Great sessions with a great tutor.
I never realized that WyzAnt existed until someone told me to go online and try to find a tutor. When I did, WyzAnt came up and the tutors would come to the home 20 miles and less. It so happened that the tutor lived within 5 miles and I emailed her, and gave her my phone number also. We made arrangements for her to come to my place, and the rest is history. She knows what she is talking about,so very pleasant to be around. I have been learning from her what I could not do on my own. Thank you WyzAnt for being there and thank you Pam . "You are awesome."

Great Tutor - Fantastic Web Resource
Finding the WyzAnt website has been the gold resource of my summer, and not just for my daughter. I have been telling everyone about this site and describing it as a cross between Amazon and Facebook for anyone's learning needs. The site is well-linked and high functioning. It takes the customer smoothly from one end of business to the other. And, the creators of the site have thought of each step of a transaction and built in clear high functioning (no glitches!) steps to finding a tutor and managing the relationship. When the tutor is here, the focus is solely on my daughter. The WyzAnt site takes care of everything!

Based on my 2 week experience, I am enjoying the service of WyzAnt. I couldn't have chosen a better tutor. My tutor's profile was spot on to the work that I needed help with. Helpful site for tutor searching
I've been new to town/USA and my son has found difficulties in catching up with a new environment and school work. I Googled it and found WyzAnt very useful in the following ways: Very informative in tutor background, i.e. subject, experience, photos, rates, etc. etc. that helps me to identify potential matches. I've so far tried two tutors and both are very helpful. The system that the tutors rely on does provide good tracking, an aspect that I like about for security reason from both ends. The background checks provide a little extra comfort. There are quite many responses and in a very short time once I posted my tutor search requirements, so unfortunately, I couldn't really respond to all of them. The backgrounds of the tutors seem to be very impressive.

Payment was extremely easy, obtaining extra course materials was simple, and the tutor was flexible around my schedule and made sure I had a personalized approach to learning. My tutor not only taught me the basics needed to understand SAT math, but he made me confident enough to attempt every problem with a "can-do" attitude making it so that by the time I took my SAT, I knew how to do almost every problem.

Excellent Results
Finding a suitable geometry instructor for my ninth grade daughter who feared losing her perfect A history due to a difficult class was very simple with WyzAnt. We were given a variety of tutors from which to choose, each with an attached brief bio. The one we selected has been very effective, as my daughter now understands the subject matter much more completely than what the class time with the instructor offered, and she now has a strong A.

Great Service and Qualified Instructors!
I don't like monopolies, but if you can crush the competition with sheer competence, go for it! If there are other players out there at your level, they are too hard to find to be a worry to you now at least. I originally signed up with another website for tutors and was buried by unqualified instructors offering their services and no response from the instructor I contacted. Your discount rates in bulk are great and the desire to please comes across in every email.

I have been studying with Linda for a few weeks now and am really enjoying my lessons. Linda is an excellent teacher and goes out of her way to find content areas in which I am interested. Very good in setting goals. Very supportive and encouraging - I am very rusty after many years of "lapsed" French practice and study and Linda is very patient. Infectious enthusiasm!
Great match for my specific tutoring needs
I was matched with several people on WyzAnt for a piano tutor. I was able to review each tutor and find out what their qualifications were, and whether they would be able to meet my needs. I am very satisfied with the tutor I found and feel that she is the best match for me. There is no way I would have been able to teach myself this quickly, and appreciate her experience, professionalism, and patience! I haven't had any problems with payments, and that entire process has been a smooth one. I did have a question and sent an email to WyzAnt, and they responded in less than 24 hours. Great Tutor Search and Selection
My grandson needed some extra help with physics. The school was unable to provide a tutor. I turned to the internet and found WyzAnt. I was provided with a long list of qualified tutors. In addition, I was provided with all their billable rates and an easy method of payment. The first tutor we chose did not meet our expectations. We were not charged for that session. The second tutor has been great. This is a great service. I am so glad that I found them.

Found fantastic tutor for standardized tests
My son is preparing to take two standardized tests for high school admissions. He was a poor test taker and needed a lot of review in all subjects. After just a few weeks, he has already made substantial improvements in all four testing areas. My son loves the online tutoring, and he's a tough one to please. Because we don't have to waste time driving to a tutor, he is able to add an additional half hour to his sessions. He likes to be able to work from his room, talk to his tutor via video, do sample problems on the white board and save them to his computer. We live in a small town with not as many choices for tutors, but thanks to WyzAnt my son can work with great tutors from all over the country. He's already asked me to find him an online Spanish tutor. I have been more than impressed with WyzAnt's selection of tutors and how easy it is to set things up and pay online. I only wish we had started earlier.

It was a shock to learn that our youngest wasn't doing well in school. We had so many questions - the first being: what can we do to help him? WyzAnt is very unique in that you are able to find certified teachers for various subjects, within your community. With that type of resource, you are able to filter, interview and find a great tutor, that is a great fit for your child. I would highly recommend the use of this website. Payment for tutoring sessions is set up with your approval for payment. After each tutoring lesson, I receive an update on my child's progress and what the lesson plan will be for the next tutoring session. I also receive a gentle reminder as to the time, date & location of the next session.

I have used WyzAnt twice to locate a French tutor. In each case, I have been able to identify the individual that best meets my needs and in both cases, I was extremely satisfied with the tutors. Alex E. is the only tutor we have used through WyzAnt because he turned out to be a perfect match for knowing computer science AND math, and was VERY effective at teaching both to clear up concepts, work on problems and give the skills to tackle the next tests to pass. Found a great tutor right away!
I was skeptical of the site after reading about other sites' problems, unauthorized or difficult to remove charges. I had never sought out tutoring either out of center or online. I was even expecting a hidden fee in there somewhere as per usual with many businesses like this, but I went to head and signed up and started the process because my 6th grader needed some help! I got several responses right away and found the tutor we selected quickly. When tutor schedules the lesson, WyzAnt confirms with me via email. Rescheduling a lesson is easy, and after the lesson is complete WyzAnt confirms with me this also. I'm perfectly satisfied!
Love our tutor and love WyzAnt
My experience with WyzAnt has been great! I enjoy receiving updates from my son's tutor and having the amount automatically withdrawn. I get notifications of when the payment will be coming out and I am able to log in and view the lesson history. It has been great to provide this information to my son's teacher. Everything has been with such smoothness and ease!!
Easy to set up tutoring outside of school!
I have my son working with two different tutors on various subjects. The tutors are easy to get in touch with and work well with my son. We are able to work out a schedule that works for us and it's great that the billing is electronic.
Just what you need, right when you need it!
I spent weeks trying to find a tutor, and then found WyzAnt! Being able to read the biographies, see that the background checks had been completed, and get in touch with prospective tutors before committing to a very important relationship (and starting all over) is a gift! The biographical information provided makes it so easy to narrow down the search for a good match, as does having the geographical boundaries of the tutor ahead of time. Being able to have the first session, and assess the fit, was terrific. Setting up a payment method keeps the business side out of the tutoring, which keeps the tutoring time discussions based on what they should be on: helping your child learn! I have verbally recommended WyzAnt, and our tutor, on numerous occasions in these first 3 weeks. Both my child and I are grateful to have discovered the service, and our tutor!

My tutor Jon W. has been absolutely phenomenal! I have tried other tutors in the past and have not experienced any like this! Jon's style and approach is incredibly professional and he identified my learning style, assessed my academic needs and scrupulously created a detailed plan to help me execute my academic goal within a time frame that I set for my self within our first two meetings. All communications with Jon, either in person, email or phone call are always on point. This guy does not miss a beat and he is passionate about teaching and helping students reach there academic goals. I am so grateful to WyzAnt for helping me find my tutor and to Mr. W. for helping me embark on my academic goals with his exceptional knowledge and ability to clarify mathematics in a way that it is no longer hieroglyphics but something I can comprehend and apply to real life applications. Excellent tutor
My son has always found school very easy, until 8th grade honors math (aka algebra). This was very frustrating for him. We had him stay after school with other students to work with the teacher, and we used a website for extra practice. It wasn't until we hired the tutor on WyzAnt that he starting rebuilding his confidence level. The teacher has recently remarked that he was more attentive and doing better. Best decision I've made in a while!

Tutor in One Day!
WyzAnt has saved us three times now. My daughter is a great student, but her present class is not really being taught. Let's just leave it at that. She has needed a tutor within 24 hours each time, and each time we have been able to get a fabulous tutor in a crunch! WyzAnt is a great resource and we are quite pleased.

A convenient way to locate a tutor in a certain geographical region. I was able to locate one in our town very easily. Payment system is very convenient. Tutor does not have to handle payments, as it is all done online. Having to cancel 24 hours before (the tutor's cancellation policy) is not very practical though.

WyzAnt made it easy to filter the results to find a tutor that fit my specific needs. I was in need of help with Trigonometry. I searched for tutors in that subject area and chose a wonderful tutor, Ben D. He was patient, and easy to understand. Easy Process
We have had a great experience so far with WyzAnt. I really like the pay as you go option. Other services require payment upfront and select a tutor for you. I like being able to view the pictures and profile of available tutors. Knowing where they are based is helpful too. Being able to communicate with them via email is a bonus!
Busy Mom's Best Friend
Before I knew about WyzAnt, It would take me months to find a good tutor. I was looking at boards, search engines, taking word-of-mouth recommendations, etc. and crossing my fingers the person was trustworthy and reliable. WyzAnt has really thought this whole thing out. Background checks are either already in place or easily available; most of the tutors are willing to travel (which is friggin' AWESOME, by the way) and affordable, too! And I don't have to remember to go to the ATM before the tutoring session. The money comes out of my account automatically, so I don't even have to think about it. WyzAnt thought of everything.

I found a terrific tutor and we worked together for several months before he moved. I am thrilled that WyzAnt launched an online tutoring system, because now we can continue our sessions! The system is very easy to use. There is a large shared "whiteboard," a chat box, and audio and video feeds, if you wish to use them. I love it and highly recommend it!

Top Rate Experience
My second grade daughter has made great improvements in reading in math. We started off with 2 sessions a week and have seen improvements in the classroom with both skills and have reduced the sessions to one day a week. My daughter just love her sessions with Mrs. M. She said, "Mom, everything seems easier for me in the classroom, but I don't want to stop working with Mrs. M."
All Around Great Experience.
I initially had some difficulty connecting with a tutor but that was primarily due the preferences of my daughter and it was the middle of the Christmas Holidays. I had many prompt responses from tutors and finally chose a great one. The entire enrollment, payment and communication system is seamless and easy to navigate. I set up payment with PayPal and was never surprised about payment amounts or times, due the the great communications from Wyzant. Would highly recommend this service to anyone. She passed the test - would have failed her Algebra II final without the help.
Tutor Easily Found
I came to your site looking for an algebra I tutor for my grandson. After reviewing the information given, I selected Dr. Lewis H. I liked the idea of making a deposit from which the tutor could draw after each session. I particularly liked the discount given if you made a larger deposit. Dr. H. has been especially good and my grandson learned a lot after the first two sessions.
