Calculus 1 - Newton's Method

Use Newton’s method with the initial approximation 𝑥1=1, to find 𝑥3, the third approximation to the root of the equation 𝑥3+2𝑥−4=0.
 
 
I would appreciate it if someone could show me a step-by-step solution.

As you know, use 3x^2 + 2 for the derivative and x1 = 1 for the initial condition
