The facts you have allow you to write x² + y² = 25, using the Pythagorean theorem (which I think would have occurred to you even if there were not the hint, explicitly).

 

Again looking at the figure and the given facts, write an equation for Area.

 

You now have two equations and two unknowns.  Solve the system, using SUBSTITUTION.
