     4x = father's age now

 

x+28 = Jason's age in 28 years and 4x+28 = father's age in 28 years

 

x+28 = (3/5)(4x+28)

 

5x+140 = 12x+ 84

 

        7x = 56     x = 8

 

Jason is 8 years old now and his father's age now is 32.  So, when Jason was born, Jason's father was 24 years of age.
