Great Place To Find A Great Tutor
Everything great! the process is simple and fast! And we've got great tutor! My daughter is happy and she understands the subject even better.
Very pleased with the Wyzant experience
The experience of setting up an account and finding an appropriate tutor for our son has been very straight forward. Once chosen, the tutor selected has been very professional and well versed in his subject. We are very pleased with the entire process.
Great tutor search and selection
We've found a great tutor for our daughter. Once we mastered the details of the site everything has gone smoothly. The only thing on the logistical side is that we registered one email with the account. That email is forwarded to another email account. When we answered the tutor from the second site, we could only do it inside of wyzant. That was awkward. We didn't realize that we should have used the 2nd email to avoid confusion and delay at our end when we registered for the account. Perhaps that was clear, but we missed it. Everything else is great.

I live in California but wanted to find a tutor for my niece in Las Vegas! WyzAnt was extremely helpful for me to find an excellent, efficient and caring tutor for my niece. I felt like I was holding my breath but by WyzAnt allowing me to find a tutor based upon my specific needs it was great and I am able to relax knowing my niece is being taught by someone that cares! Found a Terrific Tutor
We found a terrific, local tutor who was able to guide us through some difficult geometry. Once we found the site, it was easy to do a search based on the criteria we were looking for. Would recommend WyzAnt because our experience with them was very good.

Tutor Search
I was a little hesitant at relying on the internet to find assistance with tutoring. However my experience has been extremely positive. I had inquired at school guidance and was given a very brief list of names, we tried word of mouth and the typical established Tutoring businesses of Kaplan and Revolution and found the costs eye opening. However, using this website I was connected to a private tutor that is patient and caring and has engaged my daughter with the subject very well. In my opinion the cost is just right. I feel the cost is completely in line with the experience and education of the tutor. WyzAnt offered lower cost tutors not as experienced which provided me the choice right for my situation and made me feel in control not stuck. I feel totally satisfied with the costs and ease of payment provided by the website. This one was a winning solution.

The process for searching was very simple. I begin looking for the tutor one week and my son begin his sessions the next week. The website is very informative and user friendly. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a tutor.

Easy to navigate and hire experience
Our tutoring sessions are still in progress and going fine. The tutor lets me know what my son has worked on in the last session and what he needs to work on through the website. We found a tutor that fit my son's needs, and it was an easy site to sign up for, hire, and pay for the tutoring. I will definitely use it when my other son gets ready to take the SAT's.
Great experience!
We recently signed up for Wyzant and were able to find a tutor for our daughter. She is great! My daughter works well with her and has been able to understand sometimes what may be difficult in class with other students. My daughters teach has told me she is impressed with the improvements made in such a short period of time. Our kids may have what it takes but sometimes the teachers do not have the time for one on one or the patience. I am grateful that I found our tutor on Wyzant and maintain her services as long as possible.
Great place to find a good Tutor!
Very pleased with the results! I definitely would recommend WyzAnt! I had so many qualified teachers responding to my request to tutor a young 9 year old who is a SPEC. ED. student and needs serious help with reading. He is very bright on many subjects but needs someone to work with him who is qualified working with young spec. ed. subjects and also has a lot of patience. Many of the teachers who responded were more than willing to tutor him and more than qualified. I believe that WyzAnt is wonderful site to find professional teacher.

Excellent Value, Wonderful Service!
I'm disabled, and find it extremely difficult to go out of the home to take classes on subjects that interest me. While the local community college is very wheelchair accessible, getting to the college is extremely difficult, requiring much paperwork and government intervention, just to arrange for a wheelchair-lift equipped ride. So when I wanted to get drawing lessons, the idea of a tutor that might come to ME instead was a godsend. The search engine worked flawlessly, and within a very few minutes, I had located a tutor who sounded enthusiastic about her ability to fit my needs. We schedule a time, and met for a first lesson. I was absolutely overjoyed at how wonderful the experience turned out! I learned more in that first hour than I had learned in months of poring over books too advanced for my level, or trying to deal with online sites that couldn't answer questions. She tailored the lesson to just what I needed to know, and to my ability as it stood. We've had two more lessons since then, and are having another next week. I don't plan to stop having them until she feels she can't teach me anything further, or until I feel I've caught up to the books I couldn't understand! I'm not only learning a lot, I'm enjoying the experience, getting good feedback -- critically important! -- and having my mistakes noticed and corrected. The one-on-one approach is truly the ideal classroom, just as President James Garfield once said -- a log with a pupil at one end, and a teacher at the other.

Not a lot of tutors in my area for the subject matter I desire but I found one that does online tutoring so it has been working out well. So far so good!

My child is failing Physics so I found a tutor on WyzAnt. I just want to say that after her first session with Joshua (WyzAnt tutor), she was so happy she did a little dance because she finally started to understand the subject. Great Tutor and Prompt Customer Support
My daughter's tutoring lessons seem to be coming along very well. I like when you prompt me about billing my Visa Card. I need to speak with my daughter more in depth about her tutor. My daughter said she was very nice and the most recent lesson was difficult but I think my daughter is learning and that's most important.

What a great website for tutors!
I'm so thankful i chose Wyzant to look for possible tutors in my area. What a difference the tutor i chose has made in my sons learning math. She totally helps him understand how to work out each problem and slow down and give himself time. She always comes prepared with work sheets that she knows he needs to practice on. Algebra 2 Tutor
I have been very pleased with our experience with WyzAnt. My son is enrolled in an online high school where he reads chapters and completes assignments. The teacher interaction was non existent and he was falling behind. He was totally lost in his Algebra 2 course. Our WyzAnt tutor has been a lifesaver. My son appears to be grasping the material and he looks forward to his tutoring sessions. He is more confident and tackling the assignments on his own. Great tutor
WyzAnt is an easy and reputable way to find a tutor near you. I'm using the site for a cosmetology tutor, to help me with the NYS practical exam. We set up times before she came, and she has been so helpful, knowledgeable, and prompt. The payment plan on Wyzant is very easy - we talk about the time she spent tutoring me, then she just deducts the time from my account. I would definitely use this service again!
Filling a need

I am sorry about the delay in reviewing WyzAnt system, I was very reluctant about using an internet company such as WyZant but I am learning more and more about how it works and I would not hesitate to recommend others to this site and I do plan to continue use WyZant in the future.

I obtained a latin tutor for my daughter and she has been wonderful. i am horrible at using a computer, so i called your phone number and talked to a wonderful person who helped my contact her. i will be needing at least a spanish tutor this summer to prepare for next year and into the fall and possibly a science tutor as my daughter takes only honors classes and plans to make only A's. i plan to only use WyzAnt for my tutors. Incredible Tutor
I had to find a tutor to help my daughter, who lives 7 hours away from me. I was a little skeptical about the service but I was a desperate dad who needed immediate help. WyzAnt allowed me to basically interview the candidates and select he/she who best suited not only my daughters learning style but her personality as well. My tutor was great and very accommodating. He went above and beyond to communicate his professional assessment of my daughters level of competence and made some great suggestions as to what would help her improve and gain a higher level of success. There is no second guessing; next year I'll be logging on to WyzAnt if my daughter encounters any subject matter that she can't tackle alone. Thanks WyzAnt!!!

Great Program!
I searched for a long time for a quality tutor to assist my son with Algebra II. I was beginning to loose hope that I would find one. I stumbled across this website and was hesitant to use the service. I felt more comfortable meeting a tutor face to face; this person will have direct contact with my child. As a last resort I decided to give it a try. The experience has been wonderful. My teenage son, who hates school, told me that he wished we would have found this tutor sooner. My son has had many tutors in the past and says that this is by far the best one he has had. He feels confident that his tutor knows the subject and is able to explain it to him in a manner that he understands. The entire experience has been Great. When I made my inquiry I received emails from prospective tutors very quickly, the first session was scheduled in less than a week, I know what is happening during the sessions, and the payment is incredibly easy. I feel I made the right choice by contacting WyzAnt for the extra help my son needed in school. My only regret is that I did not do it sooner. When we started looking for a tutor for our son who has Aspergers we weren't sure where to go. We had the opportunity to use a school tutor but my son wasn't comfortable with that. There was Sylvan but it was a long drive. We could have asked some of his older friends but we wanted someone with experience. I googled Algebra 2 tutors in my local area and I found WyzAnt. Here I could read local tutors bios and find a tutor that fit. We could see that they had been background checked, their cost and the area they tutored in. Through WyzAnt we found our tutor. He is AMAZING!!! He and my son connected right away and my son is learning so much and we've only had three lessons. I highly recommend this service!!!
Great source for finding good tutors
I'm new to this sort of search - I was very nervous about looking for an in-home tutor over the net. However, I found that WyzAnt's protections for the prospective student/family and for the tutor are comforting. The background check feature is valuable; I do wish that it had been done automatically as part of the tutor registration process, but I am glad that the feature is available. If the tutor doesn't pass the background check, WyzAnt refunds the cost of running the check to the requester. I highly recommend meeting the prospective tutor at a public library or coffee shop before signing on, to ensure that his/her style and personality matches that of the prospective student. I also like the availability of discounted rates via prepaid packages and that the packages aren't tied to a specific tutor.
Finding a tutor
Came across this site when googling. It was the first one I pulled up and I went with it. We had several good options and chose a tutor whose career field was in the topic area we needed. My daughter is very comfortable with her and she has proven her knowledge in the given area as well as being calm and connecting well.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with WyzAnt. Searching for a tutor was easy, Customer Support Reps were friendly and answered all my questions, and my tutors is fantastic. I wish had done this sooner.
Early experience
So far it has been very interesting and useful for both of us. I dare say, if she never has another student and I never have another teacher, it was worth it for both of us. WyzAnt was just the vehicle.
Best Geometry Tutor
Our initial selection for a geometry tutor was not the best fit. WyzAnt sent us a profile of their best tutors within our radius. Our second choice could not have been better, we scored a wonderful geometry tutor!
