So, if 3 children got 50000, they got 3(50000) = 150000 total.

 

If he gave 1/6 away, the 150000 is 5/6 of what was left.

 

(5/6)x = 150000

x = 150000(6/5)

x = 180000

 

That 180000 is 9/10 of the money he started with.

 

(9/10)c = 180000 

c = 180000(10/9)

c = 200000

 

He started with rs200000.
