Then What is the density of mercury in pounds per cubic inch (lb/in3) 1 lb=454g, 1 in- 2.54 cm.

density = mass/volume = 306 grams/22.5 cc = 13.6 grams/cc

 

= 13.6 grams/cc * 1/454 pounds/grams * (2.54)³ cc/inch³  = 0.491 pound per cubic inch
