Great tutor
I am sorry about the delay in reviewing WyzAnt system, I was very reluctant about using an internet company such as WyZant but I am learning more and more about how it works and I would not hesitate to recommend others to this site and I do plan to continue use WyZant in the future.
Great experience
I obtained a latin tutor for my daughter and she has been wonderful. i am horrible at using a computer, so i called your phone number and talked to a wonderful person who helped my contact her. i will be needing at least a spanish tutor this summer to prepare for next year and into the fall and possibly a science tutor as my daughter takes only honors classes and plans to make only A's. i plan to only use WyzAnt for my tutors. Thank you.
Incredible Tutor
I had to find a tutor to help my daughter, who lives 7 hours away from me. I was a little skeptical about the service but I was a desperate dad who needed immediate help. WyzAnt allowed me to basically interview the candidates and select he/she who best suited not only my daughters learning style but her personality as well. My tutor was great and very accommodating. He went above and beyond to communicate his professional assessment of my daughters level of competence and made some great suggestions as to what would help her improve and gain a higher level of success. There is no second guessing; next year I'll be logging on to WyzAnt if my daughter encounters any subject matter that she can't tackle alone. Thanks WyzAnt!!!
Excellent Physics Tutor
My son was struggling with AP physics. Neither his school nor his teacher knew of anyone available to provide extra help. WyzAnt had a wonderful person to help my son understand the difficult concepts. The tutor was willing to work around our schedule and helped my son pass this class. Thank you.

This webpage and company made it easy to find a tutor and arrange payments. I am so grateful! Also my tutor has been great and has helped me so much. I was having a really hard time with my course and as soon as I started meeting my tutor I felt so much relief. Great Program!
I searched for a long time for a quality tutor to assist my son with Algebra II. I was beginning to loose hope that I would find one. I stumbled across this website and was hesitant to use the service. I felt more comfortable meeting a tutor face to face; this person will have direct contact with my child. As a last resort I decided to give it a try. The experience has been wonderful. My teenage son, who hates school, told me that he wished we would have found this tutor sooner. My son has had many tutors in the past and says that this is by far the best one he has had. He feels confident that his tutor knows the subject and is able to explain it to him in a manner that he understands. The entire experience has been Great. When I made my inquiry I received emails from prospective tutors very quickly, the first session was scheduled in less than a week, I know what is happening during the sessions, and the payment is incredibly easy. Thank you.
Our experience with WyzAnt as a family.
I feel I made the right choice by contacting WyzAnt for the extra help my son needed in school. My only regret is that I did not do it sooner. I found a wonderful tutor, he related to my son very well and I would use WyzAnt again for sure. To anyone having a problem making the grade in school WyzAnt can help.

When we started looking for a tutor for our son who has Aspergers we weren't sure where to go. We had the opportunity to use a school tutor but my son wasn't comfortable with that. There was Sylvan but it was a long drive. We could have asked some of his older friends but we wanted someone with experience. I googled Algebra 2 tutors in my local area and I found WyzAnt. Here I could read local tutors bios and find a tutor that fit. We could see that they had been background checked, their cost and the area they tutored in. Through WyzAnt we found our tutor. He is AMAZING!!! He and my son connected right away and my son is learning so much and we've only had three lessons. I highly recommend this service!!!
Great source for finding good tutors
I'm new to this sort of search - I was very nervous about looking for an in-home tutor over the net. However, I found that WyzAnt's protections for the prospective student/family and for the tutor are comforting. The background check feature is valuable; I do wish that it had been done automatically as part of the tutor registration process, but I am glad that the feature is available. If the tutor doesn't pass the background check, WyzAnt refunds the cost of running the check to the requester. I highly recommend meeting the prospective tutor at a public library or coffee shop before signing on, to ensure that his/her style and personality matches that of the prospective student. I also like the availability of discounted rates via prepaid packages and that the packages aren't tied to a specific tutor.
Finding a tutor
Came across this site when googling. It was the first one I pulled up and I went with it. We had several good options and chose a tutor whose career field was in the topic area we needed. My daughter is very comfortable with her and she has proven her knowledge in the given area as well as being calm and connecting well.
Great Experience with Wyz Ant
I have had nothing but positive experiences with WyzAnt. Searching for a tutor was easy, Customer Support Reps were friendly and answered all my questions, and my tutors is fantastic. I wish had done this sooner.
Early experience
So far it has been very interesting and useful for both of us. I dare say, if she never has another student and I never have another teacher, it was worth it for both of us. WyzAnt was just the vehicle.
Best Geometry Tutor
Our initial selection for a geometry tutor was not the best fit. WyzAnt sent us a profile of their best tutors within our radius. Our second choice could not have been better, we scored a wonderful geometry tutor!
Most thorough and helpful site for finding a Tutor
I have been very pleased with this service. Katie is a GODSEND! I tried different sites l, but none were as comprehensive in the information provided without charge than Wyzant. Great tutor
We have found the service to be great!! We found an excellent tutor, but have decided that our toddler needs just a bit more time before we pursue her language learning. We will use Wyzant again when we are ready to search for a tutor in the future.

I was very happy with the WyzAnt search and selection tool. I needed a tutor that my son would see some similar qualities in that he also has as a way to help him build his self image. It was easy to find someone not too far from where we live that fit the bill. We are very happy with our tutor.

Very easy tutor search
I was amazed how quickly I found the WyzAnt site by doing a google search for Algebra tutors in our area. I read a few profiles and contacted my selected tutor. She replied via email within a few hours which was great! I entered my payment info which was very simple and we were able to schedule our first session within a couple of days. The tutor has been coming to our home and is friendly, punctual and a great teacher. I would recommend this valuable resource to my friends without hesitation.

It happened to be the very first site that came up when I typed in Statistics tutor. I reviewed the web page and was impressed with the large amount of tutors and the option of getting more than once response if the tutor didnt respond that you requested. I went with the one I wanted and was more than pleased. I passed my nightmare class of Social Statistics course (undergraduate online course through Arizona State University) and nothing makes me more happy! Thank you so much WyzAnt! First Tutor Experience
I was a little apprehensive going through a site that I have never heard of before and contacting tutors whom I have never met. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to schedule a class. The tutor is very professional, prompt and courteous. I have noticed a difference in my son's understanding of letters and words. I am very pleased with his tutor. My son is excited about learning more and always looks forward to his next lesson.

My son was a sophomore in college struggling with managerial accounting, a core business course. He goes to school in Texas. I live in Colorado. Using the WyzAnt website, I quickly found a WyzAnt tutor who had excellent reviews and the requisite background to believe he knew what he was talking about. The web interface with WyzAnt couldn't have been easier to use. The tutor notified me of what was covered in the tutoring session and how my son was doing. WyzAnt posted billing information to my email immediately. There are no hidden fees. Given the ease of use and quality of the tutoring, the fees are extremely reasonable. This truly was as easy as asking someone next door to help with homework. The tutor reexplained accounting concepts in a way much more understandable than that of the course Professor. It is very likely we will use WyzAnt (and hopefully, our tutor) in the Fall. Highly recommend this service.

My daughter is using two tutors in the Greenville, NC area. Because of the profiles and pictures, we were able to find tutors that suited her needs and both have been very responsive. My name is Shameka H. and I am pursuing a degree in Information Technology. I had to take Programming with Algorithms and Logic. It was a tough course! Using the website to find a tutor was easy - there were several folks listed which made it simpler to find someone who would be a good match for my son. Arnold was extremely knowledgeable and had an immediate rapport with my son. The short term goal was to improve his score on a math placement test for college. Besides understanding the material required to improve his test score, my son became open to the idea of using a tutor, and realized the benefit of doing so - a concept that had been unacceptable to him in the past. If all the tutors are as good as Arnold, there is no way to go wrong.

Wyzant was very helpful with locating a great tutor in our area, for our son. Jeanine was a wonderful, experienced tutor that help our son this summer. She was always prepared and very educated in helping him prepare for the second grade. He is more interested in his studies than ever before. She made reading fun whereas before he wasn't interested in reading at all. We are so happy that we contacted Wyzant.

Good Start
Just now starting the service. So far it appears to be a great resource. I am in the process of studying for the PTCE and require a little assistance with pharmacy math and I feel this will be of a great help to me. So far the communication with the tutor has been positive and look forward to future interaction with him to get me pointed in the right direction. I previously held a Pharmacy Technician in another state and it has expired. I have a opportunity to return to Pharmacy but I need to get certified in the state I am now currently residing in. Vast Tutor Selection and Response
We were very happy to see the vast number of tutors available through WyzAnt and to be able to read their profiles and reviews was very helpful. After initially choosing one tutor, many other very good alternatives were also suggested. We had our pick of at least 6 highly qualified individuals! WyzAnt is Amazing!
We had some trouble staying on level with homeschooling. My grandchildren needed tutoring in several subjects and we hit the jackpot when we discovered WyzAnt on the Internet. We found a tutor named Ting and she is wonderful. She lives so close to us as well so the travel time is minimal. It has been a great experience. My tutor is very professional and very efficient. I have learned more in 3 lessons with my tutor than I did in 1 year with other language programs. I would recommend Wyzant to anyone who is trying to learn a new language.
Local Tutor - Payment for Lessons
The tutor that contacted me from Wyzant is wonderful. You can tell that she is very patient and has a love of what she is doing. She is wonderful!!!! After the session my son is very happy that he has accomplished something he wasn't sure about doing. The payment of the lessons is very easy once you are set up it just takes a click of a button which is nice.

Great Tutor Search And Selection
I used WyzAnt for an accounting tutor for my son who lives in Philadelphia. Since I do not live in Philadelphia and never would have had the opportunity to meet the tutor, I selected WyzAnt because I really liked the "money back if you're not satisfied for the first hour" policy. I was impressed with the caliber of the tutors and the quick response that I received when I requested a tutor. My son has had 3 tutoring sessions to date and he feels that the tutor has definitely helped him improve his understanding of the course material. I also like the way WyzAnt has set up the tutoring reports and the feedback features that WyzAnt provides with these reports. Keep up the good work, WyzAnt!
Its been a good experience so far
I started looking online for a tutor. Checked one website before yours but it seemed really complicated to enroll so I exited their site and clicked on yours. Your website made it easy for me to sign up. My daughter is adopted from China and has been in the USA for 11 months. When she came, she couldn't speak any English, had never seen English letters, etc. I enrolled her in kindergarten anyway and I really had to spend every free moment teaching her and going over whatever the assignment was all year long. She is really smart and she ended up finishing kindergarten speaking and reading in English although she was in the lowest reading level. But, this summer she just got tired of me drilling her on her sight words and reading. She wanted me to play barbies with her or help her build something out of legos. Getting a tutor has just really been the right thing to do. She looks forward to the tutor coming and stays on task while she is with her. The best part is that we get to play more! She is doing great and should be caught up in time for first grade! Thanks again!
