Found a Gem of a Tutor
I was worried about my sons because they would be the first in our family to graduate high school and go to college. I couldn't help prepare them, so I went onto this website to find someone who could. It was so easy to just type in my zip code and have my choice of all kinds of tutors. I could window shop and email prospective tutors to my heart's delight before I found the one I was looking for. Once I found "the one," I was not disappointed.

Really Talented Range of Qualified Tutors
Not ever having heard of WyzAnt, I was surprised by not only how easily I could find and choose from a wide range of tutors specializing in a wide range of subjects. One can choose by subject, level of qualification, fee, and location. When a contact is made a response is prompt. The pre-packages that can be purchased provides a very reasonable discount. I was more than happy with my choice of tutor and will choose him again when I need a refresher or continuing lessons.

Website Very Helpful
Several tutors responded to our request. The one that we chose has been very helpful. My son has ADHD and the tutor has been able to engage my son in the learning process. It is a real pleasure to witness the interaction and see that my son is learning material that he is unable to learn in school. This has been a very rewarding experience. I wish that I would have made this decision earlier!

Tutor Search and Experience
I spent less than 5 minutes on September 14, 2011 reviewing qualified math tutors to help our college freshman. The tutor returned my email promptly when contacted through WyzAnt's email system. I was able to prepay a 10 hour block of lessons on September 15th. Tutoring sessions were held in two hour blocks on Saturday the 17th and Sunday the 18th, for a total of 6 hours. Tutor and student will spend the remaining 4 hours between the 19th and 21st preparing for the first big test on September 22nd, 2011. I receive a review of the lesson after each session so I know what progress is being made. So far, everything I have done with WyzAnt has gone smoothly and without any problems. I am happy, our student is happy and I DON'T write reviews, because many of them don't seem real. My good experience doesn't mean yours is guaranteed to be good, but in this case, WyzAnt has done their job reviewing the qualifications of the tutor, and she is top notch.

Knowledgeable Tutor
We've been pleased with the tutor we found for AP Calculus. My daughter wanted help with learning topics on a more conceptual level and her tutor has been great for that. The tutor presents information with a different approach than that used by the classroom teacher, which helps my daughter to have a deeper understanding of the material. I like that our tutor has been very flexible and will meet my daughter on an as needed basis. I also like that we can text the tutor to set up appointments. Overall we've been very happy with the arrangements.

Many skilled tutors to choose from
I found the experience easy in terms of finding a tutor to work with my son. The tutor did an assessment prior to getting started so she knew what he needed the most help with. She has many different strategies so he is not bored. We are very pleased so far after three sessions. I have not needed customer service so can't speak to that. I'm impressed with the dedication and flexibility of our tutor. I would recommend wyzant to others for sure.

Quality tutors and easy to use website!
I am thrilled with my recent experience with Wyzant! I was able to find an extremely qualified Italian tutor who was fluent in Italian and has extensive experience as a language tutor. Not only did she provide me with important phrases and words for my trip, but she also gave me great tips on the culture and cities I was visiting. I was also impressed with the ease in which I found a tutor and was able to arrange a tutoring session through the website!

Good tutor search website!
At first I was hesitant to use the website since I found it in a Google search and was leery of the legitimacy of the site. After speaking with custom service and e-mailing prospective tutors, I decided to give it a try. I liked being able to read a profile on potential tutors, and the ability to contact them before making a selection. We made a list of the tutors that most interested us and were within our budget. When I contacted the first tutor on my list, I didn't hear back from them for several days, but I did have WyzAnt post a message to their boards for other tutors to contact me if they were available. Well, the second tutor from our list contacted us almost immediately. Since we wanted to get started that weekend, we decided to give him a try. It worked well in terms of proximity, days available, and price. This tutor is even a graduate of the same high school as my daughter, so he is familiar with the teachers, curriculum, and structure of the math program. I don't know if he is the best tutor for my daughter, but he is helping her understand the Pre-Calculus work, and at a very reasonable price. I also like that he is willing to work in our home and around my daughter's sports schedule, so there is NO travel required. Some of the other prospective tutors I was in contact with were NOT willing to travel outside of certain neighborhoods or wanted to meet at the library, which wasn't always going to be conducive to my daughter's schedule. I also like that WyzAnt offers tutors in many price ranges, and allows me to "pay as we use" or offers "bulk packaging" of hours. This makes it economically feasible for those of us on a budget who cannot afford to pay out thousands of dollars in advance like places such as Sylvan require. Also, I like the option to use debit or credit cards to pay for the tutoring sessions. Most individual tutors only accept cash or check. WyzAnt does pro-rate their tutor fees, so if you need an extra half hour or quarter hour you only get charged for the portion of the hourly fee instead of another complete hour. Overall, I have had a good experience with WyzAnt thus far, and hope it will continue to be valuable to me as my children advance in their coursework and begin taking the challenging math and science classes. I would definitely recommend WyzAnt to anyone looking for a tutor at reasonable rates.
WyzAnt is Great!
We've been very pleased with our WyzAnt experience and are recommending it to other parents. We found a great tutor who did an excellent job elevating our son's math skills. The site was really easy to use and I was pleased to see so many tutors in our area. I appreciate that students/parents can review the tutors so we saw satisfaction before choosing. I also like that we were able to pay in advance to have credits in the account so we didn't have to fumble with payments direct to our tutor. When tutoring was complete and we ended up with credits in the account, our refund was processed quickly and painlessly. If we ever need tutoring services again we're coming to WyzAnt!
Great Tutor Search and Selection
I have loved this service. It is not easy to find tutors in "your" area. My schedule is very busy and to be able to just set at a computer and in minutes have a reputable source was great! It has been so convenient, she comes to our home, I love that. She is knowledgeable in a variety of subjects, which has really helped. She works well with my child, and they get a lot accomplished. Excellent Tutor
I am thrilled with the tutor we found for our daughter using WyzAnt. Our search for a "Math SAT tutor" provided us with 5 or 6 possible tutors and the person we chose turned out to be professional, courteous, prompt and most of all has great communication with our daughter. The billing is easy. WyzAnt is a great service!
Excellent program.
Overall, the program is excellent and our son has improved on his grade. The Precalculus tutor, Laura, did an excellent job and communicated with the parents on the progress and the results are showing in our son's grades and class.
Convenient, Helpful Service
WyzAnt has been extremely helpful from the beginning. The wide selection of experienced tutors was very helpful and made it easy for us to find a tutor specializing in the areas we were searching for. It was comforting to receive a background check on the tutor. WyzAnt is great at communicating with the customers, and receiving a weekly assessment of the tutoring session helps us easily track our child's progress. The payment process is super easy. I like the fact that I don't have to worry about "remembering" to bring money to pay the tutor -- WyzAnt takes care of that process for me. I love WyzAnt and would definitely recommend it to others.

Great tutor
Wyzant has worked out better than I had hoped for. The tutor I found, John B, has been better than great. My time with him on a weekly basis has been invaluable to my learning experience in calculus 2 and physics. Using Wyzant has been extremely easy too. I love how I can buy discounted hours and it's withdrawn from my account automatically. It makes life very easy.

This was my first time searching for a tutor via the internet. I was purchasing a telescope for my boyfriend and needed an astronomer to not only help him set the new telescope up but to also help him to chart the skies. Terry was truly a God-send! He helped with everything, from the selection of the scope, to the location for us to go to in order to do some stargazing. It rained on the day that we had scheduled to meet and set the scope up, but he (and his wife) were troopers and came anyway. We were able to set up the telescope and get a look at the beautiful moon. He is truly an asset to your organization and you are lucky to have him on your team! Thanks again Terry:)

I Love WyzAnt! I never new this website existed until I started searching for private tutors. I'm so glad I found this website, it saved me a lot of money. It's good to know that whenever I need a tutor, I can just look on WyzAnt. I'm also very impressed with the knowledge that the tutors have about the subjects they're teaching. Great List of Tutors
The list of tutors for chemistry is impressive. We found an excellent tutor for my daughter in only 2 days. She is only 13 and completed a full semester of high school chemistry for an on line course in only 3 weeks, thanks to her great tutor!!!!

We have been very happy with our tutor, Melissa. She also has been a good inspiration to my niece, who is being tutored. I also was happy with the ease of finding a tutor in the Prescott area that is knowledgeable in ASVAB. It has been very worth the time and money spent.
Extraordinary tutors
I presently use two tutors from WyzAnt and they have been a God send. My child has learned so much and the tutors are so patient and take time to break down everything she does not understand. I highly recommend tutors from this site because they really love what they do. I can hear it each time they go over assignments and repeat items my child needs to understand. The tutors are always on top of their subjects and i am tickled to death when i hear my child say, "Oh, now i get it". Thank You for having tutors available in various subjects. Excellent Tutor - Deirdre D
Deidre is an excellent tutor, very patient and positive. She was able to assess my weaknesses in Greek Grammar studies and therefore help me overcome areas of frustration. Deirdre guided me step by step in each sentence construction, breaking it down so that I was able to overcome areas of difficulty. She also introduced me to resources so that I am able to improve and understand my studies better. I will definitely work with Deidre when in need, she is quick to contact you and ready to assist her student whenever she can. Great tutor and program
We are very pleased with our experience with WyzAnt thus far. Sharon N. is a very caring and conscientious tutor, who put in extra effort with our son. She seems to take this task personally to get our son over the hump with math. I also love the easy payment system, since we don't have to worry about writing out a check every time she comes.

This has been a good experience. I did not know how I would find a tutor for my great grandson in Waterloo, New York. WyzAnt popped up and it has been a very easy and successful process. William C has been a good tutor for my great grandson. He is teaching him just what he needs for the greater demands of the middle school curriculum.

Great resource but still need improve the website
When I searched a tutor, I found after I saw details on a specific tutor and wanted go back the page I left, but it always brought me back to the very beginning. It was annoying and not use friendly design. Also after I provided feedback (class review) on my tutor, the feedback didn't show up on my tutor personal page. It went to a big pool of "Reviews & Testimonials" under "Resources" tab. It is not good to promote the tutor as well as overall business.

I have been pleased with the results of finding a tutor through WyzAnt. I have never used a website to find a tutor, and I will recommend WyzAnt to others when I have the opportunity. The website was very helpful and easy to navigate during my search for a tutor. I especially found the profiles of the tutors helpful to help me match up the tutor's skill to what I needed as well as seeing the miles that the tutor was willing to travel. Finding a tutor to fit my schedule was easy once I got started. The tutors promptly responded to my email much quicker than I thought. This made the process much smoother and the selection faster. I found the payment for the lessons to be an efficient way to handle paying the tutor. I am very pleased with the tutor I selected. He is very knowledgeable, well prepared, is concerned that the student understands the material, reviews the material at the end of the lesson, gives homework assignments, and quizzes periodically so he can see where the student needs further instruction during his learning process. The customer support and feedback after each lesson is good and keeps me informed of the progress. So far, this has been a good experience.
