X squared +5x+6 can be easily factored. Begin with the factors of 6. Those being 1,2,3,6.
Ask yourself what 2 factors can be multiplied to get six but if added give you 5?
factor (x+2)(x+3)= x squared +2x+3x+6 Use the FOIL method to check FOIL means first, inner outer last.
Hope this helped. Katie Maurer
