My experience with WyzAnt has been very good. In researching tutoring options, WyzAnt was one of the first that came up in my online search and turned out to be the best value as well as the easiest to use website. Finding a tutor with the right specifications we were looking for (subject, location, qualifications) took less then 10 minutes. The tutor, Ryan B., is working out very well. I originally asked for his help with my older son but have since used his help with my daughter as well. His skill and ability to teach what he knows is terrific. He is also great with communication, scheduling and promptness. He also gives a very clear review of the tutoring sessions in a follow up e-mail. I would highly recommend WyzAnt and Ryan B. to any who ask and even those who don't!

Great Experience
I have used WyzAnt three times for tutors to help my daughter in various areas at the college level such as Calculus, Chemistry and Genetics. So far, I have been very pleased with the high caliber of tutors and their professionalism. They have all been very flexible in scheduling around her availability. I have also been very impressed by the quick response whenever a tutoring inquiry is made. I highly recommend this tutoring network.

EXCELLENT MATHS TUTOR
We used Wyzant to locate a maths tutor for our daughter. Wyzant website made the search very easy and payment is also straightforward. We are very pleased with the tutor and most importantly, our daughter actually looks forward to the sessions!
finding a good fit was easier than we expected
We were at a loss where to begin looking for a tutor. Our child is in a private school 20 miles in town, and the school's suggestions were not logistically convenient. We googled/binged for local tutors. WyzAnt was represented well. The site was easily maneuverable and we found two tutors that looked like they might help. After meeting both, my child found a good fit and is continuing with her on a weekly basis. We paid for a block of lessons, which gave us a nice discount - a bonus we really appreciate.
Very positive experience
Last night was our fourth tutoring session, and I am starting to notice some improvement in my son's attitude towards homework math especially. Our tutor has been great.

Need Higher Level Tutors
Dear WyzAnt Administrator; Finding a tutor on your website, the payment process, customer support is all great. I think you have set up a great system and response is speedy. you have a very large selection of tutors all over with a diversity of backgrounds. I really appreciated that. I have met with two tutors, Priya & Robert Z. who are both very nice, very intelligent, very professional and engaging individuals. Both were prompt in meeting times. I would highly recommend them to anyone as tutors. Unfortunately, it is difficult to find tutors who are knowledgable in the area of neuroscience or neurogenetics, so I have not been able to find any tutors suitable for the level of expertise that I need. As a marketing advantage, you really should consider and seek out tutors that are for higher level courses so that individuals like myself can benefit from these tutors. I did not find any in my searches that matched my needs. I have a bachelor's, masters and a doctorate degree, but it had been 12 years since I was in graduate school and I needed someone with a high level understanding of statistical analyses specifically for the fields of neuroscience and neurogenetics. Since these fields are currently the norm and the wave of the future, it would behoove Wyzant to find tutors specializing in this areas. People returning to school for one reason or another are also most likely individuals who are able to afford your services. That's my line or free marketing advice : ) I that appreciate the service of WyzAnt in general and I would recommend it to others based on specific level needed.
Good Place to Find a Qualified Tutor
Easy to use, competent tutors and timely response. Our tutor has been excellent. Our son is already gaining more confidence in his school work and in himself.

Best idea I have come across
I was really worried about finding a tutor for my college age daughter, due to her work and class schedule she only has a small window of time for tutoring. I contacted 3 tutors using Wyzant and got immediate feedback from 2 of the 3. After learning that one of the 3 could fit her in it has been smooth sailing since then. The communication is great, the payment easy and feedback is awesome. I would have no problem recommending this program to anyone.
Great tutor
I Found this site by a google search of Math tutor in Plano Texas, I was thrilled to find this site. John Mow is wonderful and the perfect fit for my child. Was a little concern on giving my billing info before talking to tutor. I did not understand why or if you would bill my account first. Other than that all has been great and I have told several friends about this site. I work in a small private school and we are always in need of tutors. I loved seeing the profile and picture of tutors It really helps with the selection.

As a graduate student in sociology, I learned that one of the huge contributors to educational inequality is the "summer learning gap." It is a gap that many children in the U.S. experience after their first summer out of school. Put simply, the "gap" is a result of many students forgetting what they learned over the summer months. If you ask any teacher, it is very challenging to catch these students up once they start school again. Those students who are exposed to learning opportunities over the summer in the form of camps, activities and tutoring, minimize this summer learning gap. In hopes to mitigate the effects of the summer learning gap, I was hoping to find some kind of tutoring service. After researching the well-known "learning centers," I was discouraged by many of the reviews I read online and the overall experience of feeling like I was being sold a timeshare. That's when I found WyzAnt and I could not be more pleased! I was able to look through numerous profiles and email with many different tutors until I found what I hoped to be the right fit. Fortunately for our family, we struck gold on the first try. Margaret H. is amazing with my very active 7 year old son. She was able to tell right away what he needed help in and develop lesson plans to strengthen those areas. His handwriting is still strong and he is slowly but surely mastering phonics and becoming a more confident reader. She is very patient and knows how to keep his attention. WyzAnt allowed me to invest in my son rather than invest in a corporation that would have transformed my son into a number. Thank your for this service! It is worth every penny!

Very Helpful Tutoring Experience
Wyzant provided an easy method of searching for a competent tutor. I prepaid for lessons which were deducted after each tutoring session so I did not have to think about making payments later. The tutor I selected, Patricia H was remarkable. We initially met so she could assess my needs and lessons began immediately. Her knowledge was impressive and teaching style comprehensive. I would definitely use Wyzant again and suggest it to others.
Pretty easy to use
I found Wyzant easy to use. After reviewing the info on several tutors, I selected one to contact. That led to another half dozen contacted me (which was not necessary and a bit annoying, although had the one I contacted not worked out, I might have tried one of the others). Rosie has been easy to work with, and my daughter really likes her help. We'll learn more about the effectiveness of the tutoring when we see how a couple of tests and how homework goes. I appreciated having WyzAnt as a resource. I have a little concern about how big the percentage of the fee is that WyzAnt keeps however. It seems very high, compared to the value-added from the tutor versus the value-added from WyzAnt. Please consider lowering your percentage.

For me, WyzAnt was a wise decision. Their pre-screened list of tutors, with varying levels of expertise, gave me the opportunity to select from a wide range of experts. WyzAnt did the footwork, searching and screening of tutors that would have cost me a lot of time and money. When we were in need of a tutor for my daughter I came upon Wyzant. I enjoyed being able to read through the tutors bios and interests. It helped me narrow down who would be the right tutor for my 8th grader. It is nice to be able to correspond with the tutors before making a final decision. It is not only based on the specific abilities they have but their availability. Being able to see their schedules on the site also helped me narrow it down to my top 3. I felt that the more information the tutor had posted about themselves helped me figure out who to choose. The website is extremely user friendly. I was able to find several teachers in my area within seconds. The teacher I chose to contact wrote me back quickly and offered a flexible schedule. So many great tutors from which to choose!
My daughter missed the last 1 1/2 months of school due to illness. She needed to learn a chapter of trigonometry and take a test to finish the year, and we were on a bit of a tight schedule. I sent out one request and clicked so others could respond. I found 3 tutors who were able and willing to dedicate the time to get her to the level at which she needs to be. Sierra is great at teaching the concepts and at keeping her on track to complete the work and be prepared to test.

Great Tutor
My son Kyle took the ASVAB test for the Air Force. On his first try he was 6 points shy of passing the exam. He had to wait 30 days before he could retest. Kyle wanted to get tutor in those 30 days and thats when I found Matt T with Wyzant. Matt worked with Kyle twice a week for a month. In that month not only did Matt help Kyle understand the material he also better prepared him for the test. Matt gave my son the confidence he lacked when taking the test the first time. The second time Kyle took the test he scored 30 points higher. I highly recommend Matt to anyone having difficulties and insecurities with any subject or test. I can't believe I have struggled looking for tutors for years. This has been so convenient and beneficial for my son. Too bad I waited until my second child was a sophomore in high school to find your service. The tutor has been great and very professional. Payment and scheduling are convenient and easy. Happy with the choices of tutors!
I have been very happy with the number and variety of choices for tutors. We have used Physics tutors and Spanish tutors. Each time the tutors we choose were top quality and related very well with our son. I love the feature of banking the money in your account and then it is withdrawn as needed. This allows you to save when you have the extra money.

Overall experience with Wyzant
Glad I found your company and the tutor we ended up with. We were desperate to find a certified statistics tutor for my daughter who was taking a dual-enrolled statistics class. Just googled 'stat tutor in Melbourne Fl' and WyzAnt came up. Ended up with David B, cannot praise him enough for how he tutored. My daughter was considering withdrawing from the class but ended up staying in and getting the highest grade in the class. She is not a math/science person but can do very well with the right teacher, and David was very good with how he tutored. When I first went on to wyzant to find a tutor, I read all of the tutor profiles very carefully before I contacted David. I would have liked to be able to read more comments; I did take the 5 star rating into consideration, but comments would have carried more weight with me, and it looks like only one review is posted, so I went in and reviewed/changed mine as we ended up having 10 tutoring sessions. I would have liked to have had a comment/review posted for each session. Other than that, everything else on the site was very clear and organized very well, liked that certified subjects were in bold, and background check was done. Overall very happy with experience.
Great Referral & Experience
I connected with a very good, resonably priced tutor, and the 1st 3 lessons have been challanging (supposed to be), but I am progressing. My tutor adapted to my learning strengths and weaknesses and is flexible about meeting. The time keeping form is quite easy, and the payment/billing experience with Wyzant has been without incidence and simple.

I really found using WyzAnt an easy site to use and browse for tutors. Each tutor has their bios, reviews, and what they specialize in. If you pick a tutor and if he/she is not a good fit for your child you can search and select another tutor through their website. Their billing system is easy and convenient and you are able to review all your transactions and remaining balance. Also it is great to have discounts based on the package you chose. So far I am very happy with WyzAnt!
