the longest side of a triangle is always opposite the largest angle
for an obtuse triangle, the longest side is always opposite the obtuse angle, the angle > 90 degrees. There will only be one obtuse angle in any obtuse triangle. The other two angles will always be acute.
for an acute triangle, the longest side is opposite the acute angle that is largest. An acute triangle will have three actute angles. If it's an equilateral triangle, it's an acute triangle, but a three way tie for "longest" side and "largest" angle which is 60 degrees
.
in an acute angle with 3 different sides, the longest side will be opposite an angle A where 60<A<90 degrees, each of the other two acute angles, B and C will have angles that are 0<B, C < A<90 such as A=80 degrees, B = 79 degrees, C = 21 degrees, or A =89 degrees, B= 88 degrees, C =3 degrees or such as A=61, B=60, C =59 degrees. The three angles always sum to 180 degrees
