Everything going great
So far I'm very pleased. My tutor is very good and flexible regarding hours. My only issues is that I've not been able to spend as much time focusing on my own practice as much as I need to, but that is my issue and something that I'm going to improve on very soon. I'm really glad that I found WyzAnt. My experience has been positive and I will use you for other classes as time goes on.
Great experience
Our tutor is great! So glad we found her. We will def use her for Spanish 2 next year. She was always on time and the entire process from locating her to payment was super easy.
Tutoring Session
My experience with WyzAnt is not my first so I knew what to expect. I got responses from almost all of the tutors that I send emails to. I used one tutor for one lesson and he was very professional and easy to understand. If I require a tutor again in the future I will be sure to use him. Thanks again WyzAnt.

The best place to find the help you need!!!
I am currently in graduate school and needed assistance with Biostatistics and Healthcare Finance. I found 2 of the best tutors on this site. It is so easy to get started and it is very affordable. Both tutors were available and worked around my crazy schedule. I can't speak highly enough of the WyzAnt website and the incorporated tutors. Both tutors were helpful and very knowledgeable in their field of expertise. I will graduate this December and I am am so grateful to having the pleasure to work with Anthony I. and Richard V. Great Totor Search
A very user friendly website. What I like most about WyzAnt is the profile of each tutor. What a tutor says about him/herself tells you a lot whether he or she is a good fit for your child. I used WyzAnt twice, I found excellent tutors both time.
Helpful and informative website!
I was very excited to find WyzAnt after searching on Google for tutor possibilities in my area. I greatly appreciated being able to search by subject area, and the tutor descriptions were very detailed and informative. I "bookmarked" several tutors for future possibilities and also contacted one tutor. I LOVE how WyzAnt allows you to input your payment information, as I have found the payment part of tutoring a bit awkward (as have the tutors who have come to our house previously). WyzAnt removes this part of the "transaction" and follows through with requests for tutor feedback to help future customers. I have already recommended WyzAnt to several friends, both as a resource and as a possible job opportunity. Thank you for providing such a useful service for busy parents like myself.
top of the line tutor
I went on line and googled "tutor" and saw several tutors but I did not like them so I continued to scroll and found WyzAnt I signed in and plugged in the subject and zip code this pulled up all available tutors within a radius of the zip code. I looked down and realized that some tutors had profiles and times of availability but no picture so I only looked at tutors with photos that would fit my daughter's schedule. I came across one tutor, Javier, who was actually in the city of Alexandria and was willing to meet my daughter at the library. Javier responded to me immediately and set up a date and time. He arrived on time and was well prepared to assist my daughter. My concern was that he would not be up to date on the current geometry that is being taught in the school system. He asked her questions and my daughter showed him what she was currently working on, Javier gave sample of some problems similar to the ones she got incorrect on work and proceeded to take her step by step on resolving the problems. Javier was patient and was able to cover everything she wanted to go over and she felt more positive about her geometry. I thought the program was very well set up and very professional. I will continue to use WyzAnt and will keep it as a a backup for any other subjects she maybe having difficulties with.
Great Tutor Search and Selection
I looked up to find a French tutor and when I looked at WyzAnt, I liked the fact you could easily find the tutor for the subject you are looking for. The payment system is great and the selection of possible tutors was a great one. There were several that could fit a variety of expectations. Seconde is a wonderful tutor. She is prompt, very good with our teenager (encouraging and very clear about the differences of the language). WyzAnt is very easy to use from selecting the tutor to requesting and getting the first contact with the tutor as well as the payment. Thank you, WyzAnt!
Outstanding Service
Several weeks ago, I was completely stressed out about the fact that my daughter has a major High School Assessment Test in December and I knew that she was not prepared for this test. This test will allow schools to determined if they will accept her registration and even the amount of scholarships that she can get. I knew I could not help her, so I decided to find her a tutor. The problem with that is the fact that I have a bad work schedule and all the tutors that I knew could help her were not available at the days and times we were. Also, I would have to drive a long distance to meet with these tutors which was really inconvenient for us. One day, during one of my searches on the web, I came across WyzAnt, Inc. First I was not sure this would work for us and after reading the "How It Works" page, I was thinking that this is too good to be true. However, I decided to give it a try and I figure that if he didn't work, I could always get my money back. I searched for a math tutor on the site and was able to ask this tutor questions even before I submitted a payment. This was pretty cool, because this gave me a chance to figure out if this tutor was a good fit for my daughter before I even submitted the funds. Literally a couple of hours after my first e-mail to the tutor, he responded to my e-mail. He was able to work the days and times that I was able to fit into my schedule. Most importantly, he would come to a public location that was convenient for me and my daughter! This was amazing..I was so excited, but still skeptical and could not wait for our first session to start. I immediately created an account and wanted to add funds. This process was so easy. It only took me a couple of minutes to get this done. I just needed to go to My Account page and click on Purchase Credit...I was able to choose from one of the discount packages they offer or just add whatever funds I wanted to add to my account according to my budget. It was nice having this option. It may the process less stressful. After this was completed I was ready to go! I confirmed my first session with the tutor, location and time and we even exchanged phone numbers. This whole process only took a couple of minutes. No stress, headaches, nothing... The day of the first tutoring session, I was nervous for me and my daughter. We arrived to Starbucks about 10 minutes earlier...and that was the longest 10 minutes ever! I was thinking the whole time that maybe this is a scam and the tutor will never show up. However, I was WRONG!!! My tutor not only showed up, but he was extremely friendly, courteous, punctual and he had all his tutoring materials prepared and he was ready to start the session. I really wanted to scream of joy, but there was just too many people around, so I kind of smiled quietly on the inside. My daughter has been tutoring for 3 weeks now (twice a week for 2 hours each session). We are almost finished with the book we have in preparation for the test. She is very comfortable with every subject the tutor went over with her and now, I believe that she will ACE this test. I am one happy and thankful parent! This is one stress item that no longer exist thanks to WyzAnt. I strongly recommend this program to anybody looking for a hassle-free program and a great tutor. You will not regret it! I don't!
Excellent Service. Easy to use. Responsive to our needs.
I was skeptical at first but after we completed the first tutoring session I was completely happy! I found WyzAnt via a google search for an AP Biology Tutor for my son. It was easy to enter the information the WyzAnt website requested. I was able to look at the bio's for several potential tutors and send them an email. I got responses from several tutors right away. I even got responses from tutors I did not contact, which was fine. It was helpful to start the selection process before I had to commit my credit card to the system. The price was right so when I went to the site again the next day and had no qualms about signing up. As soon as I set up the billing I get another email from the tutor and we made arrangements for the first session. She showed up right on time, got right to work and was kind enough to stay afterward to speak with my husband and I. We didn't have to have cash available to pay her because the billing took place overnight behind the scene. Really cool! I'd say we are off to an excellent start! The website seems to provide a service that the high school does not. I spoke with the school counselor previously but he did not have tutor referrals except for student tutors. WyzAnt provides a private tutoring service that is confidential and offers a diverse selection of tutors and subjects. I save time and money using this service. My son is pleased and encouraged. The tutor we selected was recruited by her college. My son is being recruited so this was a added benefit for him. I would definitely use this service again. I did not have to use the phone and I did not have to wait for return calls. It could have taken a lot longer to find a tutor. I would like to know how WyzAnt selects people to be tutors because I noticed that a few of the folks who responded to me were working adults with no experience in tutoring and no recent academic experience. I have found that the best tutors are the ones who know the specific curriculum at the school the student attends. The tutor I selected graduated from college this year. She stated that she took AP Biology as a senior in high school. Her major was biology. For these reasons I selected her even though her high school education was out of state.
Wonderful Service!
It was so easy to use the WyzAnt service, and we really like the tutor we found(Thomas D). We just began lessons, but my son is feeling more confident in Algebra 1. I will recommend the service to others. It makes it so simple to have the account set up so you do not have to worry about writing a check each time. Your credit card is charged after the lesson. WyzAnt does seem to have a thorough screening process for accepting their tutors so this made it much easier for me to hire a tutor for my son.
JUST GREAT!
I was looking for someone than had knowledge in tutoring the ASVAB test and ended up choosing Hugh because of his feedback and come to find out he is better than I anticipated. He made learning easy which encourage me to ask questions without embarrassment. I thought hes teaching techniques were very efficient because I understood the problems in the first try, refreshed my mind in things I thought were impossible to learn quickly. HIGHLY RECOMEND HUGH FOR YOUR TUTOR, TRUST ME YOU WILL GET YOUR MONEYS WORTH!
Response time prompt and professionalee
I contacted three online companies and WyzAnt was the only company that responded with a tutor that had the specific credentials I requested. They informed me of the timeline that it would take during the process so I was not overly anxious wondering if I would get a prompt e-mail the I appreciate the offer for a background check and informing me of the time period this will take. Great news for parents!
My daughter has been struggling in some of her classes, but after canvassing friends I did not have any good leads on tutors. Theirs were either too expensive, not convenient or not available. In desperation I googled "tutors in LA" and this site was listed. What a great idea! Not only do the tutors come to your house, but you can interview a number of them to find the right fit and the billing is taken care of before they arrive. One word of advice to prospective tutors...spell check your responses to parents. I don't want someone tutoring my child who cannot spell simple words. I have already recommended this site to my friends who are in the same predicament. I would like to see more client testimonials listed for each tutor. It would give me more insight into each prospective tutor, but aside from that I have no complaints about the site set-up. In fact, it is quite consumer friendly and if you do have questions the customer support is excellent. Keep up the good work!
You took the hassle out of finding some help!
By the time a parent goes to the internet to search for a tutor you can be assured that the parent is at their wits end. The parent is emotionally distraught and worried for their child's school future. I came across WyzAnt and found it easy to get answers and real easy to search. It was great to see that the tutor would be within a certain distance from your home so that you wouldn't find the right tutor then realize that you had to drive across the metroplex. We found a tutor right near our home. I liked the fact that you could email the tutor and thus get a feel for them without having to pay first. The fact that you get a 100% guarantee for the first session is great. These things are a comfort at a time when a parent needs the comfort. You need easy and not more static to add to an already emotional experience. Your site is clear and with a very basic explanation so that there are no misunderstandings as you get started.
Quick Tutor Search
Searching for a suitable tutor is quick and easy. I submitted a request through WyzAnt to find someone who could help my younger brother in Trigonometry and History and in the same day received responses from tutors in my area. At took a matter of seconds to update my billing information, and once that was done my phone number was sent to the tutors that I selected. I received a call that same day and the following day, he was able to meet with my younger brother. It was so simple I didn't need to contact customer service for anything and did it all myself. The site is easy to navigate and there is just a few steps to complete before you can get started! I heard about this site from a my friend who actually tutors on here and she assured me that the tutors are well qualified. Not just anyone can sign up to be a tutor. The tutors have to pass background checks. Overall, I am extremely happy with ease of the whole process and would definitely recommend people to this site!
Easily find a qualified tutor
This website has been a great help! I was having a lot of trouble getting in touch with my professor when I needed to ask questions and the group reviews that were held often did not answer my specific questions. At this website, in literally seconds I found a qualified tutor that helped me at a time when I was really lost and confused. Payment is easy...once your information is entered, you no longer have to worry about it...your tutor will enter the hours and WyzAnt will take care of payment. Fabulous Spanish tutor!
This has been a most pleasant experience! This system made it easy to find a tutor in my area and the tutor we used was EXCELLENT! WyzAnt was very quick and simple to use. I did not have to wait long at all for a response or for arrangements to be made. I would definitely use it again! For me, this was an unknown system so I was concerned about how it would all work out. The system itself is set up to be straightforward. I really like how the biographies are posted too. You can read all about the tutor and their experience. We found someone who was a perfect fit - superb qualifications, kind and patient demeanor, and a joy to work with!!! What made this so great was the tutor herself! She had outstanding credentials and was very accommodating! My 20 year old needed help with her college Spanish work and was only home for the weekend. Our tutor completely understood, dropped everything, and came to the rescue! You have NO IDEA how much we appreciated that! My daughter loved Fabiola! The tutoring session was fantastic. We received one-on-one, careful attention. I have no doubt that my daughter will want to work with Fabiola again and again and we look forward to that. Wonderful Tutor
I was just told of the WyzAnt website this past week by a friend. I went on the website looking for a tutor on Sunday and by Monday I had a tutor at my home tutoring my daughter. The tutor responded to my email promptly, and was able to tutor my daughter in precalculus teaching her some short cuts and reviewing her work. We found out she also tutors in Chemistry, so she will not come again this week to help in that subject. I like the fact the website finds local tutors, so the travel time is minimized. This has been a terrific tool to help me find a tutor that knows the subject matter, is responsible, local and reasonable. Thanks WyzAnt!
Great solution when tutoring is needed!
As I was struggling with Financial Accounting, I wasn't sure what I could do to get help with that subject and succeed the class I was taking. I tried to search for tutors online and found the WyzAnt site, where I registered and found 5 tutors that could work with me on my needs. I called the WyzAnt customer service to get help and get someone to work with me immediately and the experience was pleasurable since I got great service, attention and the response of tutors calling me was almost immediately. I will certainly keep WyzAnt in mind when help is necessary!
Very Helpful Resource
In a panic to find a reputable tutor to help me through a college Chemistry class, I googled for help and found WyzAnt. This is a user friendly fast and reliable resource. Within approximately six hours of contacting possible tutors in my area I received several e-mails for available help. I connected with Nikki and we started sessions the very next day. Nikki came to my home and spent two very productive hours with me reviewing and teaching me needed material to be successful in the course. I found her to be very professional, knowledgeable of subject matter and supportive. I will be meeting with her regularly throughout my course and feel very comfortable in working with her. I appreciate being able to purchase credits on website so that there is no worries in pay transaction. In juggling full time work and school, the services offered by WyzAnt are very helpful. I have already referred two co-workers to the website and appreciate finding the help I needed.
Great Tutor Recommendation
WyzAnt is a great website to find a local tutor at great prices. They give you a detailed description of the tutor's experience and credentials. There is a wide variety of tutors to choose from and the payment process is very simple. If you want to change tutors or are unhappy with the tutor you have you can easily try another from the wide selection. I needed to find a tutor for my college chemistry class, so I searched on Google and found the WyzAnt website. I searched on the WyzAnt website and found a lot of chemistry tutors within my range that lived actually very close by. My tutor came to my house for my sessions and she was on time and professional. She was very knowledgeable about chemistry and came prepared with pre-made lesson plans. This website was very helpful in helping me find a knowledgeable and reliable tutor.
Excellent tutor with so much experience and so professional!
I was skeptical at first because I had never heard of WyzAnt. However, choosing Jessica was an excellent choice. She made me feel so comfortable, we had the session at my home. She was very professional and boy does she know Quick Books. I learned so much from her in one hour. I had already input the information into Quick Books but know I had some of it in the wrong place because my balance was not correct. She was able to delete and change things so quickly, it made my head swell. I would not hesitate to contact WyzAnt in the future and I'm going to recommend this company to all my friends and associates. I have a great report to give to my homeowners' association. I was actually able to sleep last night. Had I known it was going to be this easy, I would and should have set this up earlier!
Easy process and help was very beneficial
I searched a few websites, before coming across this website. It is nice to be able to see the tutors' experience and their qualifications before selecting one to assist me with my assignments. The tutor showed up promptly and was easy to work with and really knew what she was doing. I am confident that the assistance that I received will boost my grade from a "B" to an "A" that I feel I truly deserve.
Great Tutor
Today was my daughters first time being tutored in math. She has felt she could never do math. In 1 hour with her tutor she was able to change her whole feeling of failure in math and has already experienced success. She was left homework to do and has completed it and is working on an assignment to help her retain what she is learning. We have tried many things to help her learn in the past ... WyzAnt provides a great service! WyzAnt was easy to find a tutor through. We received emails to choose tutors in our area. It was very easy to narrow down the tutors we would be interested in. The whole system worked quickly and smoothly. Payment with pay pal is very easy also. Also...i don't have to run her to get her help...the tutor comes to us!! Could not ask for more!!
Excellent Tutor
We had tried student tutors and math labs as well as friends and family. After having very limited success, we asked around about private in-home tutors. A friend mentioned WyzAnt, and in the first attempt we located 3 local and very qualified tutors. We decided on Jessica because of her qualifications and testimonials. She has been a life-saver! She zeroed in on where my daughter was having difficulties and presented the material using several different approaches until she found one my daughter could understand. In addition, Jessica connected with my daughter and was able to talk to her in language she could relate to and help her to realize just how important an education is! We feel blessed to have Jessica working with our daughter.
So easy to use!
I really love how WyzAnt operates. I like being able to search through tutors and read their credentials and their location without having to sign up for anything or enter any personal information first. Having posted pictures of the tutors helped us identify the person we'll be meeting: I really like that feature, too. I also appreciate that we were able to email the tutor to get more information (e.g. where the tutoring would take place) before officially signing on. Our tutor responded the same day as our initial inquiry, and was able to begin tutoring within days! Being able to have billing information on file for automatic payment is very convenient, and thus far has been completely accurate and billed only after each tutoring session. The quality of the tutor has been terrific: he's been able to identify the gaps in knowledge that were keeping my niece from grasping more advanced concepts, and has explained math in a way that she understands! We are very pleased with WyzAnt!!
Helpful And Quick
So far I have had a good experience with the program. It was really easy to get started and once I found a tutor I was able to get started in a few days. I plan on using this site continuously until I finish school for any subject I need help with. The tutor I've been using seems very helpful and really knowledgeable on the subjects we have been covering. Although I do think the prices are a little steep I would like to see the prices drop by about a quarter of the price. This would make it much more affordable and I believe more people would use the site, I also think it would allow me to afford more sessions so I could get more one on one time.
Easy to use
My experience has been easy to use. The search was easy to narrow down what I was looking for and the payment is quick and painless. My tutor enters in a review of what we covered and I rate how the lesson was. WyzAnt pretty much takes care of the rest. Easy to use.

Great Website
I needed to find a tutor for my son and stumbled upon this website that made everything easier for us. Today is the first time that the tutor comes over to teach, he seemed to be very knowledgeable. I feel pretty confident. I also like the fact that the website pays the tutor so it makes it easier.
Find the Right Tutor FAST
As a student athlete and aspiring Geophysicist at the University of Texas finding time to study can be a challenge. When my grades started to slip, I became desperate for more personal attention and help. I decided to turn to the internet to help find a good tutor. The first site I visited had a myriad of tutors to choose from and I emailed about 5 of them. Never got a response- not even to say "Sorry, but I am too busy with other students and don't have time to help you." It was very frustrating and I began to lose hope about ever understanding the material enough to get a decent grade. Then I found WyzAnt! Thank you WyzAnt for setting up this site, I had no idea where to start with finding my daughter a physics tutor. I have to admit I was a bit skeptical to start, but in desperation I went with your site. Brian was a god sent. My daughter came home with this magic in her eyes. Brian was able to make sense of it all to her. My daughter said "Brian made it so simple, I felt stupid." She is kicking butt in class now, and has changed her attitude towards physics. I really can not thank you enough for building confidence in my daughter.

Wonderful Tutors
My son and I were very impressed. The tutor was very prepared for everything. It was like being in the first day of school. He let my son take an evaluation skill while he explained to me what would take place over the period of tutoring. I am really glad I decided to do this. Excellent Tutors
This is the best experience I have had with any tutors. Julie was great with the kids. Finding a tutor was so easy. I felt like it was just a click of a button and I had several tutors to choose from. All the information was right there to make your decision. I love the payment arrangements. You don't have to worry about giving the money at the time of the tutor lessons. It is just automatic. Love it. The support is great. If you have questions all you do is call or email, I prefer email as I am not a phone person at all. My overall experience and impression is this is the only place to find a tutor. All you have to do is give a brief summary of what your child is having difficulties with and it actually distinguishes the different tutors. It is great. I have told many people about this website and hopefully they will benefit like my kids are benefiting. Thanks WyzAnt for a great program and I will definitely be using you in the future.
Helpful Tutor Search
I used WyzAnt to search for a tutor and within a week I had set up my first session with a tutor. The profiles of tutors are so easy to read and the web site is very user friendly. Even when I wasn't emailing tutors, tutors were emailing me giving their credentials and why they would be a good fit to tutor me. There is such a wide variety of tutors for so many different subjects that I am sure to use WyzAnt for any of my other tutoring needs. I loved the package deal that came with pre-ordering credit from the website, as tutoring can get expensive it is nice to get a break anywhere you can, and WyzAnt definitely gives you the opportunity to save money and get extra credit for tutoring every which way you turn. The site also gives you tutors that are in your area, so finding a tutor that can meet at your home, or your college is as easy as 1 2 3. I loved using this website to search for a tutor and definitely suggest this site to anyone else who is looking for a tutor.
Great Tutoring Resource
We signed up for WyzAnt in October 2010 and immediately got responses from each tutor we selected. Making the selection was the most difficult part because there were so many qualified tutors in our area for high school English as well as advanced math and science courses. We chose two young, super smart (scary smart, really) recent college grads and have had great success. Dan in particular has been a great hit with our 16-year old son who was failing Geometry before we got to WyzAnt. Dan has really targeted our son's difficulties and is now helping him to strengthen his Algebra skills. Anna tutored our high school senior for the SAT writing portion and significantly improved his score. She is also tutoring him in AP Stats and Honors Physics. The bonus for us is that Anna is very familiar with our high school's math program as she tutors many of the kids from the same public school, if not the same class. Overall, we can't say enough about WyzAnt. Tutors are great, response is immediate and satisfaction is overwhelming!
No complaints
I was able to find a tutor who taught my subject. I received a quick response and was able to begin lessons almost immediately. I paid for my first hour, and met my tutor at a public location. Since I am satisfied with how the session went, I will be paying for more lessons. I am still figuring out how the payment system works, but so far everything is going smoothly. The only complaint I have is that I could only find two tutors near me for Japanese. Of these two, only one was a native speaker; therefore I really only had one choice. Thankfully the tutor turned out to be prepared and fairly personable.
So far very helpful
Your system did a very good job of putting me in touch very quickly with a number of possible tutors for a quite specific, college level math course. One possible tutor lived too far away, but within 24 hours we had connected with another tutor who lives near us. So in the space of less than three days we went from seeking a tutor to our student having his first meeting with the tutor. The tutor seems nice and well-qualified.

My son was having a difficult time in his German II class at our local high school, It's not that the teacher was bad it's just difficult to give one on one attention to every student when there are 30 kids for only 55 minutes a day. So, instead of letting him flounder for another semester I decided to Google German tutors and up popped the WyzAnt website! I am so glad that I did that because my son really likes his tutor and in just 15 minutes of his first official lesson she clarified noun cases which he said was huge! He stated at we were on our way home way home "what a good feeling it was to finally understand the noun cases and how it will be so much easier to move on." Excellent site to find a suitable tutor for students
Finding a tutor was much easier than I had envisioned with WyzAnt. I searched online for a tutor in math and spanish and WyzAnt popped up. I had no idea what a gem we had found. Our 16 year son struggled greatly last year in math and other subjects and we did not want a repeat this year. I submitted our requests with our ideal location and had responses within hours! We could read about each person's profile, their experience, rates and own personal statement regarding their qualifications to teach our son. Several agreed to meet with us that week at OUR chosen location, which is our local library. Additionally, after each session, we receive a note from the tutor informing us on what they discussed and what would be helpful for us to know. Great tool for finding exactly what you are looking for
As a child I was placed in a preschool program that immersed me to the French language. As a direct result I have had an ease with languages as an adult and I knew before I ever had children I would look for a similar program for my own children. Productive and efficient tutor service provision
I am taking a BioStatistics course on-line for the Master's in Health Care Administration. This is a six-week class, so the required information is tightly crammed and the studying goes in a very fast pace. To tell you the truth, when the class started I had no idea how difficult it could be. I just graduated from Bachelor's program with a 3.95 GPA, so when the second week of the class began, I realized that I am not so savvy in this subject. Very Efficient Process
In looking for tutoring help for freshmen courses in college, I located WyzAnt through Google. I found the web site easy to understand and user friendly. I work in a high school but when my son needed advanced math help I did not know where to turn. I found WyzAnt Tutoring on an internet search and I will admit, I was a bit wary. I had never heard of this site and in general am not one for trying unknown sites. After looking at the site I decided to try it and emailed a tutor in the subject area. By the end of the day at least 5 tutors in my area had emailed me. I selected a tutor, gave her a contact number and set up the first session the next day. Payment is so simple. There were a great selection of tutors within my area with the expertise I was looking for. I reviewed several tutors backgrounds and I contacted around four of them via e-mail. One of the four tutors I selected really stood out to me as far as her background. I really needed someone to help my 15 year old who has an IEP with better study habits, grammar,sentence structure, etc. Meredith of Baltimore is the tutor I choose and she has definitely backed up what was written down of her teaching experiences. Very thorough and connects well with my daughter
I searched for a tutor on the internet because my daughter wanted a female and all I could find through our school were male tutors. The WyzAnt website popped up when I entered "chemistry tutor in Boulder County". I really liked Rachel P.'s information and she sounded like a good fit for my daughter. We signed up for Rachel to tutor, entered our credit card info and were able to communicate with her all within a matter of a day or so. Once we made contact, we had our first session scheduled for 2 days later. It was all so easy so far! I made contact with customer service to confirm that there were no hidden charges, sign up fee, travel charges, etc. and they promptly responded assuring me that only the hourly tutor fee would apply. (an hourly fee that I felt was very fair). After our first session with Rachel, our daughter was a NEW person. It was as if a weight was lifted off of her. I cannot believe how quickly I was able to find a "perfect tutor" of Arabic by using your site! I submitted my need to find an Arabic-speaking tutor to help me with a specific situation: I had had my progressive curriculum of Arabic study at a language school interrupted and felt unready to enroll in the next level. What I sought was a tutor, very knowledgeable about the Arabic language, who could review with me and bring me up to a comfortable level of competence for continuance at the school. Within hours of my submission, I received a response. The responder stated that he believed he could help me. The tutor offered to meet me in person to see if we were a match. What I really liked about WyzAnt is that I was able to communicate by e-mail before posting any funds; I was a first-time user and felt hesitant about offering a credit card number at this early stage. Once I met the teacher, I immediately posted funds, taking advantage of a 5% discount, as I knew ahead that we were expecting a need for 5 or 6 lessons. WyzAnt also allowed me to find a local teacher, which both teacher and student appreciated! A day or so later, I also received another response from the WyzAnt service. This person also sounded very competent, but politely withdrew when he/she heard that I had made a commitment to another teacher. Easy and efficient site
Met with Chris for the first time today. He spent time getting to know me and how I process. I split the hour with my son. We didn't have much time together but we're able to formulate a plan for my success. I felt Chris was supportive and encouraging. WyzAnt was easy to use. I'm not one that has the greatest computer skills so for me to get around the site and explore the potential offers and feel that is was "friendly" is huge. I have considered tutoring before but was put off by the site being too complicated. Even though I knew who I wanted as a tutor, I received many responses to my inquiry. I looked up the profiles of the tutors who responded and decided to stick with one that I had already chosen. Because I am in a program that will take me a few years, I opted for the largest plan and was happy to get the discount. My children have done other programs and I have never been offered a discount even when having multiple children at the site or being a repeat customer. WyzAnt - A Pretty Wise Move
What a find WyzAnt has been for me and my granddaughter! I looked at other options and not only were they extremely expensive for these tough economic times, but they also required that we go out to their facilities, (another expense). In addition, that would mean another night or two out of the house when she is only four and she already has pre-school during the day and classes on three nights. So far this has been a perfect solution to my dilemma about tutoring my granddaughter in reading. I taught my own children to read, but my work schedule has become increasingly hectic making it impossible to devote the needed amount of time to tutoring her myself. I also got to choose someone I thought would suit her personality and learning style. Where else would that be possible? I appreciate the ease of paying for lessons as well. Pleasant surprise with tutoring experience
I needed a Spanish tutor for my son and I wasn't sure how to go about finding one. I found WyzAnt through Google. Once I put in my request for a tutor I got a response within a day. She lives in our same town so we don't have to drive far to meet. I also worried that my son would not want to go each week, but that has not been the case. The tutor we found is not only excellent at speaking and teaching Spanish, she seems to relate well to my son which seems to make the sessions enjoyable and fun. He brought his grade up from an F to a C in just 3 weeks, and I think it will continue to rise. His class participation grade is also much better, as when the teacher calls on him in class he is able to answer the questions. He comments after each session that it was good and helpful. By the next morning, I received a note from Clark saying that he was interested in tutoring Daniel, if we had not yet found a tutor. We are so happy we contacted Clark. He is AMAZING. He has a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering and is patient, thorough and a wonderful teacher. Daniel has told me that Clark is much "smarter" than his own teacher. Clark sits with Daniel, goes over the problems with him and teaches him how to solve the equations for himself - for example: "The first thing I did was to derive a set of equations from these two formulas to find any quantity from any other. This was done by solving each formula for ?, then equating them. I left this set of equations with Daniel. When asked to solve this type of problem in the future, all he needs to do is look up on the list of equations to find which formula has the desired quantity by itself in terms of the given quantities."
