I would like to learn mathematics that are fundamental for data science and machine learning like stats, calculus, and linear algebra. I am a graduate student in computer science, but I would say my mathematics skills are very weak. I have taken several ML classes, NLP, deep learning, and reinforcement learning, but I am clearly missing prerequisites. I would love to dedicate around 30+ hours a week this summer to improve my math skills. I listed many types of math because I'm not sure which to pursue; I would like some direction. I have never take Calculus or Linear Algebra, but I'm eager to fix that soon. I have taken an intro statistics course, but I know how difficult stats can be.

I have a test coming up for the second half of unit 10 of AP Calculus BC. This part of the unit mainly deals with Taylor series, Maclaurin series, Radius of convergence, Interval of Convergence, and Lagrange form of the remainder.

Seeking an in-person math tutor in Chicago for my 15 year old daughter who attends a CPS competitive arts conservatory. She is a former Montessori student whose math education was disrupted during COVID, leaving gaps between her conceptual foundation and where she needs to be now. She can do some algebra but needs someone who understands how Montessori math builds and can bridge that with traditional methods. She is cooperative, creative, and low key ; she needs a tutor who is calm, patient, and quietly competent. No loud energy, no over-explaining, no pressure. Just smart and steady. One hour per week to start, in person preferred, Chicago, South Loop.

My son will be entering 8th grade this coming fall. He tends to struggle more with number theory and probability, and he also takes longer than average to solve problems. We believe he still needs to build stronger problem-solving strategies and efficiency.
Starting this summer, we would like to begin preparing him for the AMC 10. In particular, we hope to focus on developing problem-solving techniques and test strategies, as this is currently one of his weaker areas.
In addition, we are interested in having him work on proof-based mathematics alongside contest preparation — including Intro to Proofs and possibly USAMTS-style problem solving — to build deeper mathematical thinking.
We are looking for a long-term tutoring relationship and would love to work with you consistently. Our target rate would be $100 per hour — please let us know if this works.

I am looking for a few beginners lessons for my 11 year old daughter. She has a sewing machine but none of us know how to use it. She has so many project ideas, I’d love for her to learn the skills and how to use the tools she needs!
