Tutor experience
Finding a tutor on Wyzant was easy process. Lessons with Jordan have been very good. Tutor is patient, explains content very well so I have a really good understanding of material. Always very punctual and very professional. I would certainly recommen to anyone looking for private lessons.

Successful Tutor Search
My college freshman was taking a summer chemistry course that he dropped during the second semester. He knew he would need a tutor, so we contacted the local university to see if he could sit in on their study session. That was not an option, so I decided to search online for a tutor and found WyzAnt. After emailing several teachers, we settled on a tutor that has been tremendous help. They meet at a neutral locations (library) and his tutor is very personable and is great at helping with concepts and homework. The price is well worth it! I will definitely recommend WyzAnt to anyone.

Great Tutor Search and Selection
I was trying to find a tutor to prepare my daughter for SAT testing and specifically for math studies. She is a senior and wants to enter a four year university. Through WyzAnt, I was able to research several different tutors who have the experience and knowledge in the specific field we were looking for. The tutor we found, Niven, turned out to be perfect! She relates well with my daughter, she's patient, very flexible with scheduling, and she has the exact background and experience we were looking for. Very happy with WyzAnt so far...
I was relieved when I found a statistics tutor on WyzAnt. I heard horror stories about the difficulty of the course from other students. I found a tutor knowledgeable in this area. She has been very helpful. I'm glad that she is reliable and keeps the appointment time. I'm getting through the class pretty good and hope to get an A out of the course. I would recommend WyzAnt.
Great Tutor and Very Knowledgeable of Subject
Thanks to Liz, I was able to past my Physics course! I even got a decent grade, a B-!!! This would not have been possible, without here help. She is very professional, and very knowledgeable about physics, and probably any other subject she is offering help for. Believe me, just the word "Physics" used to gave me nightmare. But after my lessons with Liz, I'm no longer afraid and feel pretty confidence I have a solid understanding of the material. If you need help, give her a try...I am sure you will not be disappointed.

I have found that WyzAnt is very easy and have a great selection of tutors trained in various subjects. I found a tutor for language and have found the experience and my tutor both incredibly helpful and my tutor was very well prepared. It has made me look forward to my classes that I used to dread attending! All in all it has been a great experience! Also, paying through the website it really easy and nice because you don't have to deal with checks or payment during each lesson.
Bargin and Quality
Over the weekend I visited Huntington Learning Center, they wanted over $4300.00 for 68 hrs of instructions to prep my brother for the SAT's I contacted Wyzant having personally used them in the past and I was blessed to have found Raj who is more than qualified and was able to come to our home. He fees were reasonable (a bargin compared to the big box tutoring store)in addition, he is professional, very knowledgeable, teaches both strategy as well as application. My brother says, "he's cool", we are hands down pleased that we found an affordable solution without sacraficing quality in fact, I think we are getting more and we will continue services with Raj and rest assured my brother will be successful with the SAT as he will be well prepared thanks to Raj and Wyzant. Wide choice of local tutors and great response to my search.
I found WyzAnt via google, and was able to feed in my post code and find a selection of local tutors. I was impressed that I could do a background check on each tutor and that they each listed a short bio on the site. Great program overall!
First off, Samia, our tutor has been fantastic so far. She demonstrates mastery of the algebra II concepts. She has been teaching my son in a way that helps him to comprehend the equations and concepts. He is able to work through his homework more efficiently than before Samia.(In 3 sessions AND she comes to the house!) We are looking forward to continued success with the tutoring. With regard to the WyzAnt program, I was skeptical when I first looked into it. I googled "math tutor in mesa" and WyzAnt came up, along with other options. I chose to look into WyzAnt. Awesome Tutor and Website!!!
I was in desperate need to find some help for my daughter, who's a Senior and at high risk to not Graduate with her classmates due to failing her TAKS Math Test 5 times. She was also failing her Algebra II class with a 38 coming near to the end of the six weeks. I had reached out to her Algebra II teacher, TAKS Math Teacher and her school counselor. They all recommended before/after school tutoring but even with all of the extra help, she still failed the TAKS Math test in February. A co-worker suggested to look into a Private Tutor,I thought it couldn't hurt but only help right? but I was also told be ready to payout some Big Bucks. As a parent your willing to do whatever it takes to help your child in time of desperate need. I started to look into websites for private tutoring services and came across WyzAnt. I had never heard of this company nor did any of my fellow co-workers. I admit, I was uncertain and fearful of what I may end up with? Was I going to get ripped off? Who are these tutors? Do they do background checks? How much was this going to cost? After a few moments thinking about my daughter's stress level, hearing her up late at night not able to sleep and hearing the words, "I'm a failure", I took a leap of faith and registered. I was very impressed with the wide selection of tutors in our area and the quick response from one in particular, "Shannon A.". She was very compassionate and she heard my cry for HELP! After the first day of tutoring, my daughter and I both felt a huge sigh of relief. Finally, someone who can actually help! After two days of tutoring, my daughter started to understand her Math and after 2 weeks of tutoring, she managed to raise a 38 average to a 71 and passed her Algebra II class for the six weeks. My daughter's hard work,determination and with Shannon's help, I strongly believe my daughter will pass her TAKS Math next week. I will be forever grateful to Shannon and WyzAnt providing something that no one else could, "Hope". I'm even more surprised, I actually could afford the cost for the tutoring! I would highly recommend any parent or student to take a leap of faith and make the best investment ever with WyzAnt.
Easier website
I love your website and think it's a great idea. I think your website could be easier to use though. For example, I searched out tutors and when I messaged them I clicked the box that would put a bulletin out for other tutors to read so they could contact me as well. Now that I have someone there is no way (or I cant find it) to take down the bulletin so other tutors will quit contacting me. I also had trouble figuring out the back ground check.

My families experience with the web interactive web site was a pleasant one. We did not decide on a tutor right away and when we did decide on one a schedules conflicted but with grace and conviction we (parents and tutor)were able to coordinate or efforts to get one 12th grader caught up and on par with her Algebra II class. Found the Tutor we wanted
WyzAnt helped me to locate a local tutor for the SAT math section. Once we could communicate with the tutor, the process was very easy. The tutor we picked based on the profile ended up being a perfect match for my son. The Material covered was on point and the time spent for his study needs and attention span was appropriate. On top of knowing the subject and the tricks of the test, the tutor spent time on test taking skills and filling in the missing educational gaps. The ease with which we located the right tutor at the right time really helped my son prepare for the next SAT. The results are yet to be seen, and certainly SAT performance is up to the kid, not the tutor!

Our tutor is Ho and he is wonderful. My son has improved 100% in 3 lessons. After his first lesson in Geometry with Ho, my son went from failing to an A. Ho is terrific in every way. Glad we found WyzAnt, thrilled we found Ho with only regret that we did not find this service earlier. I would highly recommend this service as it is very customer (parent) oriented with updates after each lesson. After each tutoring session, we have received a nice summary of what our daughter did with the tutor and the effort which she put forth. Nice...because we don't need to hover to find out! I found a wonderful tutor for my two teenage daughter's using WyzAnt. She is knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. It was very simple to use the WyzAnt search and they have a large selection of tutors. I liked that fact that I could search based on the subject's my children needed help in and the amount of money I could afford to pay. Overall it has been a great experience using WyzAnt. Great Website. Easy to use, lots of tutors, geographically convenient, terms negotiable. Love it! Wyzant is wise. We needed a tutor for our 7 and 10 year old for summer remediation and the process was so painless with Wyzant. Easy to use
I was at a loss to find a tutor for my child as I didn't know anyone who used a tutor. I checked online to see what was available and came across WyzAnt. The process was straightforward (my request was responded to by several tutors) and the final choice was easy after reading his profile and experiencing the first lesson. I wish I had started the process a whole lot earlier!
First take on WyzAnt
When I asked my wife if she had found a Tutor for my 17 year old son she related the usual trials, ask a friend, so and so says this person is great but not taking any more students, this great tutor moved away, posted for a tutor on the college bulletin board but the tutor never showed up, etc. I started searching for tutor resources on the internet and stumbled upon your great service. Within a few days of posting I had 5 replies, after some quick phone interviews, I was able to land a fantastic tutor. The tutors come to your house or will meet the student at a public library. This was a huge benefit after years of shuttling my son to tutors all over the area (some as far as 45 minute drives each way). More time for my son, more time for my family to be together, less cost of gas,etc. But most importantly more time for my son to be tutored! The tutors charges are very reasonable, and after making some scheduling commitments it was easy to buy a block of dollars to cover the tutors cost at a discount. I am already referring all of the parents I know to your great resource. the need is out there, the supply of tutors is out there, This allows a very safe and convenient way to connect us.

We placed money in the account and it was drawn down after each tutoring session. We had some cash in the account at the end and it was refunded to us immediately. No problems whatsoever. I would use Wyzant's services again.

I have been pleased with my experience with WyzAnt so far, it's very easy to get information on qualified tutors in my area. We are very happy with our choice of tutors. Gerald is always prompt and prepared. He is very patient with my daughter and I can not wait to see how my daughter's math grade has improved.

Great Tutor Search and Selection
My experience with WyzAnt has been awesome. I knew that my granddaughter needed a strong tutor in Science. I started searching the Web to find a Science Taks Tutor. I had never heard of WyzAnt before. When I searched for what I needed, WyzAnt came up. I read the background of Ame and knew she was who my granddaughter needed to help her pass her test. Once she and I met Ame, I knew on our first lesson that we had found the best. I knew that my granddaughter could pass the test but she needed someone who would make her believe it and to also believe in her self and this is exactly what Ame has done. I am pleased with the payment process and extremely pleased with our tutor.
Great way to locate the right tutor.
So far so good, I located my daughter's tutor by choosing from many responses to my search. I felt she was the best candidate based on her own unique experience with teaching kids/teens. My 13 year old loves her teaching styles, and tells me she GETS IT. I'm grateful to have found Marianne. The set up payments are easy, and the package discounts are great. I would reccommend this program to all parents who's kids are struggling or want to advance (in my daughter's case) in a subject.
