One bag of pretzels cost three dollars. Five bags of pretzels costs $10.Which has the lower unit price?

Note: You're assuming that the bags are of the same weight (content). This was not stated explicitly.  In giving an answer, always try to see if there are necessary assumptions. 
 
If this were a packet of five 5 ounce bags, selling for $10 total vs. one bag selling at $3 but containing 16 ounces, then the unit cost, based on cost of one ounce, would be 0.40 $/oz and 0.3125 $/oz, respectively, i.e. the lower unit cost for one ounce of pretzels would be the single 16 ounce bag at $5.00.

oops...in my comment, the last part should be $3.00 for the 16 oz single bag.  Sorryf about the typo!
