My experience has been easy to use. The search was easy to narrow down what I was looking for and the payment is quick and painless. My tutor enters in a review of what we covered and I rate how the lesson was. WyzAnt pretty much takes care of the rest. Easy to use.

Great Website
I needed to find a tutor for my son and stumbled upon this website that made everything easier for us. Today is the first time that the tutor comes over to teach, he seemed to be very knowledgeable. I feel pretty confident. I also like the fact that the website pays the tutor so it makes it easier.
Find the Right Tutor FAST
As a student athlete and aspiring Geophysicist at the University of Texas finding time to study can be a challenge. When my grades started to slip, I became desperate for more personal attention and help. I decided to turn to the internet to help find a good tutor. The first site I visited had a myriad of tutors to choose from and I emailed about 5 of them. Never got a response- not even to say "Sorry, but I am too busy with other students and don't have time to help you." It was very frustrating and I began to lose hope about ever understanding the material enough to get a decent grade. Then I found WyzAnt! Not only did they have MORE available tutors, they also have a feature where you can check an option to have suitable tutors email you! Not only did I get a response within ONE DAY from the first couple of tutors I emailed, I got about 8 emails from other tutors who wanted to help me! Within two days I had scheduled a time and place to meet my tutor. Not only was he flexible with times, but he was also willing to drive all the way to campus to meet me. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to really make sure I understood the material. Thank you WyzAnt for setting up this site, I had no idea where to start with finding my daughter a physics tutor. I have to admit I was a bit skeptical to start, but in desperation I went with your site. Brian was a god sent. My daughter came home with this magic in her eyes. Brian was able to make sense of it all to her. My daughter said "Brian made it so simple, I felt stupid." She is kicking butt in class now, and has changed her attitude towards physics. Wonderful Tutors
My son and I were very impressed. The tutor was very prepared for everything. It was like being in the first day of school. He let my son take an evaluation skill while he explained to me what would take place over the period of tutoring. I am really glad I decided to do this. Excellent Tutors
This is the best experience I have had with any tutors. Julie was great with the kids. Finding a tutor was so easy. I felt like it was just a click of a button and I had several tutors to choose from. All the information was right there to make your decision. I love the payment arrangements. You don't have to worry about giving the money at the time of the tutor lessons. It is just automatic. Love it. The support is great. If you have questions all you do is call or email, I prefer email as I am not a phone person at all. My overall experience and impression is this is the only place to find a tutor. All you have to do is give a brief summary of what your child is having difficulties with and it actually distinguishes the different tutors. It is great. Helpful Tutor Search
I used WyzAnt to search for a tutor and within a week I had set up my first session with a tutor. The profiles of tutors are so easy to read and the web site is very user friendly. Even when I wasn't emailing tutors, tutors were emailing me giving their credentials and why they would be a good fit to tutor me. There is such a wide variety of tutors for so many different subjects that I am sure to use WyzAnt for any of my other tutoring needs. I loved the package deal that came with pre-ordering credit from the website, as tutoring can get expensive it is nice to get a break anywhere you can, and WyzAnt definitely gives you the opportunity to save money and get extra credit for tutoring every which way you turn. The site also gives you tutors that are in your area, so finding a tutor that can meet at your home, or your college is as easy as 1 2 3. I loved using this website to search for a tutor and definitely suggest this site to anyone else who is looking for a tutor.
Great Tutoring Resource
We signed up for WyzAnt in October 2010 and immediately got responses from each tutor we selected. Making the selection was the most difficult part because there were so many qualified tutors in our area for high school English as well as advanced math and science courses. We chose two young, super smart (scary smart, really) recent college grads and have had great success. Dan in particular has been a great hit with our 16-year old son who was failing Geometry before we got to WyzAnt. Dan has really targeted our son's difficulties and is now helping him to strengthen his Algebra skills. Anna tutored our high school senior for the SAT writing portion and significantly improved his score. She is also tutoring him in AP Stats and Honors Physics. The bonus for us is that Anna is very familiar with our high school's math program as she tutors many of the kids from the same public school, if not the same class. Overall, we can't say enough about WyzAnt. Tutors are great, response is immediate and satisfaction is overwhelming!
No complaints
I was able to find a tutor who taught my subject. I received a quick response and was able to begin lessons almost immediately. I paid for my first hour, and met my tutor at a public location. Since I am satisfied with how the session went, I will be paying for more lessons. I am still figuring out how the payment system works, but so far everything is going smoothly. The only complaint I have is that I could only find two tutors near me for Japanese. Of these two, only one was a native speaker; therefore I really only had one choice. Thankfully the tutor turned out to be prepared and fairly personable.
So far very helpful
Your system did a very good job of putting me in touch very quickly with a number of possible tutors for a quite specific, college level math course. One possible tutor lived too far away, but within 24 hours we had connected with another tutor who lives near us. So in the space of less than three days we went from seeking a tutor to our student having his first meeting with the tutor. The tutor seems nice and well-qualified.

My son was having a difficult time in his German II class at our local high school, It's not that the teacher was bad it's just difficult to give one on one attention to every student when there are 30 kids for only 55 minutes a day. So, instead of letting him flounder for another semester I decided to Google German tutors and up popped the WyzAnt website! I am so glad that I did that because my son really likes his tutor and in just 15 minutes of his first official lesson she clarified noun cases which he said was huge! He stated at we were on our way home way home "what a good feeling it was to finally understand the noun cases and how it will be so much easier to move on." I think that the time and money will be well worth it. My son is looking forward to a better understanding of German and ultimately a better grade! Out of the 4 tutors that responded in record time I think that we found the best fit for us! Awesome Tutor Search Site, Smooth Transaction & Flawless Process
The moment that I decided my son needed a tutor, I did a search online and was immediately directed to the WyzAnt site. I must say that as easy as it was finding the site, it was equally just as easy to find a tutor whose credentials matched my child's needs. The site allows you to sort through the various tutors utilizing an advanced search option, which is great for clients who already know exactly what kind and method of help they are looking for. The verification process was quick and easy and once my sessions with the tutor were confirmed, closing out each transaction required absolutely no hassle on my end of the spectrum, which is great when you are a very busy mother, wife and business owner. I receive an invoice and lesson evaluation through email shortly after the sessions end and the payments are automatically deducted from my account. What better way to do business than a paperless process, let alone the positive way in which this method of doing business contributes to the earth and all of the green efforts being made in this day and age. Great Tutor Search and Selection
This is the best tutor service I have found ever! WyzAnt.com provides an easy and transparent way for tutor search and selection. You see what you get. Some of the tutors have background checks to make you feel better to have them come to your home. The payment is easy and the price/hour rate is actually lower than the tutors I found via other approaches for the same quality. Most of the tutors are good and we have hired them for long term helps. As a parent who spends lot of time traveling out of town and out of the country, I really appreciate WyzAnt.com for providing such a wonderful services to make it possible for me to be able to help my kids on the way! Excellent site to find a suitable tutor for students
Finding a tutor was much easier than I had envisioned with WyzAnt. I searched online for a tutor in math and spanish and WyzAnt popped up. I had no idea what a gem we had found. Our 16 year son struggled greatly last year in math and other subjects and we did not want a repeat this year. I submitted our requests with our ideal location and had responses within hours! We could read about each person's profile, their experience, rates and own personal statement regarding their qualifications to teach our son. Several agreed to meet with us that week at OUR chosen location, which is our local library. Additionally, after each session, we receive a note from the tutor informing us on what they discussed and what would be helpful for us to know. The tutors actually welcome an e-mail from the parent or student and are quite respondent. We are thrilled that our son is saying "I get it" with resulting higher scores on tests, quizzes and homework. Our son enjoys meeting his tutors locally and at the time that works with his sports and school schedule, as well as on the days that do not conflict with other events. He feels he connects well with his tutor too. I'd highly recommend obtaining a tutor through WyzAnt. This is a great all around solution for us and our son. We were able to hand pick our tutor and the price is very reasonable. We simply pay on line through paypal. Also, if you want to pay for a certain number of sessions ahead of time, they offer a nice discount, yet if you do not USE all your tutoring time, you are reimbursed 100% for all unused dollars. It's a well thought out system. A response from Customer service has been just as quick as the tutor - within hours! Great Tutor!
WyzAnt has been a very user friendly site. After struggling to find a tutor elsewhere I came across WyzAnt. After creating an account, I was contacted by many tutors. I emailing with a few of them, and was able to find the tutor I had been looking for! In the past I had struggled with finding just the right person. No hassles! Great tool for finding exactly what you are looking for
As a child I was placed in a preschool program that immersed me to the French language. As a direct result I have had an ease with languages as an adult and I knew before I ever had children I would look for a similar program for my own children. As my two children reached preschool age I began an exhaustive search for a native French speaker to play with them, read them stories, etc., and to generally expose them to the language as I had experienced. It took me two years of searching before I came across the WyzAnt site and within a week and a half we had our first session with our wonderful native French tutor. She was everything I had hoped to find and WyzAnt made the entire process so easy. Registering through the site, setting up tutoring sessions, paying for sessions, and even leaving reviews are so easy through WyzAnt. Productive and efficient tutor service provision
I am taking a BioStatistics course on-line for the Master's in Health Care Administration. This is a six-week class, so the required information is tightly crammed and the studying goes in a very fast pace. To tell you the truth, when the class started I had no idea how difficult it could be. I just graduated from Bachelor's program with a 3.95 GPA, so when the second week of the class began, I realized that I am not so savvy in this subject. I never had a tutor before and the whole idea of getting one sounded kind of weird. After searching the great wide-web, I found the link to the WyzAnt services and began my research of the possible tutors. What I really liked about the WyzAnt, is an efficient customer service and that the tutors were located in many areas that were close to my house. This is my third week working with my tutor and I feel that the few hours that was spent, definitely paid off, since my grade is still 97% in the class. Thanks WyzAnt!!!

Very good tutor search
It was very easy for me to locate a good tutor for my daughter. I did not know you existed, but I am glad you do. The description of all the tutors was very helpful with pictures and everything. Reading the description of all the tutors made it easy for me to determine who I would like to tutor my daughter. The payment method is also very convenient. Our first tutoring session with Kartik proved to be very beneficial to my daughter. He explains well and on her level. I would definitely use Kartik to tutor my daughter again. Thank you.
Very Efficient Process
In looking for tutoring help for freshmen courses in college, I located WyzAnt through Google. I found the web site easy to understand and user friendly. Once I put my credit card down as a deposit, I was able to speak to the tutors directly to understand how helpful they could be and their strengths . I have been very happy also with the detailed summary provided on the site to describe the various backgrounds and skills offered by the tutors. The ability to break down by location and major is excellent and very helpful and allows for a good way to pick a tutor through a preliminary assessment. I have been very happy with each of the tutors(three) so far as they have been able to get into the subject matter quickly and have been able to help prepare for the matter at hand. The payment system is very efficient and the two times I called customer service , I found them to be very friendly and helpful.

Highly Recommended Tutoring Search Site!
I work in a high school but when my son needed advanced math help I did not know where to turn. I found WyzAnt Tutoring on an internet search and I will admit, I was a bit wary. I had never heard of this site and in general am not one for trying unknown sites. After looking at the site I decided to try it and emailed a tutor in the subject area. By the end of the day at least 5 tutors in my area had emailed me. I selected a tutor, gave her a contact number and set up the first session the next day. Payment is so simple. I put it on my credit card through the WyzAnt site and WyzAnt keeps track of the balance remaining and paying the tutor. I get summaries of the tutoring session emailed to me after each session. It has only been 3 weeks but my son is already improving. By improving, I mean his math grade has jumped SIXTEEN PERCENT and he finally is starting to understand the work in class! I am so happy and satisfied. I highly recommend this site. The tutors are wonderful and the site makes finding and paying for the tutoring service easy.
Expert Tutors willing to Teach
After only spending a few minutes searching for a tutor, I found one close to where I live. After setting up a meeting with her, everything went smoothly from there. My tutor not only knew the subject calculus very well but also broke steps down to understand each point. Payment was super easy; once the session was over, the fee was automatically deducted from my account. After only two sessions I felt confident in taking my quiz, and soon I hope to do well on my next test. It's great to see good help at an affordable cost. Not only is the fee for each session low but I can buy credit and receive discount, making my payment per session less.

Great Tutor Search and Selection
There were a great selection of tutors within my area with the expertise I was looking for. I reviewed several tutors backgrounds and I contacted around four of them via e-mail. One of the four tutors I selected really stood out to me as far as her background. I really needed someone to help my 15 year old who has an IEP with better study habits, grammar,sentence structure, etc. Meredith of Baltimore is the tutor I choose and she has definitely backed up what was written down of her teaching experiences. Meredith listened to my concerns, listened to my daughter and then discussed the goals she would like to obtain. Our first week of tutoring was excellent. We just completed our second tutoring session and my daughter was very enthusiastic and more confident. Payment for the lessons are very easy. Payment is made via credit card on-line. I have and will recommend WyzAnt to others.

Great Tutor Search
My wife isn't very computer savvy but she was able to locate a great tutor in our area that was competitively priced. After reviewing the local tutors we made contact with two of them, reviewed their resumes and made our selection. Scheduling was give and take based upon current commitments by both the tutor and our son. Overall, using WyzAnt was a fairly simple and quick process from start to finish.

I think WyzAnt is a great resource. The ability to communicate before buying hours to insure you and the tutor are on the same page with expectations of sessions. The flexibility makes this very desirable as you only have to commit to the hours and days you actually need. The tutors seem to be skilled and willing to accommodate schedules. Very thorough and connects well with my daughter
I searched for a tutor on the internet because my daughter wanted a female and all I could find through our school were male tutors. The WyzAnt website popped up when I entered "chemistry tutor in Boulder County". I really liked Rachel P.'s information and she sounded like a good fit for my daughter. We signed up for Rachel to tutor, entered our credit card info and were able to communicate with her all within a matter of a day or so. Once we made contact, we had our first session scheduled for 2 days later. It was all so easy so far! I made contact with customer service to confirm that there were no hidden charges, sign up fee, travel charges, etc. and they promptly responded assuring me that only the hourly tutor fee would apply. (an hourly fee that I felt was very fair). After our first session with Rachel, our daughter was a NEW person. It was as if a weight was lifted off of her. I have not seen her in this wonderful of a mood in a long time. She felt like there was hope for her chemistry & math classes. Immediately, our daughter wanted to know Rachel's contact info because through the magic of texting, she had already told 2 classmates that they should book Rachel to help them with the same class that they all were struggling with! A good sign, I'd say! We have now had 2 sessions and are so encouraged that our daughter does not feel lost and is actually "ready" for her test on Tuesday...after only 2 lessons!!! WyzAnt found me the perfect Arabic tutor!
I cannot believe how quickly I was able to find a "perfect tutor" of Arabic by using your site! I submitted my need to find an Arabic-speaking tutor to help me with a specific situation: I had had my progressive curriculum of Arabic study at a language school interrupted and felt unready to enroll in the next level. What I sought was a tutor, very knowledgeable about the Arabic language, who could review with me and bring me up to a comfortable level of competence for continuance at the school. Within hours of my submission, I received a response. The responder stated that he believed he could help me. The tutor offered to meet me in person to see if we were a match. What I really liked about WyzAnt is that I was able to communicate by e-mail before posting any funds; I was a first-time user and felt hesitant about offering a credit card number at this early stage. Once I met the teacher, I immediately posted funds, taking advantage of a 5% discount, as I knew ahead that we were expecting a need for 5 or 6 lessons. WyzAnt also allowed me to find a local teacher, which both teacher and student appreciated! A day or so later, I also received another response from the WyzAnt service. This person also sounded very competent, but politely withdrew when he/she heard that I had made a commitment to another teacher. Although my immediate need has been satisfied, I have become so fascinated with your service that I'm thinking about contracting with tutors in fields other than Arabic: who knows, maybe someone could finally teach this 69 year old to swim!
Tutor Search
I began my search by Googling "tutors" in my hometown. WyzAnt was reviewed by the need of type of tutoring (writing), what tutors were available and how to contact the tutor and cost. WyzAnt was able to summarize each tutors' capabilities and what subjects they were qualified to teach and/or tutor. The ease of contacting the tutor and the payment for lessons was excellent. You are able to choose how you want to pay and have discount payment plans. We were able to set up an appointment within a couple of days with the tutor. You receive e-mails stating the results of the tutoring and what the payment was. I will continue using the WyzAnt for my boys tutoring needs. Thank you.
Easy and efficient site
Met with Chris for the first time today. He spent time getting to know me and how I process. I split the hour with my son. We didn't have much time together but we're able to formulate a plan for my success. I felt Chris was supportive and encouraging. WyzAnt was easy to use. I'm not one that has the greatest computer skills so for me to get around the site and explore the potential offers and feel that is was "friendly" is huge. I have considered tutoring before but was put off by the site being too complicated. Even though I knew who I wanted as a tutor, I received many responses to my inquiry. I looked up the profiles of the tutors who responded and decided to stick with one that I had already chosen. Because I am in a program that will take me a few years, I opted for the largest plan and was happy to get the discount. My children have done other programs and I have never been offered a discount even when having multiple children at the site or being a repeat customer. I also like that my tutor sends an email after we have met summing up the work for the day. It helps me as a parent to monitor the work my son and he are doing (even though he (tutor) is awesome at communicating with me in person also). I can also send my own comments and questions to him via email. I found my tutor to be flexible, available and proficient and am looking forward to the next time we meet. Knowing I have someone to help me through the things I find challenging makes me feel much more confident as a student. We all have our strengths and weaknesses. It's great to have someone support me in the trenches.

It saves you time by giving a personal introduction by the tutor, as well as a list of their qualifications/experiences/certifications and the tutor's rate. It's great that they guarantee the first hour, that way if it doesn't work out with that first tutor, you can find another one without feeling like you have lost money. Great tutor!
Our son was struggling with Geometry and were in need of a tutor. Joshua R's bio sounded great but we weren't sure how he would connect with our son. We are so glad we picked him because he has made math fun and easy for our son. Our experience has been nothing but positive. It's nice that he can accommodate our schedule when needed. I love paying via computer for our tutoring, it convenient and never having to deal with money with tutor.
Great Tutors
WyzAnt offers great tutor selections at your fingertips. I am taking Pre Med courses in Chemistry and Physics and am using WyzAnt tutors for both subjects. The tutors are friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I am now more confident in the applications and mechanics of both subjects and feeling overall more comfortable in these subjects. WyzAnt - A Pretty Wise Move
What a find WyzAnt has been for me and my granddaughter! I looked at other options and not only were they extremely expensive for these tough economic times, but they also required that we go out to their facilities, (another expense). In addition, that would mean another night or two out of the house when she is only four and she already has pre-school during the day and classes on three nights. So far this has been a perfect solution to my dilemma about tutoring my granddaughter in reading. I taught my own children to read, but my work schedule has become increasingly hectic making it impossible to devote the needed amount of time to tutoring her myself. I also got to choose someone I thought would suit her personality and learning style. Where else would that be possible? I appreciate the ease of paying for lessons as well. The payment is posted in a timely manner so you don't forget about it and they send you a receipt immediately. WyzAnt: It just makes sense, economics-wise, time-wise, personality-wise, needs-based, WISE, common sense. My wise old aunt would be proud.
Pleasant surprise with tutoring experience
I needed a Spanish tutor for my son and I wasn't sure how to go about finding one. I found WyzAnt through Google. Once I put in my request for a tutor I got a response within a day. She lives in our same town so we don't have to drive far to meet. I also worried that my son would not want to go each week, but that has not been the case. The tutor we found is not only excellent at speaking and teaching Spanish, she seems to relate well to my son which seems to make the sessions enjoyable and fun. He brought his grade up from an F to a C in just 3 weeks, and I think it will continue to rise. His class participation grade is also much better, as when the teacher calls on him in class he is able to answer the questions. He comments after each session that it was good and helpful. Payment for lessons is very simple. I bought a lesson package in advance and a day or two after each lesson, I get an email stating the date of my last lesson and the cost and what the remaining balance is on my account. Overall I'm very pleased with our experience with WyzAnt and we'll continue to see our Spanish tutor. If we ever need a tutor in another subject, we'll definitely seek one through WyzAnt.

I want to thank you guys for your awesome service. Frankly I'm not from here and was so frustrated trying to find a tutor for my daughter. My husband told me to just do some google searches and see what comes up. I'm not a big computer fan and never google anything but was at my limit that I would do anything. Lo and behold I googled for a tutor in Utah and a bunch of places came up. WyzAnt was referred by a friend to help me with College Calculus 1 in which I was having difficulty understanding some of the math concepts. Shannon L. was one of the tutors that I considered among several because of her good reviews and speedy response to e-mail me to schedule a meeting between us. She was very helpful in explaining her goals to help me with my math problems. She also was a good listener to get a better understanding of my situation. Wonderful tutor selection
My fiance Bill and I are so impressed with WyzAnt. My stepson Daniel has been struggling with Chemistry and he was getting an E in the class. Neither Bill or I had chemistry in High School and we weren't able to help. I did a tutor search for Brighton, MI and found the WyzAnt website. By the next morning, I received a note from Clark saying that he was interested in tutoring Daniel, if we had not yet found a tutor. We are so happy we contacted Clark. He is AMAZING. He has a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering and is patient, thorough and a wonderful teacher. Daniel has told me that Clark is much "smarter" than his own teacher. Clark sits with Daniel, goes over the problems with him and teaches him how to solve the equations for himself - for example: "The first thing I did was to derive a set of equations from these two formulas to find any quantity from any other. This was done by solving each formula for ?, then equating them. I left this set of equations with Daniel. When asked to solve this type of problem in the future, all he needs to do is look up on the list of equations to find which formula has the desired quantity by itself in terms of the given quantities." Isn't he amazing? We are so happy with Clark, our tutor, and know that Danny's grades will improve dramatically due to his help. Thank you, WyzAnt! Great Tutor Search and Selection
I had tried to get a Spanish tutor through the high school my son attends with no luck. I went online and googled for tutors which is how I found out about WyzAnt. Immediately after I signed up I got at least 3 emails the first day. I contacted the person closest to me after speaking to him and coming to the conclusion he could help my son. He is now tutoring my son in Spanish once a week and he does a great job with him. I thanked the others for their interest. I am glad I chose WyzAnt to find a tutor.
Great tutoring session
It's very overwhelming trying to find a tutor for your child to help them when they are feeling "under-able" to keep up in school. I was very happy to find WyzAnt and to know that they were researching all of their tutors and that I could feel confident that the tutors on the site would have the necessary skills to help my child understand his school work. I was also very happy to see that the fees were clearly posted and that I would be able to use WyzAnt to handle the interchange of payment. The process felt very "safe" as I first corresponded by email with our chosen tutor before exchanging phone numbers. Once we had scheduled our first session, the tutor was prompt and friendly when he arrived at our home. My son was apprehensive about the need to have a tutor and about what the tutor would actually be able to teach him (which is probably pretty consistent for teenage boys). I was happy to hear him showing signs of excitement as he worked problems with his tutor and learned the steps needed to solve his algebra II problems. After just two sessions, my son was able to obtain a high B on a quiz, having passed only one other graded assignment since school began. He also has gained the sense that he is able to solve the algebraic equations on his own and is now very happy to know that he has another session scheduled so that he can continue to supplement his classroom learning with one-on-one sessions with his tutor. Children all learn in different manners and finding someone who can relate to a teenager, share their knowledge and correct mistakes without making a child feel ashamed or belittled has given me hope that we may survive this year of algebra II. I am envisioning a year of weekly sessions which my son will look forward to and be open to being a full participant in the learning experience. I truly didn't expect such a quick response to just two sessions. Seeing results this quickly is amazing and I am thankful that I decided to take action when I did and that I was lucky enough to find WyzAnt and their vetted tutors. Having the option of prepaying for sessions and receiving a significant discount is a wonderful extra.

Great selection
I love this website.. I am a science major in college and have used this site twice for my science classes I have struggled with. The tutors are knowledgeable and they know how to explain things in many different ways. I will be back for more help as I continue on. My first experience was with Physics and man did I hate that subject. The tutor made it so my math skills were better and he helped me understand the concepts behind the math. Right now I am currently being tutored in chem 2 for college and Its hard there's a lot of math and misusing the formulas was becoming an disaster for me. I found I tutor who was eager to teach me and shes doing a great job at it. I'm not dreading going to class every night and the labs are becoming fun now that I get the concept behind it.

I was looking for a chemistry tutor for my college chemistry class. I searched Google several times and contacted people with personal tutoring websites. I came up empty handed every time. I was about to give up when I came across WyzAnt. I was able to find someone close to home who was willing to take on a college course. I found that tutors on other websites were not willing to help at the level I needed. I was able to contact Sally before I had to pay and fill her in on my situation. She replied very promptly and we were able to set up our first session in less than a week. I have been very happy with her help thus far. She is very patient and was able to quickly see where I struggled. I will continue to use Sally and have passed on the WyzAnt site to other students in my class who are needing help. In the beginning I was a little worried about paying up front for the tutoring time since there are so many scams online. I am a teacher and I often need to find a tutor for enrichment for my students. Finding tutors through your site is a wonderful experience. You have done all of the work, and when we hire a tutor, I feel like I already know them. Also, their education backgrounds are impressive. Great Tutor Selection
Our ninth grade was struggling with algebra for the second year in a row. Despite having excelled in math myself forty years ago, it was no longer within my ability to give him the help he needed. I googled "Algebra tutors in Los Angeles" and found WyzAnt. I put in our zip code and found several algebra tutors close by. It was that easy. The online profiles were very personable so our son could relate to them. I was contacted immediately by several and picked a recent college graduate in our neighborhood. After her first meeting with our son he said there was no need to interview anyone else: he had found his tutor. She was able to explain things in a way that no one else had. With her help, his second semester grade went from a D to a B+, which also replaced his D from first semester! This was a tremendous boost to his self esteem. This year through WyzAnt we found another college graduate in our neighborhood to tutor him in both geometry and Spanish. Two subjects in one tutor! Since I myself don't speak Spanish, and our son's Spanish teacher only speaks Spanish in class, it has been great to have someone provide the extra assistance he needs.

So far, my experience with this program has been great. I like the way I was able to find the, hopefully, right person to tutor my daughter in reading and writing. I will not know how successful this all has been until I see how my daughter progresses with the tutor and her studies. I really like the method of payment. I can use my credit card and my daughter can just go and meet with the tutor without me having to have her carry money with her to handle the financial obligation. I also feel more safe using my credit card and I get bonus points from my card provider and discounts from you by purchasing more time in advance. Your website is easy to use. I do like looking at the person while reading about them. I feel more connected to the person I choose and, hopefully, my intuition about a person is correct which makes me feel even more comfortable about my choice and the program. Wonderful Experience
I have found using WyzAnt to be a wonderful experience. I have recommended your site to my family and friends. My 14 year old was struggling in Honors Geometry. From the first time Joseph came to our house, I knew we had a wonderful tutor. He had a patient way of explaining the things that my son did not understand. My son's average went from a C to a high A! He will also be able to help him with Algebra, Calculus, Chemistry and Physics. I felt helpless with these subjects, so Joseph's help is invaluable. WyzAnt is a great website
I used WyzAnt earlier in the year to get a tutor for my son in writing. I found a wonderful tutor, Carolyn. For his next report card, he went up from a 2 to a 3. Additionally, she went over some math concepts as well. In school they touch on so many math concepts and are unable to spend a great deal of time on them. I find that not "mastering" one topic before moving on to the next one was very frustrating for my son. Carolyn was able to help my son feel more confident with math. This year, my son has been on grade level in all areas. However, due to the upcoming EOGs, I have outreached to WyzAnt again -- just so that we can keep him there. Again, there are so many pre-algebra concepts that they want to expose the children to. But not enough time is being spent on a topic before moving along to another one. WyzAnt is a great website, and I'm very glad that I found it.
Spanish tutor
I wish I would have known about WyzAnt 4 years ago. I have looked and used other tutoring programs before and most of them charge a lot of $$ and they never seem to help with the current stuff they are having trouble with. They want to spend their time working on past stuff and that never worked for us. I have a son that has always struggled in math. I got online and found WyzAnt to tutor him last year in math and he seems to be doing well now. I love having the option to get him help in other subjects. I now use WyzAnt to help him in Spanish. I couldn't have gotten a nicer teacher. He really connects with his tutor and is doing much better in Spanish. I think the tutors are very educated in helping the kids. If any of my kids need help in any area I will not hesitate to contact WyzAnt.

Excellent Tutor Service
I am an adult student who had to take Statistical Methods and Research which was only a 5 week course. Therefore, my time was limited in order to gain the knowledge needed to pass this 4 credit course. The college instruction was good because we were able to do the exercises in class along with group discussion. However I did not have a strong math background which made this course more difficult for me to learn the basic concepts and tools. I needed to use statistical analysis to apply to my research project. I decided to search the web using Google to find a statistics tutor in the Rochester, New York area. I was directed to WyzAnt website. I was impressed with their thought provoking (zip code, mileage range, tutor profile, background check, etc.)Questions that I would not have thought enough to ask. After this process I found several tutors in my area, within 2 days, 5 professional tutors responded to my emails after I gave approval to WyzAnt for these possible tutors to contact me via email. I had several choices of experts readily available for me. I decided to have Amanda to be my tutor because she lives in my area. We met and decided that she could help me agree to a place and time and within a week, I had the additional assistance that I needed to better understand statistics. Amanda was always on time, she tutored me in a manner that did not make me feel uncomfortable (stupid). Amanda explained various concepts in steps until I understood. She did not do the work for me. However, she ensured that I fully understood the process before we moved forward in the statistics exercises. She had the patience to explain the concepts until I got it, and I did!!! I also like the simplicity of the how to process the payments, WyzAnt credit discount, and most importantly, WyzAnt customer service. I needed to know the answer to my question over the weekend, which was WyzAnt off hours. However, I emailed customer service and within the same day, I was given an answer via my email to my question. I found the perfect tutor on WYZANT
I have been using a WYZANT tutor for over two years for my daughter. I wanted a piano teacher to come into my home for an hour each week. After reviewing many tutors online and talking to several prospectives, we were able to quickly settle on Lorraine. My daughter is now six years old and loves to play the piano. She is also being taught music theory. It has been the perfect situation. Lorraine has also helped my older child with French.
