A bullet of mass m moves with a horizontal speed u to strike a large wooden block of mass M that hangs vertically by two cords.
On stricking the bullet gets embedded into the block of mass M amd tbe system ( bullet+ pendulum) swings up to a maximum height h. Show that u= ((m+M)/m)* sqrt of 2gh
