An Extremely Positive Experience
My whole experience with Wyzant has been extremely positive. I was hesitant to contact a tutoring service in the first place, but after contacting several colleges in my search for tutors for my child, and also after posting a number of signs for tutors - both, with absolutely no success, I decided to give Wyzant a try. And it's been a great experience. I initially chatted online with a Wyzant customer rep and then called Wyzant directly. I found both reps extremely friendly and helpful. The tutor we decided on has been amazing for my child. He's not only knowledgeable, but extremely patient and thorough. He's a wonderful tutor - a "real find!" But what's also amazing is that compared to the initial stress and frustration of trying to find a tutor on my own, the process of working through Wyzant is so much easier. I wish I had known about Wyzant several months earlier. I have since recommended Wyzant to two other parents who are looking for tutors for their children, and will continue to recommend your service to others. Thanks very much!

First off let me tell you about my experience as a whole, I wanted to request math tutoring for me to brush up for the GMAT being that I have not taken math classes in about (4) years I have forgotten a bunch of terminology, rules, and so forth. I came across this website and found it to be very informative, each tutor has their description listed, where they went to school, what they studied, subjects they have tutored in. I like how you can select many individuals whom you would like to get more information on, and it directs you to email them directly. It’s great because there is no 3rd person we have to go through everything is set up on the web site. Once you speak to the tutors you have emailed and selected one which you feel is best, you can enter you billing information online, and select a tutor. Once I had paid for my first lesson, I simply emailed the tutor whom I wanted to meet with and we both set up a time and date. It’s great because the tutor was working around my schedule; I work full time so time to meet with tutors is limited for me. We met in a public place, and got to work. I didn’t purchase a package because I wanted to check out the whole experience first. After my first lesson I went and purchased a package at a discount price, and who doesn’t love a discount.
Excellent Overall
WyzAnt has been great so far. My kids are very happy with Anna (music lessons), and we appreciate the regular written feedback we get after each lesson.
Fits my Needs
I wanted to learn some basic Japanese when I travel there for business. I have no need to learn the characters as I need to demonstrate the respect I feel when visiting Tokyo. This was an easy way to find a tutor that met my needs. My disposable time is limited and the tutor comes to my office, is on time, thorough and tailors the program to my needs. It is easy to register, pay and coordinate classes/programs. From the initial sessions, the tutor is well informed not just about the language, but about the culture, which is so important. Great experience thus far!

Great Service
I needed a tutor for my son and didn't know how to go about getting one that was good, trustworthy inexpensive and that he would feel comfortable with so I did a search in Google for "tutors" and Wyzant Tutoring popped up. At first I was skeptical, but after sending out a couple of emails and talking to some of the tutors I decided to give the service a try. I found a great match for my son and I'm happy to say I am satisfied with my choice. I would definitely recommend this service to other parents.
Helpful and well organized system.
I have had an excellent experience using Wyzant Inc. I was looking on the internet for a possible tutor for my son, I never heard about Wyzant before. It was joy to my eyes when I started looking at the volume of tutors available for me to interview close to my zip code. I emailed a few tutors and had very quick feedback from each of the tutors, plus the first hour is free if the tutor is not suitable for your child's needs. It's like going to the supermarket and picking until you find everything that your looking for. I think that I have found the right tutor for my son and if not the possibilities are endless because I have Wyzant's help. Very good selection of tutors and good support
I really liked the selection of tutors on the site and especially appreciated the 1 hour free lesson guarantee. I met with someone for an hour but didn't think it was a good fit and decided to go with another tutor from this site. WyzAnt reimbursed me for that first hour as part of their guarantee policy. That makes it really easy to try and find a good tutor without the pressure of paying for someone that you didn't like. The site is also easy to navigate and I would recommend this highly.

My first session was wonderful. My tutor confirmed and communicated with me often before the lesson. I felt at ease with her professionalism and caring before meeting her. During my lesson she was ever so patient, supportive and gave me a lot of praise for my efforts. She came prepared with various lessons and hand-outs (which she left so I could study), and adjusted the session according to my needs with perfection. I highly recommend her. My experience using wyzant was interesting. The customer support reps helped me find a tutor. Several tutors replied me and I eventually got a tutor. However, I would recommend that the tutors should be reviewed from time to time in their areas of specialization so that they would be aware of recent changes to some of these exams. I like the way lessons are paid for. My overall impression about wyzant is good and I would recommend it to anybody.

Very Efficient Experience
I must admit, that at first, I was a skeptical and cautious. I mean, finding at site, WyzAnt, online through a "Google Search" I was naturally concerned that it would be a rip-off website with no substance. I must tell you, I'm very pleased with the results. Finding a good tutor, local to my area, who REALLY knows his/her subject matter for my son, was very easy. Knowing that Wyzant performs a background check on your tutors certainly eased many of my concerns. Communicating with and scheduling convenient appointments with my tutor is very easy. And, of course, the price/hr doesn't "Break the Bank". Good Job, WyzAnt !!

It was so easy!
I was really stuck on where to send my son for tutoring. I am a single mom with a long commute, and I couldn't figure out how to get him there and back. In-home tutoring is a great solution for my high school son. The tutor I found is knowledgeable and very flexible. I am very pleased with the service and convenience.

I can't thank you enough. I truly enjoyed the tutoring experience. I am a 50 yr old gentleman that needed tutoring in Hebrew for my daughter's upcoming Bat Mitzvah. My tutor - Les C was fantastic. He helped me learn what I needed and even went out of his way to provide me additional learning tools. My tutor was a great person and a great help. I was so lost in my class and he helped me so much that I was able to do most of my final project myself. I was extremely skeptical looking for a tutor on line, without having personal introduction or reference. I was very apprehensive about having a stranger walk into my house to work with my child! However, I am truly amazed at how professional the tutors are, how quick the response has been and how easy the whole process turned out to be. We've used two tutors. The first was very reasonably priced but wasn't the best fit, so we were not charged for the session. The second tutor is very reasonably priced and is a GREAT fit, so we're sticking with her. And Wyzant's customer service team is top-notch. This has been a great experience from the get-go. What I liked first upon entering the WyzAnt website was that I could pick the area of interest so easily. There was a large range of tutors to choose from and the pictures were a big help. The detailed listings of their expertise was very helpful in choosing. I especially like the feature where payment is done electronically.

The website was very easy to use. Once I put in my search criteria, I had many tutors respond and we were able to pick the one that best fit our needs. One of the first tutors to respond, happened to be one we had already been looking at, so our decision was easy. The tutor we chose has been very helpful to my son as he prepares for his SATs.

Variety of tutors to choose from
Very helpful sight in finding a tutor. Ability to sort by location or school subject. Also, if you are on a tight budget, as we are, you can see tutors available at their hourly rate. Unfortunately, the first 5 tutors I had chosen based on their background and subject knowledge, were not available and most of them got back to me letting me know in a timely manner. We have ended up with a tutor that is a tad higher in price than we were expecting, but she is wonderful and helping my daughter with her 9th grade geometry. It is definitely worth it, and effective. We have been meeting once a week at the local library, and this week will meet twice as my daughter has a test on Friday. Our tutor was able to accommodate us for a Thursday night meeting in preparation for Friday's test. I am satisfied with our tutor and how she has helped my daughter learn and gain confidence in her Geometry class.
