of a button and I had several tutors to choose from. All the information was right there to make your decision. I love the payment arrangements. You don't have to worry about giving the money at the time of the tutor lessons. It is just automatic. Love it. The support is great. If you have questions all you do is call or email, I prefer email as I am not a phone person at all. My overall experience and impression is this is the only place to find a tutor. All you have to do is give a brief summary of what your child is having difficulties with and it actually distinguishes the different tutors. It is great. Helpful Tutor Search
I used WyzAnt to search for a tutor and within a week I had set up my first session with a tutor. The profiles of tutors are so easy to read and the web site is very user friendly. Even when I wasn't emailing tutors, tutors were emailing me giving their credentials and why they would be a good fit to tutor me. There is such a wide variety of tutors for so many different subjects that I am sure to use WyzAnt for any of my other tutoring needs. I loved the package deal that came with pre-ordering credit from the website, as tutoring can get expensive it is nice to get a break anywhere you can, and WyzAnt definitely gives you the opportunity to save money and get extra credit for tutoring every which way you turn. The site also gives you tutors that are in your area, so finding a tutor that can meet at your home, or your college is as easy as 1 2 3. I loved using this website to search for a tutor and definitely suggest this site to anyone else who is looking for a tutor.
Great Tutoring Resource
We signed up for WyzAnt in October 2010 and immediately got responses from each tutor we selected. Making the selection was the most difficult part because there were so many qualified tutors in our area for high school English as well as advanced math and science courses. We chose two young, super smart (scary smart, really) recent college grads and have had great success. Dan in particular has been a great hit with our 16-year old son who was failing Geometry before we got to WyzAnt. Dan has really targeted our son's difficulties and is now helping him to strengthen his Algebra skills. Anna tutored our high school senior for the SAT writing portion and significantly improved his score. She is also tutoring him in AP Stats and Honors Physics. The bonus for us is that Anna is very familiar with our high school's math program as she tutors many of the kids from the same public school, if not the same class. Overall, we can't say enough about WyzAnt. Tutors are great, response is immediate and satisfaction is overwhelming!
No complaints
I was able to find a tutor who taught my subject. I received a quick response and was able to begin lessons almost immediately. I paid for my first hour, and met my tutor at a public location. Since I am satisfied with how the session went, I will be paying for more lessons. I am still figuring out how the payment system works, but so far everything is going smoothly. The only complaint I have is that I could only find two tutors near me for Japanese. Of these two, only one was a native speaker; therefore I really only had one choice. Thankfully the tutor turned out to be prepared and fairly personable.
So far very helpful
Your system did a very good job of putting me in touch very quickly with a number of possible tutors for a quite specific, college level math course. One possible tutor lived too far away, but within 24 hours we had connected with another tutor who lives near us. So in the space of less than three days we went from seeking a tutor to our student having his first meeting with the tutor. The tutor seems nice and well-qualified.

My son was having a difficult time in his German II class at our local high school, It's not that the teacher was bad it's just difficult to give one on one attention to every student when there are 30 kids for only 55 minutes a day. So, instead of letting him flounder for another semester I decided to Google German tutors and up popped the WyzAnt website! I am so glad that I did that because my son really likes his tutor and in just 15 minutes of his first official lesson she clarified noun cases which he said was huge! He stated at we were on our way home way home "what a good feeling it was to finally understand the noun cases and how it will be so much easier to move on." I think that the time and money will be well worth it. My son is looking forward to a better understanding of German and ultimately a better grade! Out of the 4 tutors that responded in record time I think that we found the best fit for us! Awesome Tutor Search Site, Smooth Transaction & Flawless Process
The moment that I decided my son needed a tutor, I did a search online and was immediately directed to the WyzAnt site. I must say that as easy as it was finding the site, it was equally just as easy to find a tutor whose credentials matched my child's needs. The site allows you to sort through the various tutors utilizing an advanced search option, which is great for clients who already know exactly what kind and method of help they are looking for. The verification process was quick and easy and once my sessions with the tutor were confirmed, closing out each transaction required absolutely no hassle on my end of the spectrum, which is great when you are a very busy mother, wife and business owner. I receive an invoice and lesson evaluation through email shortly after the sessions end and the payments are automatically deducted from my account. This is the best tutor service I have found ever! WyzAnt.com provides an easy and transparent way for tutor search and selection. You see what you get. Some of the tutors have background checks to make you feel better to have them come to your home. The payment is easy and the price/hour rate is actually lower than the tutors I found via other approaches for the same quality. Most of the tutors are good and we have hired them for long term helps. As a parent who spends lot of time traveling out of town and out of the country, I really appreciate WyzAnt.com for providing such a wonderful services to make it possible for me to be able to help my kids on the way! Excellent site to find a suitable tutor for students
Finding a tutor was much easier than I had envisioned with WyzAnt. I searched online for a tutor in math and spanish and WyzAnt popped up. I had no idea what a gem we had found. Our 16 year son struggled greatly last year in math and other subjects and we did not want a repeat this year. I submitted our requests with our ideal location and had responses within hours! We could read about each person's profile, their experience, rates and own personal statement regarding their qualifications to teach our son. Several agreed to meet with us that week at OUR chosen location, which is our local library. Additionally, after each session, we receive a note from the tutor informing us on what they discussed and what would be helpful for us to know. The tutors actually welcome an e-mail from the parent or student and are quite respondent. We are thrilled that our son is saying "I get it" with resulting higher scores on tests, quizzes and homework. Our son enjoys meeting his tutors locally and at the time that works with his sports and school schedule, as well as on the days that do not conflict with other events. He feels he connects well with his tutor too. I'd highly recommend obtaining a tutor through WyzAnt. This is a great all around solution for us and our son. We were able to hand pick our tutor and the price is very reasonable. We simply pay on line through paypal. Also, if you want to pay for a certain number of sessions ahead of time, they offer a nice discount, yet if you do not USE all your tutoring time, you are reimbursed 100% for all unused dollars. It's a well thought out system. A response from Customer service has been just as quick as the tutor - within hours! Both my husband and I have been shocked by the high quality service....not seen much these days, to be honest!

Great Tutor!
WyzAnt has been a very user friendly site. After struggling to find a tutor elsewhere I came across WyzAnt. After creating an account, I was contacted by many tutors. I emailing with a few of them, and was able to find the tutor I had been looking for! In the past I had struggled with finding just the right person. No hassles! Great tool for finding exactly what you are looking for
As a child I was placed in a preschool program that immersed me to the French language. As a direct result I have had an ease with languages as an adult and I knew before I ever had children I would look for a similar program for my own children. As my two children reached preschool age I began an exhaustive search for a native French speaker to play with them, read them stories, etc., and to generally expose them to the language as I had experienced. It took me two years of searching before I came across the WyzAnt site and within a week and a half we had our first session with our wonderful native French tutor. She was everything I had hoped to find and WyzAnt made the entire process so easy. Registering through the site, setting up tutoring sessions, paying for sessions, and even leaving reviews are so easy through WyzAnt. Productive and efficient tutor service provision
I am taking a BioStatistics course on-line for the Master's in Health Care Administration. This is a six-week class, so the required information is tightly crammed and the studying goes in a very fast pace. To tell you the truth, when the class started I had no idea how difficult it could be. I just graduated from Bachelor's program with a 3.95 GPA, so when the second week of the class began, I realized that I am not so savvy in this subject. I never had a tutor before and the whole idea of getting one sounded kind of weird. After searching the great wide-web, I found the link to the WyzAnt services and began my research of the possible tutors. What I really liked about the WyzAnt, is an efficient customer service and that the tutors were located in many areas that were close to my house. This is my third week working with my tutor and I feel that the few hours that was spent, definitely paid off, since my grade is still 97% in the class. Thanks WyzAnt!!!

Very good tutor search
It was very easy for me to locate a good tutor for my daughter. I did not know you existed, but I am glad you do. The description of all the tutors was very helpful with pictures and everything. Reading the description of all the tutors made it easy for me to determine who I would like to tutor my daughter. The payment method is also very convenient. Our first tutoring session with Kartik proved to be very beneficial to my daughter. He explains well and on her level. I would definitely use Kartik to tutor my daughter again. Thank you.
Very Efficient Process
In looking for tutoring help for freshmen courses in college, I located WyzAnt through Google. I found the web site easy to understand and user friendly. Once I put my credit card down as a deposit, I was able to speak to the tutors directly to understand how helpful they could be and their strengths . I have been very happy also with the detailed summary provided on the site to describe the various backgrounds and skills offered by the tutors. The ability to break down by location and major is excellent and very helpful and allows for a good way to pick a tutor through a preliminary assessment. I have been very happy with each of the tutors(three) so far as they have been able to get into the subject matter quickly and have been able to help prepare for the matter at hand. The payment system is very efficient and the two times I called customer service , I found them to be very friendly and helpful.

Highly Recommended Tutoring Search Site!
I work in a high school but when my son needed advanced math help I did not know where to turn. I found WyzAnt Tutoring on an internet search and I will admit, I was a bit wary. I had never heard of this site and in general am not one for trying unknown sites. After looking at the site I decided to try it and emailed a tutor in the subject area. By the end of the day at least 5 tutors in my area had emailed me. I selected a tutor, gave her a contact number and set up the first session the next day. Payment is so simple. I put it on my credit card through the WyzAnt site and WyzAnt keeps track of the balance remaining and paying the tutor. I get summaries of the tutoring session emailed to me after each session. It has only been 3 weeks but my son is already improving. By improving, I mean his math grade has jumped SIXTEEN PERCENT and he finally is starting to understand the work in class! I am so happy and satisfied. I highly recommend this site. The tutors are wonderful and the site makes finding and paying for the tutoring service easy.
Expert Tutors willing to Teach
After only spending a few minutes searching for a tutor, I found one close to where I live. After setting up a meeting with her, everything went smoothly from there. My tutor not only knew the subject calculus very well but also broke steps down to understand each point. Payment was super easy; once the session was over, the fee was automatically deducted from my account. After only two sessions I felt confident in taking my quiz, and soon I hope to do well on my next test. It's great to see good help at an affordable cost. Not only is the fee for each session low but I can buy credit and receive discount, making my payment per session less.
Great tutor
I am so pleased I found WyzAnt. It is easy to navigate and convenient. Kelvin, out tutor, contacted me right away and was able to meet with my daughter the following evening. He explained everything clearly, was patient, and very helpful to my daughter. He engaged her and encouraged her. We are looking forward to working with him for an extended period of time. Great Tutor Search and Selection
There were a great selection of tutors within my area with the expertise I was looking for. I reviewed several tutors backgrounds and I contacted around four of them via e-mail. One of the four tutors I selected really stood out to me as far as her background. I really needed someone to help my 15 year old who has an IEP with better study habits, grammar,sentence structure, etc. Meredith of Baltimore is the tutor I choose and she has definitely backed up what was written down of her teaching experiences. Meredith listened to my concerns, listened to my daughter and then discussed the goals she would like to obtain. Our first week of tutoring was excellent. We just completed our second tutoring session and my daughter was very enthusiastic and more confident. Payment for the lessons are very easy. Payment is made via credit card on-line. I have and will recommend WyzAnt to others.

Great Tutor Search
My wife isn't very computer savvy but she was able to locate a great tutor in our area that was competitively priced. After reviewing the local tutors we made contact with two of them, reviewed their resumes and made our selection. Scheduling was give and take based upon current commitments by both the tutor and our son. Overall, using WyzAnt was a fairly simple and quick process from start to finish.
WyzAnt is a great resouce
I think WyzAnt is a great resource. The ability to communicate before buying hours to insure you and the tutor are on the same page with expectations of sessions. The flexibility makes this very desirable as you only have to commit to the hours and days you actually need. The tutors seem to be skilled and willing to accommodate schedules. I think this will be a great option to have available when my son has difficulty with math.
