Boat velocity in still water=x km/ hr

River velocity =y km/ hr

 

5(x-y)=100

2(x+y)=100

 

Solving the above two equations

 

10x-10y=200

10x+10y=500

 

20x=700

x=35 km/hr

y =15 km/hr
