They go 120 miles in 2 hours.

860 / 120 = 7 remainder 20

So they will stop 7 times.

Each 120 mile mini-journey is followed by 30 min = 1/2 hour.

So the time for each mini-journey is 2.5 hours = 2 and 1/2 hour

Now the remaining 20 miles at 60 mph takes 20/60 = 1/3 hour = 20 minutes

The total time including breaks in HOURS is then:

7 x (2 and 1/2) + 1/3 =

7/1 x 5/2 + 1/3 =

35/2 + 1/3 =

(105 + 2)/6
