Very helpful resource for help with Algebra II
Our son was having some trouble with Algebra II - I remembered how thankful I was when my dad paid for a tutor for my sisters and myself when we were struggling with Algebra so I Googled "help me with algebra" and up popped Wyzant - which I had never heard of before - we were so pleased to find just the right tutor for our son right here in our town of Poulsbo - she has been coming weekly to help and is very much appreciated - the website and app are easy to navigate - thank you Wyzant !!!
Great service
I am grateful for finding this site. There are tutoring services that you have to take your child to and it just feels like school. This service allows my child to get out of the school atmosphere and meet at a local library or coffee shop or book store. My child looks forward to the tutoring because she he classroom atmosphere is stressful for her and this breaks up the homeschooling program that she is currently doing. So, thank you for making it easy for us homeschooling parents.
I honestly did not expect to be "impressed" by online options in tutoring.....
I stand corrected. My 5th grader is demonstrating comprehension, recall and her test grades continue to improve. Thanks Wyzant and thanks to her online-tutor.

I was sitting in my chair looking at my textbook and just not getting it. This course is self-paced and online so I don't really have someone I can turn to for help. My mom saw me so perplexed at how to move forward and suggested I look into local tutors. Lo and behold, WyzAnt has provided a way to find local tutors for a vast array of different subject matter! I have since been working with two different tutors, and although the price is high, the confidence and direction (and hope!) my tutors have given me with my course is priceless! Thank you WyzAnt!
Wonderful site for finding the perfect tutor
After speaking to representatives from the major test prep companies, I realized that test prep is just a business and there is no investment on their part to prepare your child. I was losing faith in finding a great tutor when I found this site. I really wished I knew about WyzAnt sooner. I was able to search for a tutor that met all the criteria I was looking for. In my case, I decided on a tutor that worked online and it has been a great experience. The tutor started right away on getting my son ready for the ACT and she is building his confidence. I am so pleased with the tutor we chose and I know I will be using the site again.

Wyzant is just so user friendly
From a parents perspective. When your child no matter what age is struggling with a school subject you want to do everything to help them but when they are learning at a higher level than you comprehend you have to look elsewhere for assistance. Googling local math tutors is how wyzant came into our scope. After clicking through and reading about the process it was very easy to find suitable tutors and the information given made it even easier to find one matching the child's needs. I would recommend wyzant to other parents.
Prompt tutor referral
After 3 attempts at trying to study on my own using different math tutorials online, I failed the Florida PERT (math only) for college. Passing is important to me because it will allow me to skip prep and intermediate math classes that will hold me back. I'm only required to take college algebra for my degree. I desperately needed a tutor to help me understand algebra. Within 24 hours of my request for a math tutor, I received a response from a local tutor who offered me a rate that worked best with my budget and had open availability. After 3 sessions with my tutor, I gained the confidence and material I needed to study to help me increase the chance of passing the PERT. I am very grateful for the opportunity I had to learn with one of WyzAnt's tutors. I highly recommend them!
Easy to find a tutor
It was easy to find a good tutor, and several contacted me before I made my decision. My current tutor has been very punctual and helpful, thanks to his experience and knowledge as a doctor. My understanding of the subject has much improved since I started with Wyzant. The rates charged by my tutor have been great, and payment through Wyzant has been easy.
